They charged a tarriff fee , even though , it stated on the invoice that there is NONE . $175 (I will take to small claims court ) if I don't get refunded . Also the dress was 2 sizes too big when when it came in . So I lost a lot of money over $1,000.00 & I had to order another dress online . I just picked up my MOG dress. I went to Enelda's back in February because they said they had a dress I had found online that I was having trouble finding anywhere locally. When I got to the shop they did not in fact have the dress but encouraged me to try on others that I really didn't like. I tried on one by the same maker in a similar color and decided to order the desired dress even though I couldn't try it on. They took the measurements and ordered the dress many sizes larger than I thought I needed. I expressed concern and they said "we know what we are doing - bridal sizing is different". Well it is now June and I have my dress. It falls off me. . . It is at least three sizes too big. No, I have not lost enough weight for this to happen. I had already decided not to have them alter the dress because I just wasn't comfortable but now will end up paying hundreds of dollars in alterations to be able to wear it. I might just look for something else but time is getting tight now. Very disappointed. There are other places. read more

I've never been more upset with an experience at a store. I got married in November, and my bridesmaids all went to try on and get fitted for dresses in Sparta. I flew out to NJ from AZ to experience the fun. At the original fitting, there were a lot of customers during our scheduled time, and there wasn't much attention put on either my sister or my other bridesmaid. They found 2 dresses they both loved, and we paid in full after taking measurements. Several months later (and having to follow up with the bridal shop ourselves), my sister and my bridesmaid were finally informed the dresses were in. Mind you, they never called me (even though they insisted they did!). Both of them were told that there was no room to try on the dress, so they took the dresses to my parent's home in Sparta and tried them on. My sister's dress was ruined in the front and the ruching was completely sewn incorrectly. Her dress was also too large. My other bridesmaid's dress was 6 sizes too big. When she called to ask them what had happened, they said she must have lost weight. She has been the same size for as long as I've known here (over 10 years). They insisted both bring back the dress and for a fee, they would fix the sizing because "Clearly, this is not our fault and both of you must have lost weight." We were mortified. After spending $300+ on each dress AND THEN being told me needed to pay for their mistake, we ended up going online and buying the same dresses for 1/4 of the price with the correct sizing. After doing our own research, we also noticed they were using a 3 year old measuring guide, which is the reason the dresses were delivered incorrectly. All we wanted was for them to fix the problem and replace the dresses, but they blamed the customer. I highly recommend if you want a good experience, go elsewhere. Not worth your time. read more

STAY AWAY!!! Terrible customer service, plus they fit this to someone who has much larger breasts than me. I was not wearing a bra when they measured me. Never called me to let me know when dress was in. Every time I called, I was told someone would call me in an hour. Nobody ever called back. Once my dress was in, the breast cups were so large they didn't even touch my skin. We FINALLY scheduled a second/final fitting. I show up at the scheduled time and they tell me it's not ready and come back in 30 minutes. I came back in an hour STILL NOT READY. I was so pissed at this point I demanded the dress without the fitting. It still took them about 45 minutes to hand over my dress. They never addressed the cups!!! Luckily we have a seamstress in the family. We adjusted what we could and used fabric tape & my hair to cover the rest. THE ONLY SAVING GRACE was I had a wardrobe change for the reception, so I only had to wear this for about 30 minutes. There is NO WAY I could've worn this at the reception. read more

Ordered a bridesmaid dress in June and by mid-September still did not get a call. When I did call they claimed the dresses just came in and we could call to make an appointment to get them. When I did, I was told that there was no one who could alter the dress available on a Saturday. When we got there to get our dresses, we were told that there were no dressing rooms available and sent on our way, despite having made an appointment to get the dresses. The dress itself was clearly not pressed, just removed from the box it was shipped in. When I tried on my dress, it was obvious that the front of it was not properly sewn as stitching is loose and, in some places, ripped entirely, leaving a darted dress hanging awkwardly. When we called to complain we were told that we should have tried the dresses on while we were there. They also claimed to have called the bride to let her know that the dresses were in - this is not true. The bride never received any phone call from them. When I spoke to someone about having my dress fixed, I was told that I would be charged for alterations even though the dress arrived damaged. read more

After my gown was completely botched at a different tailor I brought my dress to her one week before my wedding in a panic. They fixed my dress to be something better than what I could have ever imagined. Her attention to detail and her skill are what puts her above the rest. I am so happy I brought my dress to her. Please, do yourself a favor and stay away from this store. Almost every aspect of the dress buying process here was a nightmare. Against my better judgement I used this shop because they were the only store I could find that carried the dress I wanted, which happened to be more than 3 seasons old... Dress/Tailoring They ordered the dress too small (I tried on a size 12 off the rack, and it fit perfectly (aside from length). Why order a size 10?, Then they did all they could to NOT alter it properly (eg, excuses, adding corsetry, etc). She insisted that "I would lose weight" because I am a bride! Adding all of the corsetry and then trying to tailor a size 10 dress to a size 12 body made for a very ill fitting dress. Please don't think I didn't speak up-- I asked for changes, but they fought me! They assured me that with all of the tweaks they were adding it would be fine. On the day of my wedding my dress looked and FELT horrible! Too tight, my train dragged on the ground when bustled, the neckline was not correct; it just didn't fall the way it should have. In all of my wedding pictures my dress has a noticeable crease/fold going across my stomach where the dress was poorly altered. It was such a beautiful Pronovias dress, it is a terrible shame. And it was my one chance, I don't get a redo--I am so angry that I have to live with these pictures of this horrible dress for the rest of my life. The dress was very overpriced, the tailoring was shoddy, and the customer service was poor. Shop The shop is not the model of a well appointed, well taken care of bridal boutique. It is very crammed, over stocked with gaudy cocktail gowns, and musty. The fitting rooms are need in serious updating/repair. The stock is not very extensive and their styles are outdated. The entire time I was at my appointments I could hear nothing but dogs barking from next door. Customer Service Horrible. Appointments are a nightmare, waiting is a problem, there is not enough room in the store for 4 people. They do not let you know details of your dress or take pictures in dresses to compare (presumably so you don't go elsewhere to find the dress). How are you supposed to objectively pick a dress if you can't see pictures of yourself in it? I wish I had gone to Sew & Sew Bridals... the customer service there was SO MUCH better. Only at the time they did not carry Pronovias (I'm not certain if they do now). read more

I was very happy with my dress experience. The owner and her niece Karen are so sweet and accommodating. They made the process comfortable and enjoyable. This is not a place to shop if you are looking to get away with it cheap - they dresses are on the higher end and worth every penny. I chose a Maggie Sottero dress and was complimented the entire night. I felt like a princess. Enelda's did three fittings on me and instructed me to bring a few bridesmaids on the last appointment to learn how to bustle me. My only critique is that the fitting rooms are a little small and fittings were a little pricey, but it was my choice to get them done there. read more

I am a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding and this is where she is getting our dresses from. I sent them a check as a deposit on the dress. They said they didn't recieve the check so I called and paid the deposit with my debit card. Then 12 days later they cashed the check they said the never received which in turn bounced my rent check. They refunded my second deposit. But I am still out an extra $70 for overdraw and returned check fee. All because they cashed a check they said they never received. Boo. read more

I went in to look for a bridal gown on Saturday and had an absolutely horrible experience. The store was a mess, disorganized and noisy. The women working did not pay attention and I had to ask 4 times for the name of the designer of a dress and she had to 'look it up in the computer.' Also, they do not allow you to take pictures in the dresses. Definitely will never go back and hope you spare yourself the trouble. read more

Fellow Brides - I fell victim to Bridals by Roma. They took my deposit in February and never ordered my dress. I was unable to find out who the manufacturer was so I was forced to find a new dress. I went to Enelda's in Sparta yesterday and found a gorgeous dress - even BETTER than the one at Roma. It's a small little boutique but they have a great selection of the most beautiful dresses. I had my wedding dress and alterations done at Eneldas. I was looking for something with a vintage feel and had been looking at alternative dresses in a boutique in NYC and anthopologie's wedding line. I gave Enelda's a try and she ended up knowing exactly the dress that would fit my body and my style perfectly. I ended up getting the first one I tried. I felt that I received the dress for a good price. She tailored it perfectly to my body. She is an expert at what she does. Enelda was very responsive to my requests until the very end. A week or two before I wanted a little more space around my diaphragm and she created it happily. The dress fit me like a glove and gave me nice curves (which I do not typically have). It was a relief to feel like I could trustzanetich that someone was going to take care of such an important part of the wedding. Also, she does many phases of alterations and they were very affordable. If you are a bride and go to Enelda, you can trust that she will give you her undivided attention and take excellent care of you. I felt incredibly beautiful and loved my dress on my wedding day.
