After lots of searching, I settled on a dress I felt would work for me even if it wasn't perfect. Two days before the wedding, a friend suggested an alternation that would transform it into the perfect gown but I knew it was too late. I called every tailor I knew but no one was willing to help. With 24 hours to go, Abby returned my call. She opened her shop and within an hour, had the alterations done. She could have charged me anything but only charged for the hour's work! My son picked up the dress and handed it off to me at the rehearsal dinner a few hours later. The dress was beautiful and the next day was great! There are no seamstresses left like Abby. No wonder she has such a great reputation.

My answer was "no but my biggest concern is my chest. I'm thinking a v neck would look nice, not too much cleavage and no mermaid, oh and I like pearls." When I got to my appointment Tina told me to look around and pick some dresses to try. When walking around I could see a dress in the back and I was like OMG, that's gorgeous, I wish it was on the floor, I assumed it was someone's dress so I didn't say anything. I tried a couple of dresses on and after a couple Tina said "after our conversation on the phone I put a dress to the side that I thought fit everything you described and that I think would fit you well" IT WAS THE DRESS IN THE BACK. She literally picked my dress from a phone conversation! I tried it on and it was the dress. Nothing else felt right after it. I didn't want to purchase it that day because I hadn't tried on many dresses and had another appointment after. Tina could tell I wasn't ready to purchase and told me to take my time and not to worry, get in touch if I want it. Well after that nothing compared, I called back two days later to ask if I could bring my dad and the rest is history. Tina was amazing and the shop had that nice home/family feel. I highly recommend Lady Gray! Thank you Tina!

One word. RIDICULOUS…read more My mother and I stopped by one day to look for my wedding gown. I was so ecstatic that I had found "the one" on the first try, so took the Floor Model home. Of course it was about 5 or 6 sizes too big on me, so and it had a lot of alterations that needed to be done, so I had to return to the store on a different occasion... and that is when the nightmare began. The owner Christina is completely unprofessional. During the course of my returns for the alterations (I had also bought my bridesmaids gowns and Tuxes from the shop) she had thrown my mother out of the store for DARING to ask for a replacement dress for my sister (her dress came in a size smaller than we requested), made my maid of honor cry (because apparently it was her fault that she ordered the wrong dress; it was supposed to be floor length, the one that came in was up to her knees.) Called my sister fat (because we all know you're obese when you are a size 2) and said that I "ruined" my wedding gown by making alterations to it because even touching a thread is a "diss" to the designer. (I'm so sure the designer cares that I decided to make the dress MY size and added straps for better support). My sister came back for alterations, but all they did was make her dress worse and made her pay for it. Apparently she is too busy talking to her fax machine than to actual customers. As it stands it is the day before my wedding and my sister does not have a gown. She made a huge fuss about how "rude" I was for coming into the store that first day (because apparently you can only come by appointment. Something that she didn't make clear when I walked and and let me look around) and how I'm the worst customer she has ever had. Well excuse me for coming into your store, trying a dress for the first time and literally dropping a couple grand on your desk as I walk out. Sorry, I was such a "horrible" customer.

Despite this, the establishment ordered her an even larger size! When her dress arrived she was then told they did not have enough time to complete the many alterations needed before her wedding. This was especially disappointing because her wedding date was known when the dress was originally ordered. As a result, she has had to find another seamstress to make the necessary alterations. We found the entire experience very concerning and frustrating. Ordering a dress considerably larger than the already-too-large sample, followed by being told there wasn't enough time for alterations, left us questioning the level of care and attention given to her order. I would not recommend this establishment.
