The young lady who did the intake knew so little about jewelry repair, and didn't ask the proper questions. I was also told that I had to have a customized piece for an earring replacement. This was after I mentioned that any sort of replacement piece would do. I left QJR with all my jewelry, deciding to go somewhere else. I did go somewhere else, and for now, I can tell you the other jeweler replaced my missing earring piece for free! (As it should be, the replacement piece is probably worth .10 cents wholesale). A year or two ago, I went there with some diamond jewelry that I was not wearing. The staff members were SO patient and helpful. They turned my aunt's engagement ring diamond from the 1940's into a beautiful pendant. Even more astonishing was the by-pass ring they designed and created from two diamonds. Both watches were repaired for fair prices and expertly. Previous estimates quoted total overhaul and replacement of parts. In fact both watches were no more than six months old. The second watch I waited three weeks for an inflated estimate. Franklin Clock shop and Mahmoud repaired the watch in one day!! I am grateful to Mahmoud and wanted to praise him for his honesty and fairness. I will always bring my work to him in the future and my word of mouth will bring additional customers I hope.
