Dr. Dan Tran is amazing. Excellent work, no pain, thourough communication throughout the whole root canal, very very efficient almost perfect I would gladly say. The front office is ok, but most of the time they are great! The office is also very calm, peaceful, and I love the decor in the bathroom! Kind of funny but I do, if I can find the photo I will post it. Everyone who I encountered truly showed empathy, respect, care, compassion, and total professionalism. It is not like other places where the dentist / endodontist is talking to the assistant about books they read, or the weekend they had while I am sitting in the chair like thinking this is so rude! They do not talk like you are not there. They check in to ensure you are doing ok, they take special care of their patients. I posted a youtube video promoting Dr. Dan Tran. He is a miracle worker no joke. Further the office is extremely responsive. They also call you the very next day to check on you and ask if you have any pain. When you call the office you can leave a message with the confidence that you will get a call back. I do not have insurance, but I also don't have teeth that will regenerate, so I went to Dr. Tran for all THREE root canals in a matter of a few months. I am so glad I did, and wish I made the decision sooner, but like I said, I knew he would do an excellent job. A Dentist who I will write a review on soon, Well he and the other dentist at their office told me my tooth needed to be extracted after many months of waiting on this dentist to crown the tooth. I was devastated. I was crying in the Gap! Well, I said to myself I am calling Dr. Tran. I know he can do it, I just know. I don't care what Dr. ...... says, he does not have the final say! Dr. Tran's explanations about my pain, what he was going to do, the procedure, & what to expect during & after were clear & understandable. He was very careful to make sure I wasn't too uncomfortable or confused about anything. The assistant whose name I have, sadly, forgotten (big shout out to him for being great, though), was caring, compassionate, & clear. Burned lip... I was referred here by my dentist for a procedure. The place was clean and the dentist was nice however, during the procedure I felt a quick sharp sting on my lip while he was using a machine. The pain came and went very quickly. After the procedure was done I looked at my lip, while still in the dental chair and saw this strange mark along with swelling on my lip. I realized that he burned me. (My lip was still numb at this point.) They tried to wipe it off but obviously you can't wipe away a burn. Now I have to walk around with this strange burn on my lip until it heals and hopefully it doesn't leave a permanent scar. Also, the laser used doesn't seem worth the price that they charge. It was used for a few seconds during my procedure and it's priced at $250. Drilling was still required and it did not seem to cut down on the time of the procedure since it still look almost 2 hours when the dentist said it would take about a hour. I don't know when my lip will heal or if it will leave a scar. The dentist attempted to blame it on the procedure being difficult but I don't think that excuse is cause to burn my lip. The proper response is "sorry, I made a mistake". I've never experienced anything like this before. Clearly, I'll be going somewhere else in the future. (See pictures) read more

Dr Tran is the best! I had a very bad experience with getting a root canal done several years ago and the dentist left me with an unfinished root canal, with a temporary filling that was cracking and hurt and I could not eat on my left side for 7 years!! I was extremely fearful to return to have this procedure finished, but Dr. Tran assured me I would be comfortable and would not feel any pain. The office did a head CT Scan as well as X-rays and Dr. Tran and his staff explained everything thoroughly to me- before, during, and after the procedure. I felt 0 discomfort during the procedure and was minimally sore for the day and a day after. I didn't even need pain medication the next day. If you need a root canal, or any service he offers, I fully recommend him 100%. I will never go anywhere else to have this type of work completed. read more

I was referred to Endocare Pinole by Dr. Rosales at Smiles San Pablo when he realized I'd need an extensive root canal. After calling with my referral, I was quickly given an appointment and sent my paper work. When I misplaced the email with the document link I found I was able to complete the forms online at their website! Such a great touch! They had a protected link that allowed me safely and privately fill out my paper work which helped streamline the services. Upon arriving I was promptly greeted. The secretary was clear and knowledgeable in services, what was covered by my coverage, and what expenses I needed to pay out of pocket. Prior to beginning the treatment the dental assistant greeted me and explained in detail what to expect. She was very helpful. Dr. Tran was my doctor. He was EXCELLENT! He was informative and took his time. He handled my tooth and treatment with great care. He and his assistant checked my comfort throughout the process and due to the extremity of my case needed to schedule a second visit. Between visits I was called and checked on and made to feel that my healing was important and being monitored. The 2nd visit went great also! I was contacted prior to my visit and asked if I could come a little later as they were a bit behind. Such a great customer service touch! I appreciated the transparency as I didn't have to come in and wait. I felt my my time was respected and valued! It also spoke volumes to their professionalism! So thankful for it! When I arrived I was promptly greeted again, taken care of well by the dental assistant and Dr. Tran. During my checkout there were some financial questions that arose and the secretary and Dr. Tran very tastefully resolved the situation and continued with the stellar service. Within 24 hrs. I took my 8 year old to be checked out for dental work. They only see patients and do procedures if they're 12 and older but they allowed us to come in and charge me x-rays and consultation $300 just to tell me they can't do it. They've done this before when I got there yesterday I should've known to walk out, but my son really needs to get his teeth fixed they didn't even offer to give me credit or anything. I expressed to the receptionist she said the doctor can help he's really good, but he was not. They need to do phone consultation or evaluate their patients records before they have parents come in they can't afford. read more

I am very happy I came here for my root canal. They have friendly staff and a great Dr. My root canal was done in an hour and the doctor and his assistant work very well together. They had such a calm energy and the assistant was ready with instruments even before the doc would ask for them. I felt at ease that they knew what they were doing. The dental care I received was excellent. I had a root canal done, I was in and out within an hour with minimal pain, The billing is a whole different story. Turns out Endocare overcharged me and my insurance company. When my insurance company discovered the overpayment and asked Endocare to returned the $238.90 overpayment. Endocare chose to try and bill me the $238.90 with interest 7 months after the procedure. Even though they already overcharged me by $164 the day of the procedure. If you go here make sure you check with your insurance company to see what are you copayment will be before they try to overcharge you like they tried to do to me. read more

I have extreme dental anxiety. I had my first root canal yesterday and so this was my first visit to this office. I was so nervous. The visit and procedure went very well! The Pinole office is easy to find, right off the freeway. The office is SPARKLING clean! The staff wear 2 masks, a N95 & another high quality medical mask. The CT scan was easy and painless and excellent resolution that wasn't able to be seen in the standard xrays. I also used the nitrous oxide which helped for my anxiety. Everything went smoothly and quickly. They went over everything step by step, even the paperwork & gave me after visit instructions on what to do and not do. Like a lot of other people, I have severe anxiety in general and it definitely comes out when I need dental work done. I needed a root canal done and they were able to see me during covid-19 within 24 hours of me calling. Starting with the front desk~ they were so nice! Then Antonio took me back, took x-rays, and he was just so nice the whole time. I believe I had Dr Tran (I was anxious and can't remember for sure now lol) and he was so great. I really hate getting novacain but he was very gentle and made sure I was okay the whole time. Both Dr Tran and Antonio assured me the process would be fine and made me feel more comfortable (and they even asked if I wanted a blanket, how nice!). As far as root canal experiences go this was the absolute best outcome I could have asked for. To be honest, I was a liiittle skeptical of all the 5 star reviews this place has but I can see why they have so many! Not to mention the whole place looks like a spa and it is very neat and clean. I was referred here for a root canal procedure I needed to have. I called to make an appointment and immediately took notice of how kind the receptionist was - already a good sign. When I arrived for my appointment, I was seated in the waiting room for no more than about 10 mins, then called to the back for xrays and an exam. Shortly after, Dr. R gave me a consult and told me he could do the procedure as soon as the same day. I was paying out of pocket which worried me a little, however their team helped me figure out the best way to go about it. I completed my procedure the following week and when I had questions/concerns regarding pain, they were eager to see me back in and took me seriously each time I called. Dr. Dan Tran at the Pinole office is wonderful and I highly recommend him.He is patient, kind, and gentle. He heard all of my horrible anxiety about the experience I was having (my pain went from bearable to a pounding beast overnight!) Unfortunately for me I've had to go twice for root canals. One old one that got infected and then a large filling that broke free. If you have to have someone stick needles in your mouth and drill into your teeth, this is the place to have it done. The staff is friendly and helpful and willing to answer any questions you might have. I can't say enough about Dr. Hamid. This guy is excellent. He explains what is needed, is friendly and professional and can also talk football! He also treats the staff with respect. I've overheard him talking to the staff and other patients and he seems like a genuinely caring person. Perhaps the best thing is... Pain Free Treatment. Dr Tran and the staff are nothing short of amazing. Please make sure you see a board Certified Endodontist. I have had some surgeries (unanticipated) and learned the value of due diligence. Dr Tran is kind, smart and extremely thorough and honest. While my issue could not resolve with a root canal he easily could have taken advantage of me but put my health first. I have been dealing with cervical spine issues and have to have corrective surgery. I wanted to have the root canal after putting off this procedure. Finally when I made the appointment he called and told me that I truly needed to see an oral surgeon. I have never had a fear of the dentist or dental professionals until I had a problem. Dr Tran did not want to see me on endless courses of antibiotics and he did the right thing. I was put on Clindamycin by another dentist and became very sick to my stomach. I am sure it's fine for most ; but Dr Tran knew my health issues and took the high road. If ever I need a root canal he will be on speed dial. THIS IS A REVIEW FOR DR. TRAN There are no words to express how thankful I am to Dr. Tran and his assistant for coming to my rescue. My previous Dentist assessed my symptoms, extreme tooth sensitivity to cold, gnawing dull pain headaches and recommended I get a crown and then she would refer me out for a root canal. For 3 weeks I waited, suffering experiencing the symptoms I listed above which only got worse. When I went back to my dentist to get the permanent crown put on, and after an hour and a half, of her trying unsuccessfully to get the area numb using two different kinds of Novocains, extreme pain from the cold water and air, drilling and pulling, I left my dentist office feeling defeated, in pain with a prescription for toothpaste for teeth sensitivity with instructions to come back again in a week to try again. Seriously? I shared all this with a friend, and she highly recommended the Endocare group because they helped her daughter find relief. Well, I made an appointment I went in for a consultation with the Endocare group in Pinole and met with Dr Tran to determine whether I needed a root canal. The consultation was the day before the 4th of July, a holiday weekend. Dr Tran made a way and if I was willing, would perform the root canal. Dr Tran and his assistant stayed late to perform the procedure because they didn't want me to suffer over the long holiday weekend. Are you kidding me, that's unheard of. He is truly a superb doctor and human being. He is a true expert and demonstrates this in how he cares for his patients. He has the most gentle hands too! My family got referred by a friend to come here for a root canal. I was going to call but since I was in the area I thought I'd just come in and ask my questions. The office is very clean and the front desk lady was very helpful. She even had this German lady explain some stuff to me and she literally made the whole process sound extremely easy. However, I don't know if it was the manager or something but this lady named Pina introduced herself to me and seemed very nice until she started complaining at the front desk lady and the German lady about taking too long or something? I mean uhhhh I'd like you to take your time if you're working on my teeth! She seemed very two faced and just wanted my business and treated her employees terrible and with disrespect.
