I chose this business because they have good reviews. Bit they do not answer my calls or return them.

Ok I hate to give bad reviews but I brought my mid length dachshund in for their so called…read morefurminator because he was shedding , and a FULL haircut. I told them what I wanted when I dropped him off- a full all over cut incl trim butt and paws, legs elbows and tummy like usual .. it was one of worst cuts ever and so uneven.. I literally cried , they didn't trim him evenly and barely took anything off , I paid 87.00 Dollars before I could see him and I went back in to tell them he needed more cut off his back of legs and stomach ears and even his tail was still dragging on the ground ..so she took him back quickly and she literally whacked all the feathers off his pretty tail and left his legs so uneven , it looks even worse now , I've had cuts before from my old groomer and it looked so much better , he came out silky and trimmed up real nice and very professionally done .. for $60.. not 87.00 without tip ! That is most expensive groom he has ever had , he wasn't even fully dry , I had to trim him myself when we got home to make him look even .. this is the second time they groomed my dog and it didn't look professional , as the last girl was new , she was supposed to be the senior groomer as that's who I asked for this time!! They don't know how to trim doxies properly I could have done a better job myself! I will Never come back here .. they are NOT professional groomers .. On top of that I didn't realized they didn't even trim his nails til I got home !!!! I don't like that they hold them up by his neck either as my other groomer put him in a small dog hammock while he literally falls asleep !! Don't go here to get a groom .. waste of money and the so called furminator is a joke !!

I'm giving this Petco location 2 stars solely because of the woman I spoke with on the phone prior…read moreto our appointment. I called ahead to ask whether Vetco Vaccination Clinic would honor services we had already purchased at a Vetco Total Care Hospital so we wouldn't be double-charged. Thankfully, they did honor it. The woman on the phone was incredibly patient, kind, and helpful - she is truly the only reason this location is getting any stars at all. Unfortunately, the actual appointment was a very different experience. My husband took our dog in, and he said the visit was unpleasant from start to finish. The nurse who administered our dog's vaccinations was rough and came across as aggressive and unkind. She slowly crept up on our dog, which felt intimidating rather than calming. After that, she made comments like "what's wrong with you," "chill," "relax," and "tantrum" when our dog was understandably uncomfortable. I may not be a professional, but creeping up on a dog doesn't seem like the best approach. She also attempted to weigh our dog and seemed confused, telling him to get on the scale even though she hadn't placed him fully on it in the first place. Overall, her demeanor felt mean and impatient, and it didn't seem like she enjoyed her job - or even liked dogs. At the end of the visit, my husband handed our dog's vaccination passport to another employee so the vaccination stickers could be added. That employee wasn't sure what to do with it or where the stickers should go. The nurse then snatched the passport out of his hands and added the stickers herself, which came off as rude and unprofessional. All in all, this was not a positive experience, and I would not recommend this Vetco location. We will not be returning for future services. Good luck to anyone who chooses to go here.

Shaggy Shack Pet Resort returned my severely arthritic, disabled dog to me smelling of pee, a…read moresticky underbelly from laying in her pee, raw spots on her elbows, an elbow with dried blood, inflammation and swelling of both her elbows so severe that it shook with each step my dog would take, and pee on her food container. I put my dog into boarding August 17-21, 2023 with Shaggy Shack; Thursday afternoon to Monday morning. My dog has a muscle dystrophy disorder that effects anywhere in her body that has collagen. At less than 2 years old, she has severe arthritis in her elbows. I let Shaggy Shack know of her disorder prior to leaving her with them. I even wrote a note and taped it to her food container. I spoke with 2 workers, 1 manager, and then finally the owner. None of the stories matched with the others. When I spoke with Tonya, the owner, I explained how I received my dog and that her inflammation could only be that severe if she was not given her medication. Tonya said "the girls could have missed some medications, we're not perfect." I asked for a refund, to which she said "we won't be administering a refund because that would be admitting we did something wrong." My dog was returned to me with dried blood and sticky from pee, how is that right? I have no answers I'm satisfied with, only multiple stories of what may or may not have happened to my disabled dog. At this point, I paid to have her be grossly neglected. Tonya provided a med sheet 4 days later to try to claim they gave my dog her medication, even though my hydrotherapist (who I had look over my dog for other injuries) agreed her condition could've only been that bad if she had not received her medication. Tonya shifted the blame to me, saying "You chose to bring her to a highly stimulated setting instead of staying home with your handicapped pup." I trusted Shaggy Shack to care for my dog as if she were your own, as the website claims the business would do. I will not make that error again and suggest others not to as well. Do better.

This place is awesome. We have only been able to board once and daycare once or twice. Its a bit of…read morea drive for us, especially when we have a location on base we can drop off. I would highly recommend though. I like our home spot, but his one has something very special about it. Bernard loves playing with dogs, but when its raining at our normal spot he ends up sitting inside with some outside time and not a lot of dog socialization... or at least that is my guess. When he comes home on rainy days he is not all that tired. In fact he seems like he just hung around all day instead of playing. The first time we took him to Shaggy Shack it was raining and I thought he was going to come home not tired at all. Oh man was I wrong. He was knocked out and it was in a way that leads me to believe not only does he get to play with dogs, but he has moments of thinky time or play time with humans. I cant say for sure, but I love how he comes back those days. Clearly wore out from a day of fun. I really like this place but unfortunately its a bit of a drive to do daycare daily especially when we have an on base option right next to my wife's work. I will say though they are definitely going to be our go to for boarding. The one major downside to our normal spot is there are no options for drop off pick up on Sundays. A lot of our trip or time where we need to board is Just saturday evening. This gives us the opportunity to board and pick up when we return and not have to board an extra night. In addition we had a last minute boarding need when I was too lazy to get boarding scheduled at our normal spot and it worked out perfectly. I highly recommend this place. Its not on base so anyone can use. The place is huge. Staff knowledgable and friendly and overall I have nothing but positives about here. I wish their location was closer, but thats not a negative, just a desire to make my life easier.
