Beware of Petco and their price gouging. Two baths cost over $101

We were charged for a long haired med dog when she is a med short hair. Then petco charges a extra $5.99 per dog above the set grooming fee to pay for the materials like shampoo . We were quoted $36 and was charged at pickup $44. No clipping just brush bath n nails seriously. Beware of Petco and their price gouging. Two baths cost over $101

Both eyes all this bad

Took my dog for a haircut and bath , picked him up and his eyes were both completely bloodshot. Took him to the vet the next day, they said he had to be either strangled or restrained in order for it to be that bad I would not recommend this place at all. I am so upset.

Petco's website. Nowhere do I see testing for water as a requirement for a refund on fish.

If I could put a 0 star I would Trinidi should not be in customer service . I purchased fish from there 2 days ago, everything went great from my initial perspective. I bought 2 Albino Plecos & 5 Guppies. When I got home I noticed one of my plecos was acting odd (wouldn't move much kept burying into the substrate) the next morning when I woke up it was dead. So I drove to the Lakewood PetCo (which I'll never go to again) only to be told when I got there that I can't return my dead fish (I had the fish in a bag with the receipt on me) because I don't have a water sample for them to test. I thought ok never heard that before but I want a refund so I will do it. So I drove 15 minutes home, 15 minutes back to petCo have them test my water. A worker tell me it's fine, only to try and then have me buy "beneficial bacteria". I declined because to me it felt like a money grab. Why would I need to buy something if my water test came back fine. I got my refund & I left. I woke up the next day to find 2 more dead fish. Instead of going to PetCo first I went to AQUARIUM PARADISE. They tested my water & told me everything was great. They also stated had I put beneficial bacteria in my tank like the lady at PetCo had recommended it would have killed everything in my tank & actually set my tank backwards resetting my tanks cycle. So now that I knew my water was fine I drive over to PetCo knowing they would want to test my water (their made up store policy). I have the fish in a ziplock & my receipt (any other store this is all that is required, even on PetCo's website) I also had the water sample on me. Here's where they lost a customer & hopefully more so no one else has to go through what I had to. I walk up to Trinidi & I tell her my issue I purchased 7 fish here the other day. One died & I already got a refund on 1 the night prior. Can I get a refund on the 2 other ones that have now died. She then stated as I assumed she would that she could not do that without a water sample. To that I said I have a water sample but you guys just did a test the night prior and gave me a refund on a fish in that same tank I don't see why you'd have to do another water test. She said it's just their store policy and I can't get a refund until I go to the aquatic section and have them test my water. So then I pulled up PetCo's Website, and went to to their return policies on fish. I tried showing her but she didn't care to look and said she thought maybe the water testing policy was on the back of the receipt... the customer service was horrible. I told her no it's not on the back of the receipt tried to let her look at it. Tried to show her my phone with their companies policies. She didn't care she just continued on with trying to force me out of line and to go get my water tested. So I asked for a manager, this made Trinidis face light up red. She told me no! How are you going to to tell a paying customer no. So again I stated I want a manager finally a manager comes. The manager I couldn't get her name, came up and I stated that I didn't feel the need for them to test my water as I just got it tested at aquarium paradise & I told them I wasn't trying to be rude but I trust aquarium paradise more than I trust PetCo employees. My water was fine also again nowhere on their companies website do I see that I need my water tested. She again said it's just this stores policy. But to give me my refund, I guess I was causing to much trouble at this point. Rather than try to help the customer they just tried to defend Dans stupid policy. It's made up. Don't buy fish there, if they die trying to get a refund is a made up process the manager created himself. You guys work at a CHAIN COMPANY you don't get to made & inforce made up rules. Save yourself time & money & go to aquarium paradise if your local. Or even go to petsmart they at least don't question fish returns they just say ok & get the refund going. As one should for a paying customer at a chain company.

Lauren and the grooming team at Lakewood Petco: I've never seen a more dedicated team at a box store. I can't imagine how many dogs they groom, yet they know these dogs by name and treat them like family while in their care. I know my dogs miss you guys, and we do as well.

i just moved from cali and was having a hard time finding and let alone trusting a groomer with my fur baby. My last resort was pet co and IM GLAD I MADE THIS DECISION ! they made my dog into a completely different one when he walked into the appointment. from the gate the groomers were super sweet and even during rhinos appt when he was throwing a fit about being washed the groomers were super patient with rhino. they made me feel relieved and i definitely plan on making this his permanent grooming place !

Atlas loves being clean and looking handsome. Unfortunately, he doesn't want to get his paws dirty now lol

We enrolled our 15-month-old Dogo Argentino in their 8-week training program after adopting him from the Humane Society. He had been struggling with anxiety, recall, tantrums, and self-regulation. After just four weeks, during our parent training session, we noticed a remarkable difference in his temperament. He was able to manage his anxiety around other dogs and outside distractions, follow commands consistently, and walk calmly on a leash beside us--no more pulling or wandering aimlessly. This program has completely transformed our relationship with our pup. He now trusts us more deeply because not only did he learn how to regulate himself, but we also learned how to help him do so. He stays in place on his mat without following us around or begging for food--it's like having a completely different dog! We're so glad we chose Amani K-9. We feel more confident and connected in our relationship with our dog because we better understand him, and he knows exactly what we expect of him.

The dog we walk now is well behaved and emotionally regulated (no more whining, barking, or pulling on the leash when he sees another dog!!). It was the best decision we made. Thank you Niquolette and Amani K9!

Amanda knew how to help Sophie develop confidence and she also watched her carefully for signs of fatigue and stress during class. Sophie thrived under Amanda's training. I have a small rescue dog whose issue was twofold. She needed socialization, especially when it comes to visitors at the door and barking (which can only come in time) and she developed a habit of being very vocal and aggressive towards other dogs on our walks. Anne's solution was to reward her with treats when she is being quiet and to have my dog and I retreat behind a door when she's barking, only to start again. This is not a good solution for the real world, because when my dog is focused on another dog, she is 100 percent not interested in the treats and I cannot retreat behind an object or something while walking in my neighborhood. I recently watched an episode of Dog Whisperer, and he had much different techniques. I also have just started scooping her up and pushing her nose down continuously until she stops yelping. This has really helped. I'm not hurting her, but she does not like it, so if Cesar's technique doesn't work, I will continue with that. I have arthritis in my hands, and during my third of fourth sessions, it was made much worse because of my dog pulling on her leash for an hour. When Anne texted me that I was late for my fourth session, I messaged her back, saying I couldn't handle another hour of my hand in pain and that I wasn't able to reach her so that's why I hadn't called to cancel. I told her that her technique was not working AT ALL, I felt it was a waste of my time, and I was going to try other options. It was at this point that I expected a refund, at least a partial refund, because that was $385 out the window. Silence. So this is why I am writing a Yelp review.
