It's a lovely place with live music and delicious food. A old gentleman plays jazz and several traditional piano music. he also sing with it ,and his voice make this restaurant a premium place. The steak and mussels tasted so well.

Absolutely incredible!! Please visit here if you're ever in Inverness!!! The food is amazing. The fish and chips where the best I've had, and I've had quite a lot. I'm picky about my tartar sauce and this one was so good. Staff was super nice! The decoration and lighting in this restaurant is phenomenal. It really sets the vibe and makes dining even better. Now for the best part - the cheesecake. I LOVE cheesecake and have had some pretty good cheesecakes before.... this one though was the best. I literally had to sit back and reflect because it was so good. 10/10 recommend coming here!! Don't forget to get the cheesecake! :)

We were only for a wine in the restaurant, the location is fine, wine by the glass were ok. We had good luck that this evening a few people did some live Musik and guests added some songs, that was great.

We were recommended Encore as a place to go for food, so my mum and I went for a late lunch. Absolutely recommend! First time I've ever had a complete stranger guarantee I'd like a drink and actually be right (thank you Bar Manager/Mixologist, nick?). The food was absolutely fabulous as well, my mom got the fried chicken burger and I got the spicy chicken pasta- definitely ate until I was stuffed and totally worth it! Cannot recommend enough. Great food, service and drinks

Encore Une Fois was a last minute dinner choice in downtown Inverness, somewhat late in the evening. Overall service was good. There were two waiters and the bartender covering the dining room. I tried two different ales that were on tap and both were good. For dinner I had a pan fried sea bass that was good, albeit not outstanding. It was a solid last minute choice, but I would certainly try out other venues before going back

This pub was recommended by our B&B, Strathness House, just around the corner. Outstanding service, delicious food, yummy drinks and good music. Affordable, casual... felt like a place I'd frequent if I lived there.

Smoked salmon and haddock fish cakes... delicious!

Really fantastic. We walked around Inverness, not seeing any restaurant for dinner that we wanted to try. Then we happened to walk past here. No menu posted on the street- we weren't sure if it was just a pub or served food, so just walked in. Great decision!! Everything is as delicious, great selection of beer taps and local Highland whisky. Lamb, Haggis and fish cakes later have us 3 happy tourists. Very highly recommend. Great atmosphere, helpful staff and quality local fresh ingredients.

    Haggis!

Wonderful tomato soup of the day! The tiny salad with the haggis was the best. We only ate the starters and that was perfect for us.

The bar and restaurant are open to residents and non residents alike and in fact the majority of the clientelle are guarenteed to be locals! The whole place has just been done up and re-opened as the front section is a listed building and boy is it looking good! Food is typical Beefeater style so lots of burgers, steaks, nachos etc. You won't leave here hungry however it isn't fine dining if that's what you're after. They offer daytime and evening value meals but this is only within certain hours and outwith these times the prices hike up! If you just want some pub grub to enjoy along with your pint then this is the place. The sharing combos are great snacks for a few of you to share and at £8.99 it isn't bad value as the plate comes fully loaded with everything from potato skins, chicken kebabs, garlic bread, breaded muchrooms and coleslaw - finger licking good!!! However this being said, it is Inverness we are talking about here. So, for them to be serving pints and spirits + mixers for £3.60 it is pretty steep! They shut the bar before midnight so you could always head into town from here. Nice outside area with tables and chairs to soak up the Scottish sunshine though and all in all a nice little place.

The World Cup Game was on so it was lively and fun. I will tell you, this was some of the best seasoned food we had the entire time we were in the UK (two weeks). Finally we didn't feel the need to add salt to something. The flavor was just spot on. My husband had the beer steak pie with puff pastry, I had the Cullen skink, my son had a pizza (I can't remember if it was on the kids' menu or not) and my daughter had a Caesar salad with chicken, which she eats a lot at home and had been craving. Both the skink and the stew were perfectly flavored! The fish in the stew was tender and so was the steak in the pie. If we ever go back to Inverness, we will be sure to be returning to Johnny Foxes. Oh! And our waiter was wonderful! I don't remember his name but a young blonde man with a mullet kind of haircut. Thank you to him!

We dropped by for an early dinner and got seated right away in a booth. The menu is broadly pub fare, with a focus on burgers and a couple of more upscale dishes (including an excellent fried camambert). We split the camambert (panko crusted and served with a fig and onion jam); my wife had a vegan Scotch broth + house made bread + tomato & pesto bruschetta, while I went with the highland burger: haggis on top of 6oz of dry aged Angus beef. The burger was exceptional, with a deep and pleasantly gamey flavour while the haggis added some richness. Paired with a pint of a local cask ale (Cromarty Brewing Happy Chappy pale), it was as good as dinner as we could've imagined on our first night in the Highlands.

Re: Delicious Sticky Toffee Pudding…read more To the Greek couple we met in Inverness, with great apologies, we suffered confusion of which delicious desserts we had at various restaurants around the city, inadvertently directing you towards a place that did not serve sticky toffee pudding. We should have pointed you towards MacGregor's as having the most delicious sticky toffee pudding, now verified after having several others that did not perfectly balance sweet with salt as that of the sticky toffee pudding at MacGregor's. If the pub is full, please find your way to the end of the bar and the small door to the left that takes you to the cosy table service room where Jess and other wait staff, including little Nala, will take the best care of you. We also highly recommend the steak & ale pie and fish & chips, should you require something a bit more than the sticky toffee pudding. Again, apologies, and we are certain you will have a fantastic experience at MacGregor's!
