Nothing but great things to say about EncoreDermatology and Krisitn Abruzzi, MPAS, PA-C. My experience is that she not only is extremely knowledgeable and walks you through options and procedures, but is also kind and understanding with an excellent bedside manner. We had a Physician Assistant Student observing during this visit. I was absolutely OK with that and had another wonderful consultation and treatment. Great staff and team here! As I am hitting my mid 40's I had some dark spots developing that I wanted to get checked out. I found out they are some small harmless seborrheic keratoses that were developing and not any type of skin cancer. I wanted to see what my options were for treatment so my primary doctor recommended EncoreDermatology. First visit and treatment was in 2021, and had scheduled this follow-up a year later for an additional procedure. EncoreDermatology is located off W. Henderson Road and Gettysburg Road. For driving landmarks, Gettysburg Road is located just past the Northwest Shopping Center and before the WestBanco building on Henderson. EncoreDermatology has it sown parking lot for the building with plenty of parking. Currently, I use EncoreDermatology for these annual services, but I could not imagine choosing any other provider for the procedure. I would also consider the location for additional procedures as well based on my two experiences here. read more

My wife, my adult daughter and I all three have gone to Gwyn for several years - myself for at least 10 years. She has surgically removed two carcinomas from both the front and back of my neck. The "scars" are invisible... I am fair skinned, and seem to have many pre-cancerous patches which appear. I jokingly refer to Dr. Londeree as the "queen of pain" because I always need these spots frozen. BUT... the consequences of NOT having them removed versus a little discomfort? You know the answer! Dr. Londeree is quick, but efficient in her exam. I never have to wait on my appointment - she's excellent at keeping things moving. Typically I'm in and out in less than a half hour! How many doctors can claim that today?? Oh... and I drive over 45 miles to her office, because the dermatologists near my home are pathetic... I have actually walked out of one after sitting in their waiting room for almost 90 minutes! I won't patronize any doctor who doesn't respect that my time is just as valuable as theirs. read more

Generally have no complaints here during prior years. However, most doctors and medical locations are minimally having the doctors wear masks during this pandemic. Cases are rising locally again and it's a close up exam. I had to remove mine for her to examine my face, obviously. Nobody ever asked if I preferred they wear one, which was surprising and disappointing. I'd recommend asking in advance whether the doctor would wear one as a courtesy. read more

I go there for skin checks, which seem fine. Thorough enough and a fair price. What really disappointed me so much at my recent appointment is that they are no longer masking at all. None of their staff members had a mask on. The CDC guidelines are clear in that masks are needed in healthcare settings. The reason for this is obvious. Many immunocompromised patients may still be at risk for Covid even if they are vaccinated. If an immune-compromised patient himself is masked, he is still at high risk for catching Covid from an unmasked individual. And in a dermatologist's office, he may need to remove his mask for the exam, making him even more vulnerable. And the dermatologist often has to be very close to her patients when she examines them. I was extremely uncomfortable having an unmasked individual so close to me. Many dermatologic conditions are treated with immunosuppressant mediations. Certainly, they have many high risk patients in their office. Even if the doctor and her staff are all vaccinated, they may still be transmitting the virus. We are seeing more and more breakthrough cases everyday as the highly contagious Delta virus spreads. I am just so disappointed that a physician would go against CDC guidelines and put her patients at such risk. read more

I had some dry skin issues this summer so I scheduled an appointment at Encore Dermatology. Dr. Londeree was unavailable until the next week but they were able to get me in with PA Kristin on the same day. Front desk staff was nice and professional. I didn't have to wait very long after checking in and filling out paperwork. The nurse asked me a few questions and shortly after, Kristin came in. She was super friendly (and pretty with great skin)! She addressed all of my concerns and answered all of my questions. She moved quickly but that's a positive for me because she was still attentive and thorough. My favorite part was my goody bag! It had my prescriptions, coupons, information about my dry skin, and free samples. Goody bag may be the wrong word but I get easily excited about things :P and I appreciate money saving items. Professional staff, quick but attentive service, and free samples/coupons - overall a positive experience. read more

Encore Dermatology and Dr. Gwynn Londeree have been working with me beginning in 2016. The office is beautiful and very convenient to my home. Scheduling is easy given I can get late afternoon appointments and bug out of the office for treatment. I am super fair skinned and have been dealing with pre-cancerous skin spots all over my body for years now. They usually freeze them off or give me a topical cream to apply over several weeks that is supposed to act like "topical chemo". The freezing is helpful but painful and the spots always come back. The topical creams don't really help because the spots are mostly on my hands and its socially unacceptable to go weeks without washing your hands. Long story short, I went to Dr. Londeree years ago and thought, after moving back to the area it made sense to go back. I was wrong. She froze several spots off my hands and charged me about 50% more than other dermatologists in the area have. Then, after running through a list of topical creams that I HAD tried over they years she randomly picked one and wrote me a prescription. She vaguely mentioned that she might have a coupon for it--she did not. After calling in the Rx, I get a call from my pharmacist saying that they wouldn't order the medicine until they know that I will pay for it. How much? $1000 for one tiny tube!!! Seriously?! At least tell me that this is an expensive option before writing the script. This is irresponsible and rude. She seemed to have no concern that I would have to pay that out of pocket for yet another treatment that had no record of success. I will be looking for a new dermatologist. read more

I had good luck here. My old dermatologist was very nice, but didn't know much about current treatment methods for psoriasis. After he said that he couldn't do anything more to help me, I found these guys (because they take OSU student insurance). They have a nice facility, complete with UVB light box and lasers for various treatments. The two doctors, however, are very busy. I don't have any complaints about them, but if you're the kind of person who wants to sit and talk to your doctor for a while, you might be disappointed by how little "face time" you get with the doctors. That being said, my skin has been clear since a couple of months after I started as a patient here. read more

I had at least 10 appointments here for my acne I tried a bunch of different treatments and spent a ton of money and time and my acne never changed. It was infuriating and they didn't try/care. There is nothing personal about how they treat your acne. I had better luck answering a few questions at ulta. Seriously don't waste your time and money here. read more

Second time see Dr Londeree....the first being approx 4 years ago. I remember thinking she didn't check me over like my former Dr did (who had moved to another state) and I've had pre cancerous cells removed. So thinking I might have been just being picky I go back in. I wish I hadn't gone back to her. 4 years later nothing changed I feel like she didn't check me over well at all. Working in the medical field. I have knowledge and insight. I have some adult acne and rosacea. She addressed the acne when I asked about the Rosacea she dismissed it and said let's deal w the acne. Well I'd understand if they were in the same area but the acne is on my jawline and the Rosacea is on my nose and starting a little bit on my cheeks. As I sit here and write this I get even more upset and mad because the possibility of skin cancer is nothing to brush off. In the end the only thing I can say is she does a poor job of looking over your Entire body and addressing issues. I am not a needy patient. I don't need a lot of explanation or attention. I'm Truly disappointed. Will not be back.. read more

Just saw Dr Londeree for the first time. I thought she was very thorough. I have family history of skin cancer so got the full check. She did check my scalp, which I believe another reviewer indicated she hadn't. She looked at all my spots of concern and gave me information for further study. She also answered all my vanity questions. I was very pleased and would definitely recommend her. When I finally got health insurance again, I'll admit, I was a little excited. And I had a lot of sick time saved up at work, so I decided to use it. I got a little appointment happy. I made appointments with doctors and dentists and took full advantage of my benefits. I've never been to a dermatologist in my life, and I haven't really needed one. I've been lucky to not have any skin conditions or acne. But since I was going crazy with the appointments, Why not? I checked with my insurance and found that this place was covered by my insurance. I called the office and inquired about making an appointment. They were able to fit me in about three weeks from the day I called, which was fine since I wasn't in any big hurry. They asked if I was a new patient, and when I told them that I was, they took my address and informed me that they would be sending me some paperwork to fill out before my appointment. I was instructed to bring the paperwork with me on the day of my appointment. So why did I decide to see a dermatologist? Well, I spend a lot of time in the sun and I'm a redhead and I have freckles. I know I'm young, but I figured it might be a good idea to have a professional check for skin cancer, or early signs of it anyway, just in case. We natural redheads are at a much higher risk than anyone else, so I figured it might be a good idea. Plus at the time I had a few bumps on my arm that I didn't know what it was. So my paperwork came in the mail and I filled it out and the day came where I had my appointment. Mid-Ohio Dermatology is just off Henderson Rd. west of 315, but it's easy enough to find. The building isn't shared with any other businesses that I noticed. When I went in I was surprised to find it kind of busy and cramped in there. Nurses, it seemed like, were running all over the place. I went to the front desk and gave them my paperwork. They took my insurance card and had me sign in. Then I had to sit in the waiting area. I really didn't have to wait too long. Only about 10 minutes or so, which was fast considering they seemed so busy. I was led by a nice female nurse down a small hallway with examination rooms lining the hall. She led me into one and asked me about the reason for my visit. I told her and she seemed a little confused - like I didn't have a good reason to be there. As she was leaving, she told me to change into the gown that was sitting on a chair in the corner. *sigh* I hate those things. I got undressed and sported the dreadful gown. I went ahead and sat on the examination table so my butt wasn't exposed, and after about 10 more minutes or so, the doctor came in, followed by the nurse that had assisted me earlier. I forgot to mention that I was seeing Dr. Londeree, who turned out to be a very sweet and pretty lady. She got right to the point - asking me about the reason for my visit. I told her I wanted a once-over for anything unusual and she proceeded to check me all over the place. She did it all very quickly, and said that everything seemed quite normal. She told me that if nothing was bleeding or looked unusual, I should be fine. She then gave me a pamphlet about skin cancer and told me that my skin tone was naturally a little darker, so I probably wasn't at the highest risk. Then she told me that it was great that I was getting it checked out just in case since early detection is key. She applauded my attention to my health. So that made me feel a little better about my visit. As for the bumps on my arm, she took one quick look and diagnosed them as dry skin. I told her that they itched and I didn't know where they came from and they were only on one spot on my arm, but she stuck to her diagnosis. She gave me a sheet about caring for dry skin and told me to use lotion daily. Simple enough. Then she said goodbye, she and her nurse left, and I could get dressed and go. It was so quick! But it seemed like Dr. Londeree was very rushed. When I asked her questions, she listened and answered, but it was also like she was in a hurry to be somewhere else. She wasn't even in the room for 5 minutes. I sort of wished I had some time to ask a few more questions, but I felt like I would have been keeping her or something. And it also seemed like she just wanted me to read the material she gave me instead of seeking answers from her. So that was it for my visit. I went home and went crazy with the lotion on my arms, and sure enough the bumps went away several days later. And it was also nice to get some peace of mind about the health of my skin. So I'm glad that I went, but I also wonder how thorough her examination was. I feel like she could have easily missed something, but then again, she obviously knows what she's doing. It just all happened so quickly and I didn't feel like I got a good chance to speak with her like I wanted. Yet she was very nice and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone needing a dermatologist, but hopefully I don't have to go back to one again! read more

I came in today to talk about microdermabrasion and left with stitches in my back! I hadn't been to a dermatologist since before I moved to C'bus a few years ago and I knew I needed a skin check due to a family history of skin cancer (and rampant cancer in general). I chose this office in particular because they also have an on site spa. They had great yelp! reviews and I thought I might be able to add something helpful to someone else looking for a new derm. The main reason I came in today was for a consultation about microderm or a peel and decided to go ahead and do a mole check since I hadn't had one in years. I saw the PA, Kristin (She exceeded the description of her stellar complexion by other yelpers. It. Is. Perfect.). She had a student with her and they were super friendly and while she did the check, she talked to me about the cosmetic procedures I came in about. The level of service was above and beyond what I expected. Everyone else mentioned how rushed they felt. I didn't get that at all. The whole visit happened very fast but instead of it feeling rushed, it felt very efficient. After she answered all my questions she told me I had a mole she wanted to biopsy. Bim, bam, boom, it was in a jar. I barely felt a thing. She also let me know which services she could do would be covered by insurance and which wouldn't and what they'd cost. I couldn't be happier with the service I got from every single person I encountered. Even the front desk staff was fast and friendly. Listen, if they can make an almost 39 yr old woman feel perfectly comfortable in her underwear talking about her aging skin in front of 3 strangers, and offer a full skin cancer screening and biopsy at the same time, just think what they can do for you! read more

Terrible practice. Nurses are incompetent and messed up my paperwork, always. Never got my name right on any papers. The nurses seem like they have no experience at all. Dr. Londeree dosen't care about patients whatsoever. All she wants is money from expensive medicine. The people here don't care about trying to help you, all they will do is prescribe medicine, that may or may not help you. If you are looking for a dermatologist, look somewhere else. read more

She is down to earth, listens, and doesn't make me feel like a crazy person when I call every four weeks with a new mole I don't like. I have Medicare which is accepted there, but they like to tell you that you have Medicaid instead. Medicare typically sends you a beneficiary card every month, and the policy number is always the same. They said they couldn't look it up with the policy number and kept saying I had Medicaid, when the paper I brought in clearly said medicare. I know what insurance I have, they should been able to see me today. read more

I have been going to Encore Dermatology Inc for several years. I am a licensed esthetician and know what to look for in a dermatologist. Dr. Londeree is well educated, experienced, observant and a wonderful listener. She always knows what it best for my skin. My previous derm had me on a rx that was not working; my skin was out of control, but Dr. Londeree knew exactly what to do. She changed my rx to something completely different, and my acne cleared up immediately. When the outer rims of my eyes became inflamed one day, Dr. Londeree had the solution. She shared w me an inexpensive over the counter remedy that solved my problem in no time. Dr. Londeree is also very skilled when it comes to cosmetic procedures. She administers my Botox, and the results look flawless and completely natural. I've never had any complications, and my skin has never looked better!! read more

I saw Dr Londeree in 08 for acne treatment. Id tried a variety of antibiotics before and decided its time to try something else. the office itself was very clinical with uncomfortable seating in the waiting room. The staff seemed fine, I think I waited maybe 20minutes in the treatment room. I only go tot talk to Dr Londeree for about 4 minutes though... a minute of chitchat and then a few minutes about my previous treatments and her recommendations (a different antibiotic), with the possibility of Accutane if I really needed it later. Ok thats fine, pretty standard treatment. I was a little annoyed with the fact that she didnt even look at the acne I had complained about to see the severity, just a quick glance down my shirt front, even though my big complaint was the back. Oh well, im sure she has seen a million acne cases before and if mine was unique it would have been obvious. I dont doubt her clinical skills, but the personal skills left some to be desired. All in all professional just not very comforting. Id rather see a doctor for longer, but in a pinch this would do. read more

Today is my first visit with Dr. Kristin Young for my hair issue and she is phenomenal, she is down to earth. she listens and she is very professional, i feel that i am so lucky that visiting the right doctor and she gave me coupon and samples. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! I went for a skin check and for thirteen weeks of psoriasis treatment that was a waste of money and time. First of all, during my skin check the PA glanced at my skin for all of 30 seconds and didn't even bother looking on my scalp (where I previously had an abnormal lesion removed). The skin check was $200 and she seemed rushed and unconcerned with my health/skin. Then I began xtrac laser therapy for psoriasis (which I have successfully received at another office). The medical assistants are the ones who performed the treatment and I was appalled at their lack of knowledge of the machine and my condition. Each visit I had to tell them where we do the treatment and in what order. Why is this not in my chart?!? I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because they are one of the only offices in my insurance network with this laser and it had been so successful in the past. Not the case this time. Also each treatment was a new technician which led to zero continuity of care. It was as if they would randomly choose spots on my scalp to laser and each time was different...therefore my psoriasis never got under control. I paid over 500 for my treatment and got nowhere. This was so incredibly disappointing. I had talked to the office manager about my concerns early on and she said she would address my concerns with the techs to be sure they were on the same page and knew how to treat psoriasis with the laser. However the next appointment the tech decided she was going to take up her issues with me and tried to argue with me about my treatment. I felt so uncomfortable each visit. They treated me as if they were annoyed I was there for my treatment. In the end, the techs should NOT be treating conditions they do not understand and cannot see. I'm so incredibly disappointed that I stuck out the treatment and had to pay that bill. This office is only concerned with production. You will be just a number and not a cared for patient. read more

My PA Kristin is great - she's young, easy to talk to, has awesome eye lashes (they look like Latisse), and of course skin that's about as flawless as it gets (lucky her!). Forget waiting months to see the "actual" doctor, PA's have just the same amount of knowledge, education, and expertise and can diagnose and treat whatever problem you may have. You can easily get in within days, even same day. When you're in the patient room, it's the PA plus an assistant on a laptop - presumably recording what is being discussed for records purposes. My skin problem that I went in for 3 months ago has vastly improved. I also had a mole removed to be biopsied which turned out to be benign, thankfully. The procedure was painless and very quick. Still have a less than flattering scar but that's life! They also have OTC type samples (mini face washes, lotions) at the front desk you may take at your leisure. I regret not grabbing a mini Cetaphil (for travel purposes) but next time they had mini Aveeno lotions so I made sure to snag one. I also was given samples of what I was prescribed and coupons as well (however, they have yet to be useful because my RX insurance sucks. I also recently learned RX are WAY cheaper at CVS than Giant Eagle, so if whatever you get prescribed is out of your price range, try CVS. Wish I knew this before I dropped $200 on a topical lotion - at least it does do its job). read more

I have been seeing Dr. Londeree for several years to treat skin cancer and she has been fantastic. Dr. Londeree is very professional and gets the job done. I have recently visited Kristin Young for laser hair removal and she turns something that is very embarrassing into a professional environment. As a male, one would expect to be nervous with a female performing the techniques she does but I feel completely comfortable with her. Even after very sensitive areas that she is working on. Bottom line is that I would highly recommend Encore Dermatology for anyone. read more

After 3 sessions with a doctor in Westerville to remove small red moles with a laser, I decided to try Encore because of it's convenient location. When I called I mentioned I'd like some brown spots looked at and possibly removed also (already had been told it was two different procedures, different prices). When I arrived I was greeted right away, then told I was there to remove brown spots. I said no, the red bumps/spots this time, just asking about the brown. Taken to the procedure room. Woman came in and repeated that I was there for brown spot removal. Again, no, red. Just asking about brown. This woman seemed a bit put out, said they were two different procedures but she'd tell the doctor. Fine, not my mistake. Doctor comes in, looks over the spots I'd like removed. I lean back and close eyes to begin procedure. It's a set price for 5 minutes and she's moving quickly. Thinking how much worse it feels than the other doctor, finally open eyes and realize she's injecting me with something then using the laser. Told it's a numbing agent so the laser won't hurt. Completely upset because I'm leaving in two days on vacation and have swelling and bruises everywhere. Pay and leave the office, but want to know just what the heck happened. Go back, meet with Doctor. Explain that I've never had injections, the other doctor (3 sessions over two years, probably 50 little moles removed) just used the laser and they were gone. According to her the numbing is for the patient's comfort plus if she only used the laser the red might disappear but the bumps would still be there. And the bruising and scabbing would be gone in a couple of days. It's been 24 hours, every treatment site is bruised and it looks like I have chicken pox. Plus there's one nasty bruise on my arm that's over an inch in diameter. There's so much damage I can't tell if the red spot removal was even effective and probably won't be able to tell for several more days. I don't care how convenient the location is, I will never go back. It's worth it to drive up to Westerville to a doctor who knows what he's doing, and has the correct equipment for the procedure. read more
