No rhyme or reason to what they accept or reject, and owner is extremely snooty when going through your items, rejecting things for imagined imperfections. She also 100% treats people differently based on their appearance - if I come in after work and am dressed up, she is more likely to take my items. If I come in clean and stylish workout clothes instead, my items get rejected. Definitely preferences things like lilly pulitzer and tory burch so if that's your style, maybe you'll be happy. I personally don't appreciate being made to feel as if i've stolen items off the back of a truck and talked down to.

So many consignment stores are wildly overpriced, but this one hits the perfect sweet spot between quality and affordability. It's also never overcrowded with merchandise, which makes shopping actually enjoyable so no digging through overstuffed racks or wasting hours trying to find one good item. The manager does an amazing job keeping inventory fresh, too. I stop in about once a week and always find something new. My most recent finds were a madewell beanie and north face parka. My style leans trendy rather than purely name-brand, but i love when I score Frame jeans for around $50, Veronica Beard dresses for about the same, or a like-new Lululemon Scuba hoodie for around $40. At most other consignment shops, those pieces would easily be well over $100. As a consigner, I really appreciate how fair and knowledgeable they are. At the end of the day, we only get paid when items actually sell--and they truly know what sells. If they pass on something, I don't take it personally. I'd rather donate it than have it sit. Using the Frame jeans example, if they sell for $50, I make $25. Could I maybe sell for more on eBay? Sure, but that hassle isn't for me, and the convenience here is absolutely worth it. One important note for new consigners: please review the website before bringing items in. It clearly explains what they accept and how to prepare items, and the process is insanely efficient as I'm usually in and out in under 10 minutes. There's even a helpful video that walks you through everything. It's frustrating (and honestly awkward) when people come in unprepared it slows things down for everyone. I love this shop, and I truly think you will, too! Whether you're looking to shop, consign, or both, this is hands-down one of the best consignment stores in the Arlington area.

I pulled it up and she proceeded to say "oh sorry I've been gone for two weeks"... again terrible service to not have employees in the know. And would not honor the email THEY sent out. I also planned to purchase other things as well but I was so turned off by this. They lost a purchase and a customer- will not be purchasing from here again as good customer service would be to honor the email mistake they had seem to make. Plus the dress is still more expensive than other places - give business to those that value customers and are willing to own up to their mistakes!

The owner listed it at $2,300 with a 55% payout and claimed it would sell within weeks. Instead, I spent six months chasing updates through texts, calls, emails, and website tickets. By summer, they stopped responding entirely. When I visited on September 2, they refused to answer a basic question without an appointment and made me wait until September 11. At that appointment, the owner repeatedly disparaged my bag as outdated, then told me it had sold for $1,875. She initially tried to pay me only 50%. Only after I produced the contract did she apologize and acknowledge the agreed 55%. Even then, my final payment was less than 55% because they deducted an undisclosed "processing fee" of several dozen dollars--something never mentioned throughout the entire process. Six months of silence, condescension, attempted underpayment, and a surprise fee. I'll take my other luxury bags to New York. Avoid this store.

(Not Julia-Roberts-in-Pretty-Woman-level-wrong, but wrong nonetheless). Dear staff, I don't really care why you were both complaining about the myriad poorly behaved children you have encountered lately, or the poor parenting choices leading to said poorly behaved children. The only thing I could purchase really was the jewelries, accessories, and housewares. They have a lot of brand lines and items that are picked out uniquely to everyone's (ok, at least my) liking.\ My sister ended up getting a gorgeous bracelet! I did want to point out an observation during the last 2-3 times I visited - There is a member of the staff here who is very clearly working harder than others. So much so, I noticed how she was moving around the store, folding items, answering questions and moving quickly while others were very obviously just hanging out and chatting. There's clearly an equity situation here and I'm hopeful something is done about it. For description purposes - She's a slender woman of color and has continuously gone above and beyond to help customers while the others are visibly lazy and unmotivated.
