Don't be fooled by this 5 star review. Book reservation for my husband and myself incorrectly (asked for 90min but booked for 60min) 2. Had to call back to confirm correct length of time for massage (upon reading confirmation text). 3. Got a call at 9pm (woke baby up) to tell me that they couldn't confirm a 90 minutes reservation for my husband because the masseuse may or may not be able to do a 90 minute massage. (Turns out the masseuse had an injury and they weren't sure if she could do a 90minute) 4. Husband's masseuse (the one with the injury) didn't ask him how the pressure was even ONCE and barely applied any pressure. If your staff is injured, then they really shouldn't be performing massages. We were on vacation and this was supposed to be our special treat. It turns out it was the catalyst for ruining on morning and day. Also, FYI. the location is SUPER hidden (which staff should really let people know, especially when they say they're from out of town). Miss the street and it will take you another 5-10 minutes to get back around.

However, with my highly stressful, sit-down job/life, a massage was becoming a dire necessity. Her first ministrations down my spine caused near-instant change in my tension. I could feel relief flooding through my body. I kept waiting for chatter (which I definitely didn't want) and/or comments about all the knots in my back and everywhere else she felt them (sorry, Kelsey!), but she worked methodically and purposefully. Before I knew it, the 90 minute session was over! Thank you so much for a thoroughly enjoyable massage!!!

I am motivated to do an update! I'm STILL going to this place nearly four years later, and I think…read morethat's worth writing a new review for. I have had several massage therapists help me since I first started coming here, and every single one has been fantastic. My main reason for changing is that my availability does not always match what each therapist has for their schedule. My Wellness membership has been well worth the monthly price. I don't always make it in, but the credits roll over and I can use them on elevations or time extensions instead. The parking garage has changed since, you drive in, download the app (if you don't have it already) and then you can drive out. There's no scanning or paying at the gate, this place has a QR code that you can scan and that will validate your parking, and I love that. You can also give the front desk your license plate number and they'll handle it for you. It's good for about two hours which is great for when I get a 90 minute massage. You'll have time to peruse some of the rest of the area and maybe snag yourself a snack.

He is professional and consistently provides a thorough deep tissue massage, and I always leave our sessions being able to feel both of my hands (I have an old spinal injury). I deducted a star because of the high turnover. I am very picky on who works on my spine and am tired of having first dates with new therapists. Please treat your aestheticians and therapists better!!

It's quiet, clean, professional, and very comfortable. I felt at ease immediately as she listened to my medical history with a warm smile. The massage itself was amazing. She was attentive to the areas we had discussed while giving my whole body her full attention and focus. I highly recommend Elizabeth for your next massage!

Need a great masseur in Austin???…read more Well I have to say I have found one of the best! I had actually been turned off to massage over the last few years and Elizabeth Meador a licensed Massage Therapist here in Austin has changed all that for me. I have frequent pain in my neck and back and let's face it for those of us who live on a computer 8-10 hours a day 6 days a week who doesn't experience some type of chronic neck or back pain from being hunched over a monitor all day? So suffice it to say I really am so impressed when her technique, soothing personality, and tranquil environment... so much so, that I have already set my next appointment for the beginning of December! She is truly gifted... Elizabeth does integrative massage, deep tissue massage, prenatal / post-partum massage, and craniosacral therapy which is (& I am totally stealing this verbiage from her website) an amazing tool for helping the body release stuck energy in a very non-invasive way. Using cues from the cranio-sacral rhythm (the flow of cerebro-spinal fluid from the brain through the spinal cord), we can tap into areas of restriction. A session will include 10-steps for helping the body release the restrictions in the craniosacral system, namely the skull, spinal cord and meninges of the brain and spinal cord. By releasing these areas, we can experience release of deeply held tension, pain and anxiety. Email her to setup an appointment: elizabeth@meadormassage.com

If you like deep tissue massages with hot stones (and I mean deep), you're going to love this…read moreplace. I asked for a *gentle* 1-hour Swedish massage with hot stones, but due to the language barrier, I was assigned to a male therapist who gave me what I can only describe as a full-throttle deep tissue session. Right now, At 7:33 AM the next morning, I'm still recovering. I can't even sit back on the couch. Ouch. To be fair: the massage itself was very good... if that's the intensity you're looking for. But I didn't request deep tissue, and despite trying to clarify mid-massage, the language disconnect made it difficult to adjust. Most of the time was spent on my back and lower waist, and I'll be blunt...there's a level of close contact here that not everyone will be comfortable with. In the process of maneuvering around the table and working deeply, there were moments of full-body proximity that included unintentional contact with the masseuse's more... PERSONAL areas. It wasn't lewd or inappropriate, just a side effect of close-quarters bodywork. But if you're squeamish about that kind of thing, this may not be your spot. BUT NOW...let me sing the praises of the hot stones. Truly the highlight. They're included with the massage and offer soothing, deep heat without burning. After the intense pressure of the deep tissue work I didn't ask for, the stones were a welcomed slice of heaven. I'd come back just for those alone. I could do this part every single day. In short: this place delivers a strong, effective massage...but be clear and very specific about what you want, and understand that the language barrier may require a bit of patience. Also, prepare for full-body immersion ***in every sense***. Body parts may touch but they are simply doing their job. Enjoy.
