I don't usually get massages but after visiting Elizabeth today I think I'm hooked! She works out of a cute little one room building, maybe a converted garage. It's quiet, clean, professional, and very comfortable. I felt at ease immediately as she listened to my medical history with a warm smile. The massage itself was amazing. She was attentive to the areas we had discussed while giving my whole body her full attention and focus. I highly recommend Elizabeth for your next massage! read more

Need a great masseur in Austin??? Well I have to say I have found one of the best! I had actually been turned off to massage over the last few years and Elizabeth Meador a licensed Massage Therapist here in Austin has changed all that for me. I have frequent pain in my neck and back and let's face it for those of us who live on a computer 8-10 hours a day 6 days a week who doesn't experience some type of chronic neck or back pain from being hunched over a monitor all day? So suffice it to say I really am so impressed when her technique, soothing personality, and tranquil environment... so much so, that I have already set my next appointment for the beginning of December! She is truly gifted... Elizabeth does integrative massage, deep tissue massage, prenatal / post-partum massage, and craniosacral therapy which is (& I am totally stealing this verbiage from her website) an amazing tool for helping the body release stuck energy in a very non-invasive way. Using cues from the cranio-sacral rhythm (the flow of cerebro-spinal fluid from the brain through the spinal cord), we can tap into areas of restriction. A session will include 10-steps for helping the body release the restrictions in the craniosacral system, namely the skull, spinal cord and meninges of the brain and spinal cord. By releasing these areas, we can experience release of deeply held tension, pain and anxiety. Email her to setup an appointment: elizabeth@meadormassage.com read more

Not to be too dramatic, but Elizabeth Meador is possibly one of the best massage therapists in the history of the world. I have been to all of the top spas here in the Austin area as well as several on the West Coast and ever since I first booked an appointment with Elizabeth, I haven't looked back. Elizabeth is amazingly intuitive, intelligent, capable and caring. I am so grateful that she is an ongoing partner in my physical (and mental! ) health program. read more

Not really sure I want to share her, but I guess I will. Every time I come here I walk out a new woman. She really listens to what you want worked on, and really feels what your body needs. I have been more than once and each experience gets better. Elizabeth knows the body and can fix just about everything. She knows her limitations, and can give great refeals to something outside her scope of practice. She does practice out side of her home, but it is very clean, and you fell ssafe here. Last time I went I fell asleep. I have a hard tie finding my zen place, and for me to fall asleep is a miricale in itself. Thank you Elizabeth. read more

I love her! Elizabeth is for real the BEST. Super compassionate and perceptive, she somehow finds all my sorest spots and makes them better. Often she will find areas of tension I wasn't even aware of and release them, too. I've been seeing her regularly for a few months during my last trimester (which is almost over, thank gawd) for prenatal massage. She's got a very comfortable setup of bolsters and supports and a body pillow so I can lay on my right and left sides for massage. Dim lights and relaxing music and sometimes some aromatherapy oils all make for an incredibly relaxing hour that leaves me feeling ten times better. Elizabeth told me one of her favorite techniques to practice is craniosacral massage and after my last appointment, I can see why. About a month prior, I'd hit my head on a cabinet corner and it was still very tender in that area. No swelling, just hurty. I mentioned it to her and she spent just about 5-10 minutes gently manipulating my skull bones with the lightest touch of her fingertips. The next day, the tenderness was completely gone. Seriously. Poof. Like magic. I would recommend Meador Massage to anyone for anything! read more

I very selfishly want to give Elizabeth fewer than five stars but only because I know if the word gets out about how amazing she is it will be even tougher to get an appointment! However, I would be lying in the worst way if I gave her anything less than all the stars. She fully deserves every single last one of them. Elizabeth really knows her stuff. She's patient, listens to the body and works out the really nasty knots you know about as well as the ones you didn't even realize were there. Plus she's just a great person- laid back, cool and fun to be around. Sessions with her are easily the highlight of my week/month. I leave her place completely recharged and ready to conquer life. Without this lady in my life, I would be in pain all the time. read more

Elizabeth is a phenomenal massage therapist. I started seeing her a month or so postpartum and she was a major part of me being able to feel like a human being again. A great communicator, intelligent, humorous - I'd highly recommend her to anyone, but especially to any women with pre- or post-pregnancy discomfort. read more

Elizabeth, you rub me the right way! Though I've only visited once (and have been kicking myself for not going back sooner than now), I just hafta give the highest review possible! Miss Meador was the only massage therapist I'd heard of before or since that worked on pregnant ladies. Um, when do you need a massage most? You guessed it! When you're not allowed wine! This lil lady fixed me up somethin' special! Do your body a favor and go directly to this gal! read more

I've been going to Elizabeth for about 7 years, and I've never gotten the same massage twice. Each visit is amazing!! It's like she can see the muscles underneath and knows exactly what needs to be fixed. She has great energy and is truly a healer. read more

Words can't express my admiration for this gentle, intuitive and gifted lady. I'm 100% certain that you'll find no one better in her field!!! Not none wasted movement of her hands.... Every second of my massage was towards healing and rejuvenation. Wish I could afford the indulgence more.... I'm certain it would be life changing. Can't wait to go back. read more

One of the best (if not THE best) massages I have ever had, and I have gotten massages all over the US as well as in other countries. Elizabeth does a great job of listening to her clients to tailor her treatment to your specific needs. She seems to have vast knowledge of different techniques to treat many different issues. Clean, cozy, relaxing environment with comfortable table with optional heat. She uses an organic, hypoallergenic lotion and has various different massage oils and aromatherapy oils for those of us with sensitive skin or allergies, which she can mix and match to find the one best for your needs. No extra charge for the aromatherapy like most places! You can also bring your own if you have something in particular you neeed or want. read more

I have been getting massages for the past 25 years from a variety of practitioners around the world. Elizabeth is, hands down, THE BEST I've had. She is so in tune with her clients. She's very humble and exudes calmness and tranquility. I now see her regularly and she has done a great job helping me to cope with anxiety and chronic illness. Can not recommend her highly enough! read more

My husband gifted me gift certificates for prenatal massages with Elizabeth and they were my favorite parts of being pregnant! Her techniques are perfectly adjusted for pregnant bodies and she's very focused on making the experience a pleasant one. The aromatherapy she used was so nice that I continued to smell it on my skin and relax throughout the day. Elizabeth was also very accommodating when it came to scheduling... She managed to fit me in the morning I needed to be at the hospital. Even though my birth experience was not ideal, I think it was better than it could've been since I was mentally and physically relaxed going into it thanks to Elizabeth's expert hands! read more

Elizabeth gives the best massages! She's been my massage therapist for the past three years and I plan to see her for as long as she has a practice (i.e., I hope forever!). Before my massage she asks how I'm feeling and what she should focus on, and during my massage she finds and focuses on places that I didn't realize were tense and needed extra attention. It's clear that Elizabeth's genuine warmth, kindness, and passion for massage make her an awesome massage therapist--I highly recommend her! read more
