A few years ago, Enrique and his crew took on a big job at our 1971 vintage home and did an excellent job in all respects: function, appearance, time and cost. He also helped out tremendously with the final inspection of a kitchen remodel. I recommend him and Empower Electric for any electrical job you may be considering. read more

This review is long overdue - Empower Electric is a "Super Charged Service" company - we have used them many times over the years for small and large situations - they always respond to our calls and arrive promptly / Enrique, the owner, usually is the one to arrive and sometimes with a crew depending on the job's scope - he is extremely patient, friendly and knowledgeable (as is all of his staff) - don't forget his wife, Jennifer, who does the scheduling as she will make sure your request is timely honored / They goes beyond the "call of duty" if required to finish the work - his rates are very reasonable compared to any other company we have used in the past before knowing about them / We will continue to call upon his services when needed and so should you - Empower Electric is the only one you need to call ! read more

Enrique has been our electrician for a few years. He is responsive, professional and does a great job. We've used him and his team to install or hot tub, our EV charger, change the electrical in our house and install can lights. Always does an excellent job. Highly recommend! read more

The power to a garden utility building went out. I checked the breaker and it was at off. I switched to on, and when I went out to the building it was sparking and smoking at the junction box outside. Ran back an tripped the breaker back to the off position. This occurred on a Sunday during the rainstorm that dumped 6.3 inches of rain in 24 hours. I called Empower Electric and Enrique picked up the phone, on a Sunday. He and his employee were at my house by 9 am Monday. All was fixed, plus a few other light switch replacements in the main house within in less than 2 hours. Highly recommended. read more

I will recommend Empower to all my friends. Enrique and his team are very professional and honest. He is very knowledgable in what he does. We had a small job to be done, an additional outlet needed to be installed in our family room. He was able to come out promptly to give us an estimate and scheduled the job at our convenience. The work was done well and they even took their shoes off to walk on our white carpet! Nice guys! read more

Enrique and his team did our full electrical upgrade and coordinated with PG&E to drop more power to our house....a little over a year ago. Our new house was built after WWII and needed a modern overhaul. The project called for a new electrical box, all new outlets to meet code, installed new light fixtures, new LED canned lighting, and new appliance hookups. Something that impressed me was that his crew ran power under the house into the individual rooms instead of fishing everything from the attic (which minimized major drywall repair which would have cost thousands to repair). Throughout the project, Enrique gave us daily project updates and kept the lines of communication open. And a side note, I did my homework and got 3 other bids. Enrique's bid was the most thorough and my husband approved -- he's a construction manager himself and was also impressed with Empower's work. read more

Honesty is so rare these days, and Empower Electric is HONEST! We only needed some simple things done for our older mobile home - a socket in the kitchen had blown and needed to be replaced, and we needed the polarity corrected on one side of our living room (had been that way since we bought the place). Two little things, but you wouldn't believe the estimates we got from other places... two, three times what Enrique estimated! AND he could see us next-day! He did quick, thorough work, and was kind enough to let me ask questions about what he was doing, as he did it (I am very curious about this sort of thing!). He was happy to explain the wires and tools, and really seems to have a love for his work. The socket in the kitchen is still working perfectly, and we can finally use electricity on the left side of our living room! In the end, he charged us LESS than his original estimate, and wouldn't accept a tip for such a small job. When pressed, he simply said he'd love it if we let friends and family know that he'd done a good job for us, if they needed electrical work. I would absolutely trust Empower Electric with any project in their field. I'll probably even ask them for a referral for a contractor for a bigger project we're considering in the next year. You won't be sorry if you hire Empower Electric. read more

Enrique is such a cool guy. He is brilliant at what he does. His staff of workers are so friendly, efficient and excellent at what they do. They are respectful of your home and their work is so clean that you didn't even know they were even there. I would recommend his services because they go above and beyond. He has completed electrical work at my business and my home. read more

I called Enrique from Empower from an ad I found on Craigslist. I was nervous just picking someone without a recommendation, but it was a great move. I wanted to have 3 lights fixed/replaced in the house and patio. While he was there, he said it wouldn't take long and asked if there was anything else he could do. By the time he left, he had replaced 5 lighting fixtures and only spent an hour doing it all. He put down blankets when he used a ladder in the house and was super friendly and informative. He even gave me info on what types of outlets I should buy if I decided to replace them myself. As a woman who knows little to nothing about this, it was great to get such a friendly, helpful person in to take care of it. I would highly recommend him to anyone. I've already personally recommended Empower to multiple people, but I thought I should do it on here as well. Don't think twice about calling them, they are great! read more

Fantastic, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and efficient. I would give him 10 stars if I could. We've used Empower Electric twice- the first time to pull wiring into our ceiling for lighting, and the second time today to fix a mystery blown outlet. The first time, Enrique was able to fit us in within a couple of days. The second, he was over here in literally 15 minutes. The work was completed quickly and for a very competitive rate. He is extremely organized. What fantastic service. Highly recommend. read more

Enrique and his team do incredible work! They helped us when we first move to our house. Careful, meticulous, detail oriented. We have had them out multiple times and have not been disappointed! Can't recommend them enough! read more

The power went out at my moms kitchen on a Friday at about 7pm on a Friday night. I tried resetting the breakers and that didn't work. I called and the owner asked me a few questions about the fuse box. He gave directions as to how to reset the fuse box boxl and how it should make a clicking noise, which I didn't know about the click. That didn't work. I texted pictures of the box. I called back in 5 minutes and the owner said I can be there in 20 minutes. The owner had his mask on, was very cordial and was able to fix the issue very quickly. I liked the fact that he didn't try and take advantage of the situation, he didn't have to say anything about the breaker. I will be definitely be calling the owner in the future if we need electricity services again. read more

Enrique came out to install a 240V outlet in our garage. Communication was smooth and everything was complete in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend him for any electrical needs! read more

Totally lame! The guy is not as represented in other posts. Must have lobbied for them. He was not interested in doing my electrical repair. Really? I just don't get tradesman these days. Are there any good, reliable, PROFESSIONAL ones out there because I can't seem to find them. Don't waste your time with this guy. read more

We first used Enrique when we began our project, and I was initially very impressed. He returned e-mails and calls very quickly, was very courteous and professional and I thought he would be the go-to electrician for Novato. When the project got going (installing recessed lights, adding a new panel for an A/C unit, and fixing a list of items from the home inspection), we were caught off guard by how many holes were put in our drywall to install the lighting. We talked to Enrique about it, and he explained the process, but we wished we had known that before going forward. We ended up scaling the project way back, because we were nervous about patching the drywall and matching texture. Once the job was scaled back, it seemed his interest did too. He finished the job, but we kept on having to remind him of little things remaining until it was done. I thought that things were okay, and twice now I've reached out to Enrique for little jobs, and the 1st time it took over a week to get a response (he was too busy). And I've called and e-mailed him a few times now about another project and I've not gotten one response. Three stars for an average experience. He does good work, but I can't seem to get him to respond to me for these small jobs. read more

Contacted Empower based on 100% positive reviews in Yelp for a fairly minor job (installing a charging station for an electric vehicle). The POSITIVES: -- got a very speedy response from Enrique -- got a rough ball park estimate that sounded very reasonable by phone -- Francisco arrived unbelievably promptly at the agreed time/date -down to the minute The NEGATIVE -- and that was that. No immediate estimate but a promise "I will e-mail you tonight". Never heard from the outfit again despite sending direct inquires to Enrique via e-mail In SUM: If you feel a job is not worth your time, TELL ME so. Don't waste your and my time coming to my home and then not bothering to give an estimate or an honest reply that you are simply not interested and presumably misunderstood what my project entailed read more

I found Empower on Yelp since I needed a few electrical projects done on a vacation home I manage in Bodega Bay. Enrique showed up with short notice and did a great job of completing all the projects. The major projects was installing motion sensors for the exterior lights. Enrique is really nice and has a great personality. He took the time to thoroughly explain everything while completing the repairs so I learned a lot from him. read more

I'm writing this review because I didn't need to use Empower's services. I called Enrique yesterday and described the issue I was having. It would have been incredibly easy for him to come out, fix it in 20 minutes and charge me a couple hundred dollars because he seemed to know exactly what the problem was from the description. Instead, he told me I should call PG&E and that they would likely come out right away and fix it for free (which is exactly what happened). Next time I need electrical help, Enrique is definitely the guy I'm calling because I have confidence that what he tells me will be fair and accurate. read more

I found Enrique on Yelp, and some of the negative comments made me wonder if I made the right call, but Enrique proved to be great. We had a mysterious power surge where a circuit constantly output 240V. I spent several hours but wasn't able to root cause the problem. Enrique came in and he's not only very good at sorting through all the outlets, but also he explained why he did what he did. He was efficient and get the problem fixed. Oh, forgot to mention that I called him on a Saturday and he came over the same day and solved my problem. Highly recommend his service. read more

From start to finish Empower electric exceeded my expectations! They recommended and installed a recessed lighting plan, installed 3 ceiling fans, completed the job on schedule, and came in under budget! Enrique is so nice and easy to work with! I love my new recessed lighting and ceiling fans. The new lighting makes such a difference! Even with our homes high ceilings we can now easily read from the sofa without needing a floor lamp. And, with 3 new ceiling fans, the house stays cool without air conditioning! Thanks Empower! read more

Enrique is a fine example of a tradesman with great ethics, skills and class. I bought a house he had done work on before I bought it. There was a wiring problem that needed resolution and Enrique not only agreed to come out for this very small job, but he even offered to do the work for nothing. Let me be clear - he didn't know me and owed me nothing. He simply felt that the pride in his workmanship called for this response. Obviously, I was impressed and asked him to do some additional work. Even then, the cost was reasonable for the number of man-hours expended. His team was professional, cleaned up well and did a great job. Highest possible recommendation. I wish there were 6 stars. And I wish Enrique a lot of success! read more

Enrique at Empower Electric did all the electrical work for our new store, Marin Ace Hardware. We had gutted the former Sizzler in the location, so there was a lot of work to do, and Enrique did a fantastic job. He's a great guy, I highly recommend Enrique's work. read more

Great job in our home. Skilled, clean, professional, friendly. Found Enrique on Yelp and I am happy to report another five star project!

Enrique was referred to me about a year ago. We had some electrical problems at our business and also needed to put up some glow lights. They fixed everything and put up what we needed just perfect! Wow! What a great guy. I called Empower for help for some loss of power on some receptacles. Enrique walked me through some procedures on the phone on my initial call to help me avoid a house call. When I couldn't resolve the issue, he said he could come by after 3pm. He texted me a 30 min. notice and showed up as promised. He check my whole system and found the problem in no time at all. He offered me a very fair price for his services which I would have gladly paid double, but he wouldn't hear of it. He is a true professional with a high ethical and honest way of doing business. I highly recommend him. read more

Enrique Moreno, owner of Empower Electric, fixed my blown out circuit breaker. He was very courteous, friendly, and above all, was easily able to fix the problem on my old house. He is on time, efficient, and leaves my home Clean. His rates are Excellent! I have and will continue to recommend Enrique and his crew to Everyone who needs work done. read more

Enrique is amazing. I had an emergency breaker in a house we just moved into that was burning behind the breaker box that required shutting off all the power on a cold day in winter. I was frantically calling electricians with high reviews on Yelp (most of whom never called me back), but Enrique picked up immediately and made plans on short notice to come over in a couple hours. He also worked around my schedule, going to get lunch for an hour before coming back to complete the work. I was impressed by his electrical knowledge and professionalism, and on top of that, he's just a really nice guy that's motivated to fix the problem, rather than up-charge you. Totally putting Empower Electric on my speed dial for any further electrical work. Thank you Enrique! read more

I called Enrique again to assist me with a problem I had with one of my power outlets. Apparently this surge protector I bought had loosened some wires and I didn't feel comfortable trouble-shooting the issue myself due to the number of different wires that were connected to this outlet. He was able to come out the next day and fixed the problem in a matter of minutes! Thanks Enrique for the quick and professional help! Again, I would definitely recommend Empower Electric, Inc.! read more

Enrique came to my rescue on a Saturday afternoon when my electrical issues were causing my heater to go out and my garage door to stop working. I had been without my heater for 24 hours in the winter so I was hoping he could fix my problem. He came immediately. I would recommend him highly and plan to use him again in the future. read more

I found Enrique by accident...my accident. I "installed" an outlet in our kitchen on a Sunday. By "installed" I mean that I killed the power to half of the room...and most importantly, the dishwasher (who wants to do dishes by hand anymore?). Enrique came out on a Sunday and quickly and inexpensively fixed my mess. Since then, we have only used Enrique for our electrical projects, both big and small. He could not be a nicer guy to work with (which is important when you have someone in your house for a long project). His team is as professional and kind as he is. I actually look forward to his visits. We were quoted a price for a light installation that dropped from a 20-foot ceiling that was in the thousands of dollars. Enrique? It was a couple of hundred and it looked beautiful. He's replaced fuse boxes, wired hot tubs, put in outdoor lighting and fixed more of my personal projects than I care to admit to. I only wish I could find more skilled tradesmen in other disciples who are as amazing as Enrique. read more

I was referred to Enrique by a good friend. BEWARE!!! Initially he was responsive, but took a long time to get a quote to us. Luckily, we planned work in phases. Enrique and his outfit were a disappointment - it was a second home for us and we weren't there all the time. I thought this would make him get the job done more efficiently. Instead, he only sent one guy while charging us for 3. One morning we showed up without advance notice for another contractor's appointment, and Enrique was not there but showed up 30 minutes later looking clearly like he has just woken up. Empower did not do all the work they had given estimates for and the work they did do, did not warrant his rates. We had given him a 50% deposit with the remainder after work was done. Because we were not there the entire time he was working, we went through the house confirming that the estimate matched the actual work done. IT DID NOT. When I emailed Enrique about this, rather than saying that he would fix it, he got defensive and combative - saying he does not like to be "nickeled and dimed." He was pushy about getting the remainder of what he believed he was owed, which I sent him. Needless to say, we hired someone else to finish the shoddy work he did. He missed out on a potentially larger job because we are having a lot of work done on our SF home. We have now hired someone who is hard-working, efficient and most importantly, HONEST. read more

Our furnace tripped the breaker several times on the 24th. The furnace repairman went under the house this morning but came right back up and told me there was a wire sparking and giving off black smoke. I shut down our electricity and went to Yelp to find someone in Petaluma. All of the reviews for Empower were 5 stars, and as it turns out are well deserved. I called Enrique Moreno, the owner, and explained that I had an emergency. Enrique changed an appointment and came within 2 hours. This for a customer he had not worked with before. He updated me twice by cell phone on when he would arrive. All the reviews speak of Enrique's honesty. I was very impressed by how carefully and patiently he explained the situation and what needed to be done. I am very grateful that Enrique fit me in on the day after a long holiday weekend. He and his assistant went under the house and found two live wires with their bare ends embedded in the mud under the house. They had probably been like that for 14 years when the furnace was replaced. Luck came at the right time for us because there is a significant chance that our house would have burned down in the next few days. Enrique is coming back tomorrow to do some interior electrical work we have postponed. I recommend Empower Electric to anyone. A great local company. read more
