I asked Simon Wallace to check my foundation due some exterior cracks in the masonry. It had settled almost an inch over nearly twenty years of exposure on the steep sloping terrain. Eight piers stabilized the footers and a recent check showed excellent results after nine months of extreme weather conditions. This is a great relief!

The foundation continues to shift leading to cracks inside and outside that thousands of dollars in repairs every few years years. They don't understand how clay soil works and their warranty is useless because it doesn't cover the cost of cosmetic repairs as a result of their shoddy work. If they perform any warranty work, you're still on the hook for thousands in cosmetic repairs. Ask them if their foundation repair work also requires that you add a French drain. You don't have to take my word for it. To protect yourself, ask them to put the items below in the written contact. They will refuse. 1. They are responsible for repairing any cosmetic damage that results from any flaws in their foundation work. 2. They are responsible for repairing the interior floor if they have to repair an interior beam. 3. They guarantee that the foundation work keeps the foundation from moving up, down or horizontally. (Clay soil expands and contracts, so you don't want the foundation moving) 4. Guarantee that their beams won't angle due to soil shift Any company that knows their work is good will stand by it and have a robust warranty. Quality Foundation Repair's warranty is bare bones with exceptions for virtually everything.

Austin Drainage + Landscape Development - the 'sediment' in the pipe is water, which fills up to the top of these drains and then floods my house

From the beginning, they treated…read moreme fairly and proposed a straightforward solution to my drainage problem instead of trying to upsell unnecessary work like other companies did. Their fair treatment, high-quality work, good communication, and hassle-free follow-through on everything they committed to meant a lot to me--especially as a single woman who has sometimes experienced companies trying to take advantage of the situation. My backyard now has the drainage solution I needed and looks beautiful! I never expected that fixing a drainage issue would transform the space so much. The rock selections they recommended was beautiful and the team installing them are true artists -- their craftsmanship turned my backyard into a new highlight of my home! I cannot recommend ADLD highly enough. Thanks for everyone there for the great work and experience. As a side note, the owner, Kyle, is great to work with - a very honest and fair person who clearly sets the tone and culture for the company. They said they aim to exceed expectations, and they certainly did!

I sit on an HOA…read moreboard so getting this done, im assisting in a position to assist a resident within our small community. So, Ive been calling to make appointments to price out what this will cost. Every company I have talked to has been well represented by whomever answers the phone. A very rough voice, kinda what you would here if you didnt want to answer the phone, answers the phone. Its a woman on the other end. I can hear in her voice that she has probably had a tough day. However, Im a potential new client... I ask to make an appointment to get a quote. "Since you're an HOA, we charge a consultation fee. Thats how we handle it.". I say "Well then, I am not interested." and hang up the phone. Let me give you some advice... If you have a potential new client on the phone and the first thing you start with is fee this or fee that... You are not going to get that client. You have no idea the work we want done here or the amount of projects you could have received. In your line of work, if you're good at what you do or charge the amount that is consistent with going rates, you wouldn't need to charge HOAs consultation fees. If I was random Joe Shmow, I wouldn't have been charged is what that tells me. So instead of coming out to show your work or what you could have done to gain more work, you were a bit rude and started with fees. You just lost some business.
