If you're one of those people who doesn't know what you're looking for, fear not. Brion has the knowledge and experience to help you select just the right frame and lenses for you - both in terms of style and in terms of functionality. At other Opticians I have used in the past, clients are expected to walk around and peruse the various available frames, selecting several they like essentially at random, with little understanding of the differences in size and fit. At Optique Elegance, however, Brion will briefly discuss your desires and requirements, and then bring the frames to you! I found this process most enjoyable - as you try on each pair, he will take your thoughts into consideration, sometimes intuitively understanding why one pair is just a little 'off' even when you can't quite put it into words. Before you know it, Brion will have whittled the dozens of options down to a handful of pairs that all look great and fit perfectly! The hardest part, frankly, will be choosing just one pair - and not because you can't find one that's just right, but because there's more than one! A point to note - Brion sees clients by appointment only, due to the personal attention he gives to each individual. This is, of course, mentioned above in the establishment details, but it hadn't occurred to me to check before my first visit. Unfortunately, with my arrival, I interrupted Brion in the middle of his meeting with another client. Not to worry, Brion was very gracious and accommodating and made me an appointment for later that afternoon on the spot. I mention this only to save you the embarrassment of a similar faux pas - believe me, the value of Brion's personal attention far outweighs any potential inconvenience!

Brion has been incredibly patient, professional, diligent, and meticulous with me and in helping me get the proper glasses and tools for me to function and live my life. She and her staff are considerate, personal, and very professional. To give you an idea of the type of person she is, when I had LASIK many years ago, all I was required to do was to get to her office - she drove me to the vision correction center in Manhattan, because at the time it was the closest and best. And while the number and types of treatments have improved over the years, she still shows that same care towards her patients. After the LASIK, she put me on a slightly more rigorous regimen than average, and it was well worth it - the flap on the cornea healed almost seamlessly, with no problems since.

When I go every year, since everything is covered under my benefits we make the appointments and go get our eyes checked. When I was getting my eyes checked, the eye doctor (lady) was writing up my prescription. I told her that since my eyesight hadn't changed that dramatically, I would like to keep my same prescription as the year before. This made Dr Karen visibly angry, as I noticed her turn beet-red. "If you're not going to use the prescription, then why waste my time?" I told her 2 different prescriptions will make my old glasses not usable... but just a mask-wearing, self righteous, easily offended individual. Very unhappy. The other drawback is my glasses that we get from this place seem to get cheaper and flimsyer every year. And they charge for everything... It's just not a great experience
