This is the second time my glasses came in and they were not correct. No apology or explanation. I will never use them again. I am done!

I filled out a few standard questionnaires and the Doctor took me into the room. It took a while because he was extremely thorough with the examination. He suggested a correction for my glasses, then had me put my old glasses on and put 2 lenses on top and told me that was the correction I needed. He was right on, things got perfectly clear with the lens correction. I was so excited to order new glasses. I was then moved back out front where the frames were and picked out what I wanted, paid the Bill and left. I received a call from them about 3 weeks later with an apology for taking so long, there was a problem getting the new frames to the lab. I went in the store to pick them up, the lady spent a lot of time adjusting the frames and they fit perfectly. I can now see really good through them. I will add that they were very Covid conscious and cleaned anything that I came in contact with. I highly recommend them for your eyeglass needs.

After several experiences over the course of the week were staff violated my HIPPA rights - notably when one receptionist grabbed the phone from another, stated my name and said she was ending the call (direct HIPPA violation) and hung up on me, I'm now tasked with tedious ethical obligations. It's important to note I deal with two large Doctors offices weekly - for many years, including getting prior authorizations - for a serious internal injury. The staff openly talk about patients. Dr. Roth engaged in office gossip, then based off that decided to call and attempt to degrade and threaten me. They're all rather stupid not to realize everyone has the ability to record things, and as a communication professional, I was so disturbed after my first contact I knew to protect myself. The slander he slung hurt him grossly as it is all contradicted by the conversation I had earlier in the day with Casey (who is highly manipulative and exhibits deep psychosis/lack of empathy comparable to seri@l k!llrs). He didn't even take the time to collect information before the call, not aware his threat meant nothing and me answering was giving him the shovel. He talks real loud.

(Non)-review for optical shop only…read more I'll never know whether they're any good or not, since: I called ahead to determine the hours, was told they were open such and such hours, showed up during such and such hours, and was treated to a closed shop with a sign saying "back at 2 PM", presumably for lunch. That this was not the only optical shop where they failed to mention lunch hours is sort of beside the point, although I'm taking out my frustration here because I had specifically mentioned the hour when I was going to come by and the phone answerer didn't correct me. I suspect this is endemic to places where there's an ophthalmological practice associated with the optical shop, that is on somewhat different hours to the optician - I surmise the reception and the optical shop folks aren't necessarily on the same page. So I'm just sadder and wiser and not angry at this point. You are similarly cautioned that calling ahead doesn't necessarily do you any good. And, seriously, this was the *fourth* place this happened to me, where they weren't there during the hours they purported to be there, so clearly this is a "feature" of small optical shops. I only mention it this time since I made a special trip after explicitly asking "will the shop be open such and such hours".

I called on a Tuesday and got an appointment for the following day. We arrived ten minutes prior to our appointment. When I gave my daughter's name they said, "Oh, the doctor had an emergency and is running a little late. If you want to fill out the paperwork and wait." I asked how long. They said he'd been there in about 45-60 minutes. WHAT? Then they told me I could come back if that was easier. I looked at them, not knowing what to say. They said they tried to call but my phone number was wrong. They tied the white pages but I wasn't there. I decided that these things happen and filled out the new patient paperwork. After the last sheet, was someone else's completed forms. Yeah - you know - the ones that have their name, SSN, and whatnot. I left with my three kids unsure what to think. I went home and put my name and zip code into whitepages.com. My number popped right up. I called them, telling them I'm in the white pages. They said they didn't have my name, only my daughter's. What? I then found out his emergency was a burst pipe at his house. Nothing medical or whatnot. So...he can cancel on patients, no one like a spouse can handle a burst pipe at 1:30pm in the afternoon and no other doctor could see my kid? And...the staff is too incompetent to take information correctly or remove prior patients forms from a clipboard. Not the kind of place I want to do business with. *sigh*
