I made an appointment to get my eyes checked and if necessary some new glasses. I arrived at the store on time, the door was locked, but promptly opened where the young lady asked my name and took my temperature. I filled out a few standard questionnaires and the Doctor took me into the room. It took a while because he was extremely thorough with the examination. He suggested a correction for my glasses, then had me put my old glasses on and put 2 lenses on top and told me that was the correction I needed. He was right on, things got perfectly clear with the lens correction. I was so excited to order new glasses. I was then moved back out front where the frames were and picked out what I wanted, paid the Bill and left. I received a call from them about 3 weeks later with an apology for taking so long, there was a problem getting the new frames to the lab. I went in the store to pick them up, the lady spent a lot of time adjusting the frames and they fit perfectly. I can now see really good through them. I will add that they were very Covid conscious and cleaned anything that I came in contact with. I highly recommend them for your eyeglass needs. read more

Although Dr. Braim was great and gave me exactly what I wanted, Liza then presented me with a totally ridiculous and fabricated "bill" with information that she said she just received from CDPHP and aggressively tried to extort an extra $109 more from me than I owed. She actually had printed some strange figures on a sheet of paper - for example, the individual yearly limit and some other total nonsense - and kept yelling that I hadn't met my deductable so if I subtracted some amount from my deductable, it came to $129.00. She stated she had submitted my card and was sent this information from CDPHP. I refused to give her more than my $20 copay and she said I would have to talk to her boss and pointed to someone sitting at the table. I waited for a few minutes and then told her I was leaving and offered her the $20. When a nice gal from CDPHP and I called Liza about 20 minutes later, she said she had talked to her boss and I was all set. Genuine information from CDPHP with my card number could never have come up with $129, so I can only conclude this was an attempted scam and they should be ashamed of themselves for attempting to take advantage of a 77 year old woman. read more

Paid out of pocket for an eye exam at Clifton Park location. Opthamologist was rude and condescening. The receptionist saw this and apologized and provided a small refund. Suggested I visit the Latham office and see Linda. What a waste that was as well. Linda repeatedly says that she will find me a pair of contacts that works. I saw her 2 times to try on different contacts and nothing worked. This began last year (summer) of attempting to find a qualified opthamologist. Left several messages at Linda's office only to receive no call back. So I paid out of pocket for a service I never received. read more

I learned more from the optician at Dinapoli Clifton Park about my vision issues than I learned from the three opthamologists I've seen recently. They also spend more time with you than your doctor will. This is the best place to buy glasses! read more

I have been a DiNapoli Opticians fan for years but it wasn't until recently I had my annual eye exam done in Clifton Park . Dr Bob DeLuccia did my eye exam .. and he was awesome. So incredibly thorough ! He spotted a freckle in my eye that no one had ever seen and promptly sent me to the Stuyvesant location for a special high resolution photo to be taken . Going above and beyond is an understatement. Linda Graves Miller did so much for our son AJ to help him be able to put contacts in and actually see things in a different light. AJ struggled for many months with trying to get his contacts in and when AJ wanted to give up trying Linda stayed positive and helped AJ see the light at the end of the tunnel. With Linda's help AJ finally got his contacts in and he can't believe how much more confident he feels. We want to thank Linda for all her help, she is truly special. read more

I went to get new sunglasses. After a very thorough fitting I asked if my prescription had changed that much because new ones were going to set me back $6000. The optician checked and came back and said the change was minimal and he wouldn't advise getting new glasses. I was astounded by his honesty. I will certainly return when the time comes for new glasses. This business has been family owned for a few generations. No wonder they are still in business. read more

I believe that Dinapoli opticians gives deliberately fraudulent information over the phone about the price of their eye exam. When one asks the cost of an eye exam, they say $99. Then when asked if that exam is for contact lenses, they say that that one is $135. We know that a few extra measurements need to be made for contacts, so this seems reasonable. At no point do they say that the $135 is in ADDITION to the $99, which is unheard of in this area. For all other opticians, the lense exam fee INCLUDES the other and is not added onto it. read more
