The crew did an amazing job trimming several massive branches that were hanging dangerously close to our roofline. They worked with incredible precision in a very tight space between our house and the neighbor's fence, managing to lower every piece safely without a scratch to either property. They were able to flawlessly remove several branches, which were extremely high, in our backyard tree. They came out to my property, looked at the work that needed to be done, and gave me a price quote. Based on that quote, I agreed to have them do the job. We were under the impression that everything was agreed upon and that they were coming to complete the work. When the father came to start the job, his attitude was completely different. He was dismissive and disrespectful and basically told me that they were not going to do the job for the price they had originally quoted me and other work to get to. If you give a customer a quote after seeing the job in person, that price should mean something. If the company changes its mind about the price when they're ready to start, that's something that should be communicated professionally--not handled with an attitude after the customer has already agreed to move forward. My issue isn't simply about the price. It's about honoring the quote, communication, and treating customers with respect. Watch out and make sure you get everything in writing before agreeing to anything with KD Tree Services. I personally will not be using them.
