We initially agreed to have both the attic and the crawl space insulated. When I told Gabriel that the kitchen fan is currently venting into the attic, and that we need to find a roofer to make a hole to vent it outside, he offered to connect the fan to an existing fan, at no charge. We later changed our minds about the attic and decided to just have the crawl space insulated for the time being. But Gabriel insisted on fixing the kitchen vent anyway, even though his men no longer needed to climb in the attic at all. I protested, but he said he'd agreed to do it, so he will, still at no cost. I was flabbergasted by his generosity. The three young men who work for him were all sweet, polite, and arrived early, and left the place spotless, both inside and out. (As opposed to another company whose inspector left muddy footprints all over the beige carpet, even after I laid down some newspapers.) I can't recommend Gabriel and his company enough. He treats his customers as if we were family. Oh, and there's ALWAYS a nice secretary, Jesiemae, who answers the phone and books you an appointment on the spot. No annoying voicemail tags. The addition of two QuietCool fans also seemed like a major plus, as I was already familiar with the product and expected it would significantly help with cooling. When it came to the insulation work, I was very pleased. The crew did an excellent job removing the old insulation and installing the new. They worked efficiently, protected my floors well, and ensured that no insulation debris entered the living areas. That part of the job was handled professionally. However, I was less impressed with the radiant barrier installation. This may partly be due to a misunderstanding on my end, as I expected a different type of material, but the end result did not meet my expectations. The biggest issue, unfortunately, was the installation of the fans. At best, it was very poorly executed. The fans are 16" units with 12" duct openings, yet they were installed directly against the gables, which severely restricts airflow. Proper installation should have included a box or shroud to help direct airflow effectively through the fans. Because of this poor airflow, the fans do not cool the attic--in fact, they appear to make things worse. I can actually watch the temperature on the thermostat increase when the fans are turned on. I reached out to my representative multiple times, but the response was disappointing. I was told they could not take the fans back, and when I asked why the attic temperature increases when they are running, I was told there was no explanation and nothing further could be done. As temperatures continue to rise, I'm left frustrated that I spent $1,200 on two fans that perform the opposite of what was promised, with no meaningful support or resolution offered. UPDATE: After posting my initial review, I was contacted by both the project manager and the owner. I reiterated the reasons for my frustration, explaining that my review reflected my honest impression of what I saw as a lack of clear communication and effective management of the project and customer expectations. The project manager apologized for the communication breakdown and asked if I would be open to giving them an opportunity to make things right. A technician was then sent out, and he took the time to fully understand the issue, carefully examine the installation, and make several adjustments to the original work. He believes these changes will help improve airflow in the attic. Since my attic has some unique characteristics, he also provided helpful suggestions for additional ways to improve cooling and airflow--something I feel should have been addressed during the initial planning stage of the project. Whether these changes will result in significant improvement remains to be seen; I'll have a better sense once the weather warms up. I do appreciate the follow-up and the willingness of the project manager to reach out and try to make things right, and I have updated my review accordingly. That said, I want to be clear that the increase in my rating is largely due to the technician and the time he invested in evaluating the full situation, as well as both implementing and proposing thoughtful solutions.

We've been working with this company since November2023 (below is our interactions), and the problem we originally came in for has not been solved. 11/14/23 - ESTIMATE VISIT occurred :Estimate scheduled with Dan H from "Attic Aid" from Yelp. They came and provided a written estimate as B Green Pro Attic (Estimate 04108 and Estimate 04107). We accepted estimate 04108 and was invoiced and paid $3990 with three year warranty, which states "Service comes with 3 Years Warranty for the crawl space - if you hear or see any rodents returning we will come back." 11/27/23 - CONDUCTED VISIT: Clean, sprayed, traps sets, rodent proofed, and replaced ducts. We were very hopeful as they did do a good job. However, we gave them feedback many times that there was still a rodent in the original place reported upstairs. They came back and checked out traps or crawl space area, but didn't resolve the issue (12/9/23, 3/9/24) or no showed (3/2/24, 3/20/24). When they came on 3/23/24, they finally shared pictures of where there were rodents still making a mess, where the ducts were damaged, and where there was a hole, but never showed up on 4/18/24 or 4/26/24 to fix. They no showed in total 4 times! I made several calls and emails to follow up and they went MIA. We provided grace since they shared there was death in the on 4/26/24 with a promise to get back to us on/after 5/1/24, but they never did. I followed up again on 5/13/24 and 5/23/24. I have heard nothing so I had to start looking at other companies to finish the visit. We have beyond patient, and have held back posting this as we were giving them the benefit of the doubt, but now we have to pay more to have the work be finished. Then they decontaminated it and deodorized it then they used wire steel wool on foam to close up every entry of the roof rats I thought I'd found all entry points, but they found even more in the roof, where the rats had chewed through wood to get into the attic. They also found holes in foundation screens that I somehow missed. They guarantee their work for three years. These folks exceeded my expectations. We had a pretty large job that included cleaning, rodent-proofing, sanitizing, and re-insulating our attic, as well as cleaning, rodent-proofing, sanitizing, re-running our ducting, and laying plastic in our crawlspace. It was a big project that took about a week, and they showed up on time every single day, checked in regularly, and worked hard throughout. Along the way, we discovered a pipe leak, which they fixed without issue. We also needed to reroute our dryer vent, and they handled that as well. Even with these unexpected additions, Eduardo stuck to his original quote, which we really appreciated. The quality of the work is excellent, and we are very happy with the results.
