The truck died on me my second day having it. Not only that. He said he would tow the truck down to Long Island for me when I bought it but did not answer the phone the entire morning that I took the drive up to where it was parked in his shop, nor the day before. I've never felt the need to make a bad review on any business until now, thanks Danny.

I brought my truck to Danny with a clear deadline, which he agreed to upfront. I was quite clear…read morethe deadline was a dealbreaker and he should not accept the work if he could not complete it on time. The timing was critical to my family's long-planned RV trip. Despite promising it would be done in "one, maybe two days tops," he missed the deadline completely without proactively updating me. He later told me he delayed my job to take a higher-paying walk-in. Ultimately it took him six days past our agreed upon deadline to finish the work. During that time, none of the completion timelines he gave proved accurate, leaving me unable to plan, without a vehicle, and uncertain if or when I'd get my truck back. As a result, the experience was extremely stressful, my family lost five days of vacation, had to cancel multiple appointments more than once, and was out over $200 in non-refundable reservations. To add insult to injury, when he finally presented the bill, the price was inflated -- followed by a long speech about how much he cares about his customers. Unprofessional and unreliable. Do not trust him with your truck.

With the help of Social services, the Newburgh sheriffs, and Newburgh police my father is now safe. The police found my father's car a few days later and told us we needed to pay the tow fees before we could get the car back. When I called Express Towing, I was emotionally, mentally, and physically drained. Dealing with my father's dementia and his current financial issues is distressing. I called expecting more problems getting his car back. I can not thank Al at Express Towing more. He slowed me down and explained what I needed to do to get my father's care out of impound. I explained what happened and that I did not have the means to pay the towing fees right now. He said to give him a few minutes and he would call me back. A few minutes later he called me to say everything was taken care of and I did not have to pay the towing fees. He had called the police and waived the fees. What an amazing blessing. My family and I are so very grateful to him, he lessened my families burden. Thank you so very much...

I called the shop while the incident was happening, and shortly afterward, my dash camera was unplugged. I ultimately had to go to the shop in person to address the situation. When I spoke with the owner, Tony, I was extremely disappointed by how my concerns were handled. Rather than taking the situation seriously, he was dismissive and repeatedly denied that his employee had taken the money, even after I explained that I had video footage showing what happened. Tony told me that their protocol is to place any spare change they find inside a cup. I specifically explained that this was not done with my money, but he continued to deny that the employee had taken it. He also told me that, as part of their process when vacuuming a customer's vehicle, employees go through the glove compartment and center console. I find that extremely concerning. I don't understand why vacuuming a vehicle would require employees to go through a customer's personal belongings. At one point, Tony sarcastically asked me, "What do you want me to do, fire him?" He also said that I should have waited and allowed the situation to continue so we could see whether the employee was actually going to steal the money. I found that response completely unacceptable. I should not have to knowingly allow someone to take my belongings just to prove that something was wrong. Tony also stated that the security cameras inside the establishment have not worked in years. Given what happened, I found that extremely concerning. A business entrusted with customers' vehicles should have functioning security measures and should take reports of missing property seriously. What was most disappointing was the lack of accountability and the way my concerns were handled when I brought them directly to Tony. I can only speak to my own experience, but the combination of what I witnessed, the lack of functioning security cameras, and the explanation that employees routinely go through customers' glove compartments and center consoles has left me with serious concerns about leaving personal belongings in a vehicle at this establishment. Don't let this happen to you. Consider taking your business elsewhere.
