These empanadas are bursting with flavor and taste. One can fill you up! I suggest you split one with a friend so you can taste other varieties. The Gumbo is extremely hearty; Shrimp Etoufee is thick, flavorful like a portable soup and the Shrimp and Cheese is bursting with cheese which reminds me of a white cheese pizza. This is the place to get NOLA inspired cuisine that's portable. They warm it so it's served piping hot for your on-the-go days or to relax on their outside tables and chairs. There are great deals if you want 6+ or more.

Hey Yelp friends. This is a good little spot to grab a quick snack. Yum! They are so tasty and fresh. Full of flavor. Lotsa choices. So many and so good. Love that they are stamped with the name. They have a few places to sit inside and a few little tables out on the side walk. They serve coffee and other drinks. The girls are very nice and they were ready for the morning business. They kept a nice flow. It's just a few minutes wait after you order while the pie good through a nice little oven. Yum! Check it out! We will be back.

Hey Yelpers! We found this great little spot while walking through the French Quarter, on St. Ann near Jackson Square. They have an amazing selection of empanadas at a really great price. We tried the chorizo, crawfish étouffée, Asian dumpling, and apple & pecan empanadas. We enjoyed them all and would order the again, except for the étouffée. I wanted to try it (never had étouffée before) and I'm sure it tasted great. Just wasn't my thing. They also have a selection of coffee drinks, sodas, water, and even protein drinks. As for the service, they are fast and friendly. At one point they had multiple people in one and got them all taken care of and on their way very quickly. Inside, the spot is very cute: colorful and lively. I would definitely stop by here again for a quick, inexpensive bite while walking around. Check them out!

During Mardi Gras so very busy very crazy Bright red doors that caught our attention then the smell from the inside lured us in Simple decor here and there but it was the wonderful aroma of good deliciousness that you need to know Line was about 25-30mins Got a cup of latte while we waited Was worth the wait Of course try their specials but the Yellow curry and Crawfish Étouffee, wow, so full of fillings and so flavorful The hot and the heat warmed me up and sobered me Regret not getting more, will have to come back

Empanola is an unassuming joint that is perfect for a hearty snack or meal. It appears to be mainly designed for grab and go, however, there are a couple tables if you want to sit down. I was impressed by the array of empanadas with New Orleans and Latin inspired fillings. It was overwhelming to decide, so the front counter guy kindly walked us through the menu and his personal favorites. I tried the Chilean beef, chicken Peruvian, crawfish etouffee, caprese, and gumbo empanadas (listed in order of my favorites). I was blown away by quality/freshness of the filings and the rich flavor profiles. The exterior of the empanada was a nice thickness and kept together without being too crisp. I also loved the chimichurri and hot sauces, which took everything to another level of delicious.

Da munchie Box!!! Hit the spot

5 out of 5 stars so many to choose from the crawfish étouffée was delightful Had large pieces of crawfish in every bite.. and the shrimp and cheese was awesome. The muffaletta empanada is a must try.

Based on one of our tour guides recommendation we decided to try this place for a midday snack. We tried the Argentinian, shrimp and cheese, muffuletta, Chilean, guava and cheese, and apple empanadas. Hands down the savory empanadas were our favorite. Super flavorful and the chimichurri sauce just adds to the experience. I really wanted to like the guava and cheese empanada but the cheese is not cream cheese and I just couldn't get past the texture of the chunks of cheese mixed with the guava. If you're looking for a snack or meal that's packs a punch on flavor, definitely drop by. You won't be disappointed

I have never seen an empanada shop with so many flavor options. These empanadas are the perfect size with a flaky crust. They toast the empanadas after you order them so they are fresh and warm. I will think about these empanadas for a long time!!!

Super good empanadas. The iced coffee was really good too. Nice find in the French Quarter that isn't beignets.

Wow - what an amazing selection of empanadas in New Orleans! We were so excited when we stumbled upon Empanola, as we were searching for a quick spot to grab some dinner. Their selection of empanadas did not disappoint. We really enjoyed the Buffalo chicken and Chilean beef! The staff were welcoming and friendly on a crazy Halloween night. The empanadas are also stamped with their name so you know exactly what you're biting into should you order a few...which you should!

Oh my dear Empanola....in the 4 days I was in town I got food from them 3 times. The Crawfish, Asian dumpling, Chilean beef, Peruvian Chicken are the absolute best flavors. During with incredible flavor and a perfect walking treat. I love yall so much. They even taste good cold, so feel free to wait to eat them and then make everyone jealous around you on the parade route like I did.

These empanadas are made SO FRESH. The outside is amazingly crispy and inside is stuffed with hot goodness. There's so many different options available!! You HAVE to try the guava cheese. At first I wasn't sure how cheese and guava would really be together but the inside was mostly deliciously sweet guava jam. This was our favorite. I also got the Asian dumpling which was as actually really fire (as an Asian myself). There's gumbo was yummy too. All of them are very full.

I love empanadas and this spot was perfect for my empanada fix! I love that there are sooo many options to choose from. I tried the buffalo chicken and gumbo empanada and my bf tried the buffalo chicken, which was our favorite. If you're ever strolling around spot by and grab an empanada!

Asian dumpling was amazing .I added the lime sauce and sat at a little table on the sidewalk. Right off Jackson Square.

A Latin style tapas place in the arts district boasting flavors from South America (Argentina,…read morePeru, Venezuela, Yucatan), Mexico (Oaxaca and Mexico City), and the Caribbean. Fresh seafood from the Gulf of MEXICO and a wicked drink menu. They offer several ceviches. Tapas include guacamole, empanadas, crawfish queso, fish dip and veggie salads like crispy cauliflower and Brussels sprouts. We had the crispy cauliflower served with tempura, cashew habanero crema, garbanzo hash, and chimichurri. Loads of flavor and just the right bite size for tapas/apps. Plates include churrasco, fish and grits, paella (can be served veggie or without shellfish if you're allergic), lamb, Yucatan style pork, shrimp or steak mofongo, and chicken poblano. I had the churrasco, served with papas bravas. Steak cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. My husband had the steak mofongo and the beef tips, like the churrasco, were seasoned perfectly. The plantain mash was sweet and somehow savory at the same time. We loved both dishes. They make mean margaritas and caipirinhas hre, and also offer drinks like the paloma, the Bolivian sour, sangria, and specialty drinks. Service was amazing. She was so upbeat and helpful. This restaurant was a little slow when we went. It deserves a lot more love. It's so close to the touristy part of the French Quarter. Leave the gimmicky spots and come here, you won't regret it.

If you like spicy- get this dish. Not your typical ceviche. The Mofongo is tasty. If you like Vinha D'Alhos. You'll like this dish. The steak had a marinated vinegar taste. The meat is also very tender. Service was good. Waitress was nice and welcoming.

Honduran food in New Orleans? Definitely!…read more After Match Day, we went to celebrate at Tia Maria's Kitchen. Love, love, love this cozy mama and papa restaurant. It was busy at lunchtime, but it gave us time to reflect on the hard work that led to two of my daughters matching in great residency programs. Two years ago, we also celebrated another amazing match day with a friend who flew in from San Francisco to help our family celebrate. I had the San Pedro Maduro. A deep fried plantain filled with veggies, black beans, avocados, crema and queso. I had mine with chicken. One of my daughters did hers with more veggies. Absolutely delicious! My family ordered a wide variety of papusas and tacos. Definitely add an agua Fresca. Loved the horchata, but the favorite was the moracuya. Blackberry and passion fruit. So refreshing and delicious. Muchas gracias for welcoming our family and friends into your cocina familiar. We loved enjoying your family's kitchen on a special day celebrating another chapter of our family's journey. #2800

I've been wanting to hold back on this review because I swear every time I go, there's so many people ordering takeout or dining it! It very much is getting the attention it deserves. I will say, pricier than your other honduran joints but this one is worth it. You can taste the love and fresh ingredients they pour into this place. If you can, go with a group of people so you can try a bunch of dishes. You seriously cant go wrong with anything on the menu but my favs are: Mega Baleada with carne asada and their pupusas! Service Despite having a limited menu specifically for Valentine's Day, service was slow. It took two hours to get through all three courses. We had the same server as the last time, and she was still warmer to my wife. I'm a customer too and will gladly spend my money elsewhere. Another thing I find annoying is they're always trying to get you to buy a bottle of wine. When I saw the special menu on Open Table, it didn't mention alcohol. We tried to substitute the required bottle of wine with mocktails, but that was a no-go. Presentation: 11/10: They make some of the most beautiful drinks and dishes. Every dish is magazine-worthy. Food Ropa Viega--8/10-the meat was chewy, but had a good flavor. The cornbread was ok. Crabmeat Spring Rolls--8/10--these were different, like a crab cake inside of an egg roll. Hanger Steak--7/10--the steak had the texture of roast, and reminded me of my appetizer. The execution, while pretty, didn't align with my expectations. Baked Banana Mango Cheesecake: 7/10: I like that it was light. Oftentimes cheesecake is heavy. Pan de Pan--5/10--I didn't try the ice cream, but this is not a good take on bread pudding. It was way too dry and didn't have much flavor. Green Passion Mocktail--9/10--cucumber-forward, but still pretty tasty and satisfying.
