Some of the meat was a little dry, however with their guacamole and sauces that they offer I ended up finishing the whole thing! I also got a passionfruit margarita which was really good and I highly recommend that for sure. The place itself is really nice with the doors open and good atmosphere and their staff was super friendly and was always checking in on this. Overall, definitely five stars and I will definitely be coming back here hopefully soon.

We were sat at a table near the bar which was great as it was inside and had a nice breeze with the fans and AC. Damien was our server and was wonderful at explaining the menu and the concept of their scratch kitchen. For our drinks we tried the classic and guava-habanero margaritas. We ended up liking the classic more just because the fresh ingredients were reminiscent of those we had in Mexico. It was a little too warm out to be doubling down on spice in our drinks too. We ordered a brisket quesadilla and for our tacos: carnitas, chorizo, and crispy fish. For our second round (not pictured), my husband tried the spicy chicken. He was warned the spicy chicken is exceptionally spicy but he didn't think that warning was warranted so maybe don't be afraid to try it if you're not big on spice. We had tap water that they left a large bottle on the table for. Even though we didn't drink too much of it, they still replaced it with a fresh bottle after a while since it probably got warm. One staff member even came to wipe up the water that had sweat off our drinks. Overall, El Camino exceeded our expectations. All of the staff was kind and courteous and the food was off the chart. And those happy hour prices are hard to beat! We definitely will be back!

We were there at 6 pm, there were only (10) people there. This is a community restaurant, being silly about free chips are costing them $$$. The salsa is BAD, tomato paste bitter, tasteless with onion & green peppers. They need to visit La Bamba to learn how to make it. My friend had the shrimp fajitas $23, they came out not sizzling, no smoke ‍. I had the Palomia steak $17, they call it something else. Was very tasty but it was room temperature. Not busy & the food just sat there. The Sangria $13. Was super size. Services was 10/10. The place was clean. They had a male singer, we got up & danced. The gringos in the room danced, everyone else watched. .

*This review is for the Patron Margarita we tried last night. *…read more We've been here before and it was a great experience so we decided to come back last night to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We tried the Patron Margarita and unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. The drink was watery and lacked the vibrant, tangy punch that a margarita should have. The lime flavor was almost non-existent. The tequila was barely detectable, and the balance between the ingredients was completely off. To top it off, there were so much ice leaving the drink diluted and weak. For the price, I expected something much more refreshing and well-crafted. This margarita missed the mark completely. After addressing the issue with our server twice, he finally talked to the bartender. The bartender came to our table and offered to give a shot of tequila to add to the watered down margarita, but still, it didn't quite hit the mark. I really appreciated the bartender's effort to accommodate and make things right. It's clear they care about customer satisfaction. Despite the drink not being up to par, the service was friendly and attentive. I'll give it another shot in the future, but hopefully, the margarita recipe gets a little more consistency.

There was a large free parking lot right in front. This was an easy stop and Yelp friends are raving about them. I smelled the tacos as soon as I got out of my car. Taco Tuesday was cute in black and orange with lots of clean tables, high tops, and outside tables. We went straight over to the tablets, scrolled and placed our order, tapping a credit card to finish. We weren't really sure if there were specials or meals were the best way to order. It is Cinco de Mayo and Tuesday here and we didn't see anything special. We grabbed a table near the walk of fame and sat down to watch the music video while we waited for our food. There was no hand soap in the ladies room, so I used the soap in the men's room. I mentioned it on the way in and when I washed up to leave, there was still no soap. We each had 2 birra tacos, shared a drink and rice and beans for $15 pp including tax and tip. Our food came out quickly with a bottle of green and a spicy red salsa. Our lunch was okay the tacos were a little messy crumbling as I was trying to eat them. They weren't full of fresh flavors, they just tasted washed out and watery.

However, my intention is never to receive compensation based on a review. We did eat the food, so compromised on a credit for the pitcher of Margaritas and that's it. As a Delray Beach local we appreciate their commitment to customer satisfaction. Fun atmosphere, average food. The most disappointing part is the liquorless pitcher of margaritas for $27. Tasty, yes, but I think the entire pitcher may have had one ounce of tequila and that's it! Two people split it, came out to 2.5 drinks each, and zero buzz.. Best part, our server finished her shift midway through our meal, and no one told us. We sat there unsuccessfully for 40 minutes trying to get the attention of other staff members for additional service and the check.

So TL:DR, I'm sold! I'm coming back and hoping it's consistent because this meal was delicious. Ordered tacos: steak, carnitas, and barbacoa. With rice and beans and washed it down with a large agua de Jamaica. Steak taco tasted like a real steak taco, and drenched with lime and salsa from their extremely convenient salsa bar, it was fantastic. The carnitas tacos was next, it was nice and tender, great taste, and again, drenched in lime and a mix of their green and red salsa it was very yummy. In between I had the rice and beans that were excellent imo. I'm Mexican and grew up eating beans 5-7 days week so i know a thing or two. The rice and beans were very close to home made. Very nostalgic. Finally I was expecting the barbacoa taco to be, not-so-good. I dunno know honestly I just expected them to not be perfect. Barbacoa was on-point! Great taste and not dry. Good potion of meat too, so I was able to eat some of the meat with rice and beans and that was amazing. Tortillas are made in-house and tasted great, I'm usually picky about this but these weren't too thick and tasted great. The agua de Jamaica was excellent. On the sweet side but not overly overly sweet. It was the perfect meal for that particular day, it hit the spot and didn't cost an arm and a leg. It's in a plaza, in a halfway sketchy neighborhood tbh but is worth going to and very close to 95. I will be going back and probably ordering the exact same order.

We ended up ordering the nachos, which I'm not personally a fan of, although the majority of our group enjoyed them. Unfortunately, the biggest issue for me was how incredibly hot the restaurant was. There didn't seem to be any ventilation, and sitting there was really uncomfortable. We tried to find the manager to mention it, but by that point we were pretty miserable and decided to leave. Maybe we just caught them on an off night, but unfortunately, the experience left us pretty disappointed. The drinks were good, but I expected a much more enjoyable happy hour experience.

La Bamba -- Delray Beach - 1 star…read more Someone recommended this place. Specifically the beef nachos. Specifically this location. I took that recommendation seriously because Florida Nacho Man takes all nacho intelligence seriously. That person owes me $14.50. The plate arrived. Full size ceramic plate, good choice, holds heat. Holds heat the way the surface of the sun holds heat, actually. No warning. No heads up. Just a plate that could cause a medical incident set down in front of you with the quiet confidence of something that had nothing to apologize for. It did not. There were eight chips on it. Eight. On a full size plate. Rattling around like survivors on a burning raft. At $14.50, that works out to $1.81 per chip. I want everyone to sit with that math for a moment. Each chip had a spoonful of highly underseasoned ground beef on it. Individually placed. The sour cream was piped in decorative swirls like this was a thin nacho cake -- tasteless, unattractive, sad, with no business in a Mexican restaurant. The lettuce was iceberg, roughly chopped, room temperature, just another passenger on this train of sadness. The jalapeños were pickled, piled in the center, and had the heat of a decorative garnish because that is all they were. The cheese welded the chips to the plate. Fork Rule violated. At a Mexican restaurant. For nachos. Shame on them. I ate all eight chips in pursuit of a redeeming quality. There was not one. Alas. The margarita was $5.50 on happy hour special. It also sucked. 1.5/10. The Ghost Nacho. Just avoid this place altogether.
