I first visited the location at 9320 W. Flamingo with a couple of friends. The moment I walked in, something about the place made me feel like I was back in DR. The cafe is beautiful, colorful, and has such a warm Latin feel to it that I immediately felt comfortable and welcomed. And then, of course, there are the empanadas! They have so many different varieties, beef, chicken, shrimp, egg, and many others. The three of us each ordered one and then got an extra one so we could share and try another flavor. I was surprised by how filling they are! One empanada can definitely satisfy you, and everything we tried was very tasty. They also have other Latin bites, including yuca and a potato ball filled with meat, along with pastries, sweets, cold drinks, iced coffee, and hot coffee. It's a great place to sit with friends, have a bite and a coffee, and try something a little different. The young ladies working there were also very friendly and added to the pleasant experience. I enjoyed it so much that the very next day, on my way to a doctor's appointment, I thought of Empanada Factory when I wanted to bring something for the staff at the office. This time I called their Town Square location, which was more convenient for me, and ordered a dozen assorted empanadas, two of each variety. They were a hit! Everyone at the doctor's office loved them and commented on how delicious and surprisingly filling they were. It turned out to be the perfect thing to bring and share. So whether you're looking for somewhere different to meet friends for a casual bite, want an empanada with a refreshing iced coffee or a pastry, or need something delicious to bring to an office, business, gathering, or someone you simply want to treat, Empanada Factory is a great choice. I had to leave some of it on my plate, so I wouldn't go into a food coma. As always, the service there is on point and friendly. The host and server does not miss an opportunity to make sure to check up on you and provide water, or whatever beverage you're drinking. They're very sweet and run a pretty efficient shop. The cooks really I did themselves this time! The restaurant is always cleaned... The wait staff is always on top of cleaning the tables, and making sure everything is orderly. The bathroom is also clean. The restaurant has an open kitchen concept, so you can see the cooks in the back, preparing the dishes, including mashing up the plantains to make the trifongo. If you are in town, you must try this place. I recommend the roasted pork and the fried chicken. Of course, if you're looking for something on the smaller side, you can try the trifongo. It's a little tricky to find since it's not directly on Spring Mountain, but if you come down Wynn Rd you'll see it tucked along the side of the busy plaza that also houses The Golden Tiki. Inside, it's adorable. We were greeted by a girl with a gorgeous smile, and the entire place had good energy. I ordered a raspberry matcha latte while my friend went for the tiramisu latte. Both were fantastic - hers leaned more toward dessert, while mine was refreshing, bright, and beautifully balanced. There's bar seating, indoor tables, and a few spots outside. Before I even walked out, I was already planning my next visit. Their food menu is calling, especially the empanadas and Colombian pastries they're known for. I'll be back soon.
