You can order the empanadas baked or fried. I got all of mine baked. The pastry/dough part of the empanada is great. It's not too bready and it is light, flaky, and crackly. I just wish there was some way to tell which empanada has what filling without having to cut them open, as they all look the same in the box. The restaurant is super clean and nicely decorated. Staff is very friendly and everything is made fresh to order! I will be back to try their pizzas and different empanada fillings!

It has smoked ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, mustard sauce, in a sweet egg dough bread. The bread is what makes it different from your standard Cuban sandwich and I can't enough. First, it's inside Boulevard Mall inside El Mercado. Finding El Mercado isn't too bad when you know it's located there.
