Loved everything about this food truck! Yesterday I ended up going with my cousins and friends down to the great American foodie festival. I literally drove all the way from summerlin just to get empanadas. These empanadas did not disappoint. The service was top notch. The lady that took our order was wonderful, super nice and she gave me these awesome sauces to try with my empanadas that were super delicious. I ended up getting the Latina yesterday because the New Yorker was all sold out. Also got an order of Maduros and passion fruit juice. It was all so good. So I drove all the way down there today just to get those empanadas again. But this time someone ended up taking advantage and took my order. They pretended their name was Celenia, and when the guy called out the name they just took the order. That sucked big time because that's something that no one should ever do. But the lady that took my order apologized and they redid my order and even gave me and my kids water to drink while we waited for the order to be complete. On point! I grew up in Chicago and had plenty empanadas. Searching for the best empanada in the valley has been difficult, but look no further. From the well seasoned meat, to the flakey crust, to the eyes rolling to the back of my head, I must say this is the next best thing to sex... just saying I never knew my taste buds could have orgasms. We had this food truck outside our office and it was a blessing. I ordered the NY beef, The Latina, mauduros, cheesecake and apple pie and everything was on point. I had a pre-conceived notion that the empanadas would be too small for the price, but I was incorrect. They were filled to the brim and I became full halfway through the meal. Lately, I've been on a food truck fetish. I stumbled across this one by chance and was ecstatic to know they are in my area twice a week! When I finally remembered the dates and times I took my happy behind to go get me some empanadas. I ordered the New Yorker, gen-u-wing and miss-cheese-vous (catchy names btw!). My favorite was the New Yorker. Very flavorful and my favorite part of a fried empanada is not having oil ooze out every time you bite into it. It was cooked perfectly! The gen-u-wing (buffalo chicken) and miss-cheese-vous (mac n cheese) was equally my least favorite. The chicken was a bit on the dry side and I didn't care much for the flavor. The Mac n cheese one didn't have much flavor either. It was on the bland side for me. I love a good Mac n cheese and this did not do it for me. I also ordered the maduros which was excellent! I've read a few reviews and some mentioned the Latina and curry one being good. I will attempt to try those out. read more

I love the empanada theme. I tried the Mac and Cheese and the Chorizo one. I think it's called the New Yorker. I really enjoyed the Chorizo/meat empanada. It was freshly made and so crispy. I however did not like the Mac and cheese one and my kid didn't want to eat it either. I tried their plátano chips..and they were really good too. Over all I think it was good. For what they sell, the price it's too much. You pay for 1 small empanada $6 and it doesn't even come with either rice or beans. 2 empanadas and 1 side of plátanos maduros (5 small pieces) was $22. I ordered the New Yorker (beef), the Latina (chicken) and the Trinidadian curry (chicken) one. New Yorker was the most flavorful and my favorite. Latina 2nd and Trinidadian 3rd. I got it with the "spicy" (yellow) sauce. My friend got the green sauce. I tried both and liked the green sauce better. I got the 3 empanadas with one side (maduros) combo for $19. The maduros had good carmelization and sweet enough, but were kind of dry on the inside, I'm not sure if it's supposed to be that way. The lady was nice and helpful. I didn't use a CC so I can't speak to those issues. It should really be a 4-4.5 star, but I gave it 5 star to even out the 1-star reviews. Also, if I got three New Yorkers I would've rated it 5 stars anyway. I hope this food truck is successful and I want it to keep coming back to the Clark County Government Center. read more

Options for empanadas are very limited in Las Vegas, but thank God this food truck has driven into town! They have a buffalo chicken empanada that is absolutely delicious. At first glance at the menu, you may think the price is a little higher than you would expect for a single empanada, but ONE empanada is so filling and stuffed completely full with delicious ingredients.
