The empanadas are generously stuffed with your filling of choice and all were super flavorful. If I had to pick a least favorite, I would say it was the "pizza" as there was not enough tomato sauce. You can order the empanadas baked or fried. I got all of mine baked. The pastry/dough part of the empanada is great. It's not too bready and it is light, flaky, and crackly. I just wish there was some way to tell which empanada has what filling without having to cut them open, as they all look the same in the box. The restaurant is super clean and nicely decorated. Staff is very friendly and everything is made fresh to order! I will be back to try their pizzas and different empanada fillings! read more

Quite a few Argentinian empanada shops in town and this was on my radar. Located on a strip mall so there were plenty of parking. Coming in to an empty place nearly lunch time, was greeted and seated right away. Ordered the lunch special of 2 empanadas and a slice of pizza with a drink. Had to try the Fugazzeta pizza of course, with the beef and chicken empanadas. The pizza was very cheesy and has good oniony flavor. The empanadas were too salty for my liking. Not too keen on the dough tho. It was too flaky which crumbles when you take a bite. I'd rather have a more tender one. Nice interior with plenty of Argentinian mate all over the counter and shelves. Makes you think they serve the national drink, but no. Just for display. Nothing to shout about really aside from the friendly staff. read more

It was my 1st time trying Argentinian pizza and empanadas. Learned that fugazzeta is a stuffed pizza where two pizza crusts are sandwiched around cheese before being crimped shut and topped with caramelized sliced onions on top. So cheesy and perfect for cheese pull! Loved the beef empanada. Primavera is also a must try. Not a veggie eater most of the time but I enjoyed it! Why does this place not have a line out the door?! Stumbled upon this place after a long day of car shopping. Located in the middle of where all the car dealerships are on Sahara. Omg this place is legit. Cute mom and pop place that serves great pizza, chicken wings AND empanadas. They have other stuff on the menu but that just happens to be the stuff we had the chance of getting. Everything was delicious. Was interested in this place for a while and when I saw their $30 for $15 offer, I had to take it. Went in yesterday and got the ground beef, the beef of 10 (x2), carne saltana (x2), BBQ pork, the shrimp and the chicken bechamel. Everything was AWESOME! The shrimp was unexpectedly good! Plump juicy shrimp, filled to the brim. All the empanadas were sooo tasty! I've never seen empanadas so filled! And the crust.... We opted to have them fried so they were deeeeliciously crispy. I was craving Empanadas on a Friday evening. Looking through Yelp for new restaurants in Las Vegas, I had stumbled upon Fugazzeta Pizza & Empanadas. I wasn't sure what Fugazzeta was, so I looked it up online and found out that it is a popular Argentinian style pizza smothered in onions, topped with olive oil, salt, and mozzarella cheese. My husband and I decided to stop by at around 4:00 P.M on a Friday afternoon. Fugazzeta Pizza & Empanadas is located on Sahara/Jones inside a large shopping plaza. There is spacious amount of parking available. As we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by all of the team members at Fugazzeta Pizza & Empanadas! This restaurant is amazing and the service is outstanding! It's a family owned restaurant. There were plenty of tables to choose from. Looking over the menu, it was so hard to choose which Empanadas to try!! We ended up picking out the following Empanadas: ($3.25 each) Shredded Flap Steak (EN) Braised flap steak, spices and provolone Carne Saltena (CN) Hand cut beef, onions, potatoes Beef of 10 (10) Ground Beef, chopped boiled eggs, chopped green olives Spicy Beef (CP) Ground Beef, Onion, Carrots, and Hot Spices. The taste was on point. Crust is perfect, not too thin and not too thick, just the right amount. The amount of vegetables on this pizza was perfect. My dad would always dress up when traveling to Buenos Aires, it's one of those cities that have such rich culture, and flavor. When I saw a new Argentinian restaurant open, I was excited, when I saw what they served, overjoyed! Like heading down a bookstore laden street in Buenos Aires (Fun Fact: Buenos Aires has the most bookstores or any city) and stopping for lunch or dinner at a street cafe, where they serve pizza and empanadas, joy! The pizza is unique, the Fugazzeta is a combination of a pizza Napolitana and focaccia bread (bread made with onions). The sauce is light or none, with the crust and onions/cheese providing the flavor. It's has a fresh Mediterranean taste with the oregano and spread toppings. We tried the beef empanadas and the Carne Saltena empanadas, the former made just like my mom makes them with olives and egg, delicious. The carne Saltena is Argentinian chopped meat with potatoes, with slight gravy notes, like a British paddy (I mentioned the British in an Argentinian restaurant review! Sign of the Cross and say Malvinas Argentinas 3 times, that was close) The empanadas rock. We also tried the classic Fugazzeta with pan crust no sauce. Man, sprinkled with Chimichurri and eat like a king. The onions, the ham, and the cheese on top of that flaky crust, yum. To try the thin crust, we got a small Calabrian, try this one if you don't like so much crust and like a bit more sauce. You can also make your own so have at it. This is definitely on the top places I recommend for trying something new. The staff is tops too, when the driver picked up the wrong order, the manager was one the phone with me immediately and fixed the issue. Awesome customer service. read more

I've gone to Fugazzeta three times alone for the spicy beef empanadas (and the delicious dipping sauce) and finally made it back for the Argentinian pizza. I'm happy to say that everything I've ordered here has passed my "Picky Eater" test and I've even put two other people onto this spot. A family owned business with an ode to Argentina from the decor to the menu, and now what I'm hoping to be a new Vegas staple. Had a mix of dine in and to go. Took a supreme pizza and tried 7 empanadas. Empanadas were all good. Tasted fresh and were a decent size. Pizza appeared pretty standard and while it wouldn't win any awards, it honestly was solid. Good texture and chew, good amount and mix of toppings (I like the artichoke addition to the standard supreme style pizza). Would still like to try the choripan (always on my list) and the thicker pizza crust which isn't available on the large size. Bought the Yelp $30 for $15 coupon which was a nice bonus but even without it, price was 3.5 each empanada and 27 for the large pizza. Would I return? What a hidden gem. Fresh pizza. I don't mind waiting. The empanadas? OMG! Yes! It's in the middle, towards the back of the center. It's a mom, and pop place, with their kid working the counter. They've been open for a year! SO glad I found this place. I'll be back tomorrow! Well, I'm back again! The empanada lunch special rocks. They will bake or fry them for you. I was so happy when they asked. Considering I live 45 minutes away...but whenever I'm close to this side of town, this is my new lunch spot. Delicious!!!!! Second, The pizza crust is fluffy but crispy on the bottom and the toppings are fresh with a great light flavor. The cheese was really delicious though and I think they use top quality ingredients, but the pizza crust was not very good and that is my favorite part. Now on to the empanadas. I love empanadas and can't resist when i see them somewhere. They are alright, but the outside dough is rather dry, and not in a flaky scrumptious way. I ordered 4 and only ate 1, but I am assuming that all the outside pastry will be the same. You really need some kind of dipping sauce. The chimmichuri sauce it alright, but I've had better. They gave me 1 small container for 4 empanadas so I may have to make a sauce of my own for at least 2. I did make a delivery order. Not sure if eating it there would make a difference. I picked up one of each empanada fried and one each baked. All of them were tasty, but my family's preference is the fried option because it was, ironically, lighter mouth-feel.
