When it was clearly dried tasting like jerky (tough). And stating it was intended ti be that way. Serving hot links on cheap white bread slathered with muster to cover up the bread being stale, judging from the hard non-toasted crust of the bread.

Ribs in LA is an awesome Pop-Up truck! Out of all the BBQ choices there are, THIS is the one for…read moreme! The food is delicious and service is excellent. Husband and wife team, Fred & Nyesha, are personable and great people! Now, here's are my favorites: pork ribs, brisket and OMG! The Beef Rib is AMAZING when it's available! (I think the beef rib is most available on weekends but I keep hope alive during the week. You might get lucky. LOL). Tender meats and never dry. The rub they use (Fred's own recipe) is perfect. I always get my bbq sauce on the side because I don't like my meats drenched or swimming in sauce. The sauce is their own and it's good too but the thing for me with BBQ is when it's REALLY good, you don't need any sauce. This BBQ is THAT BBQ if you feel me. lol. My favorite sides are the greens, beans and Mac and cheese. Oh yeah! And the peach cobbler is a TASTY treat! All homemade delectables! Also, their daughter's Hibiscus Punch is good too! The only drawback is when you are fiendin' like an addict for their food, you have to wait until one of their business days to get it. lol. They are in different locations during the week (but the upside is that they are regularly at their weekly locations - UCLA, Westchester, and USC and usually a Saturday in View Park). But they are only at the locations from 12 noon to 2pm (lunch). Makes me crazy when I forget the day that's most convenient for me or I get busy and not gonna get there in time. Saturday hours are a little longer (till 4pm OR until they run out). Check them out on their IG page @RibsinLA for their schedule. My dream for them is to have a Brick and Mortar store so I can get it anytime the mood of my tastebuds hit me! Try it. You will not be disappointed. Ribs in LA is a Chef's Kiss!

The employee at the front provided me some samples to taste before I made a decision and she got me hooked! I walked in wanting a two combo plate, but after sampling the pork sisig, adobo chicken, and the breakfast sausage, I had to make it a three combo (ended up with a lot of food leftover). Personally, I really enjoyed the pork sisig: it was juicy and packed a whole bunch of flavor, especially from the vinegar which canceled out the greasiness. The sausage was surprisingly really good, not too sweet and had a nice garlicky flavor. It'd pair well with a bowl of hot rice and a fried egg in the morning. I got a sample of a soup (can't remember the name), but it had a nice sour taste to it as well (not overly sour though). I definitely will come back again if I am in the area for the pork sisig and the service!

Unlike other joints, they seem to limit their daily offerings to about 10-12 dishes. Which means food doesn't sit on the warmer for too long. The portions are generous and the food was delicious! I tried the dinuguan and kaldereta (2 entrees combo) with rice and pancit. I also got bilo-bilo which is a dessert. All for less than $18. Wish I was closer to this place!

Vietnamese jacket fruit tar tar- I thought the poke was also just ok on the freshness scale Onion soup- this soup was good. Nothing in a hotel can be good right - well this place was mediocre. It wasn't bad but not amazing. If you find yourself at this hotel and it's the most convenient location to eat at then I go for it. Not sure I would drive here, pay to park, deal with LAX traffic just to eat here.

It did seem like anytime I had been there, it was under construction or not open. My friends who live locally let me know that it was finally open for business, so we had dinner there. It was easy enough to get the reservation on Open Table. It didn't seem like the restaurant was ever full when I walked by, but I wanted to have a reservation set. The service is very good. I thought they did a good job of checking on us, refilling our water and wine, etc. I thought the filet mignon I got was good, and cooked properly to temperature. I got the peppercorn sauce, which was a little too spicy for what I was expecting, but I did enjoy it. The loaded mashed potatoes were really good. The other sides, Brussels and creamed spinach, were fine, though nothing outstanding. The chocolate cake was just ok, but the bread pudding was outstanding. Overall, this place is pretty good. It did seem, though, like it's quite expensive, $75 steaks with no sides, $11 charge for bread, etc.
