Brand new Korean spot in Brandon, FL. Plenty of seating. You order at the counter and then take your seat. The staff will bring your order to the table. We've slowly been trying all of the dishes and so far so good. Definitely worth a try if you are in the Brandon area and need a Korean food fix! They are still new, so I'll update my review once they have had some time to find their rhythm.

In a somewhat run down looking strip mall, the small restaurant was simple, but showing K-music videos on a TV. Unfortunately I couldn't see it from my seat, but I'll change that next visit! Our server was polite, helpful, and attentive. We ordered a ridiculous amount of food since we drove 45m to try it, so had a Kimchi Pajeon, Kimbap, Soon Tofu, and Veggie Fried Rice. The pancake was DELICIOUS-super flavorful and chock full of veggies. I did not care for the Kimbap, only because it had less flavor and was a little more dry than the other items, but it tasted very fresh. The Soon Tofu was spicy and full of flavor. It came with a huge heaping of rice in a cute covered dish to keep it hot - I'm ordering these things for home! The veggie fried rice, for which we opted no egg, was also fantastic, but we ended up taking ,ost of it and the pancake home for leftovers. We were also served Ban Chan - side dishes, of small tastes of seasoned veggies such as bean sprouts, eggplant, cucumbers, broccoli, radish, and more. It was all amazing. Sadly, we had no room for anything else, but I will definitely be back as soon as possible. SO worth the drive and expense!

They were also out of the crab egg roll, out of sweet tea, and out of lettuce in which we like to wrap the bulgogi. We ordered mandu, it was good but a little bit doughy because of the wrap they use, not as crispy as we would expect. I ordered the dolsot bibimbop. Mine came out first and was sizzling hot. No complaints, the egg had a runny yolk which means it was not overcooked like many I have had in the past. The bibimbop sauce is delicious with just the right amount of kick. Waitress brought out banchans, there were six different types, pickled eggplant, nori, broccoli, kimchi, bean sprouts, and cucumbers. Son ordered pork bulgogi. The plate was heaping with pork, and the sauce was nice and thick and stuck to the pork. Spouse ordered beef bulgogi and it took about 10 minutes for his to come out after our son and I had our meals. The plate was heaping, but spouse said the beef was a little bland, but some of the bibimbop sauce took care that. Son and spouse took leftovers with them. We were kind of disappointed in the items they did not have, but the lady waiting on us was nice and we realize they are a small business and when things are busy, it is easy to run out. The interior was a little dark, did not go to the restroom so cannot comment on the cleanliness but what we did see looked clean.

They have abnormally high backs. Service was QUICK! I ordered their krab rangoon and boy was it krabby. The imitation crab should have been chopped a but better as it overpowered the rangoon. I had a lunch special with a spicy tuna toll. It was good. Stuck to the basics. There was nothing that stood out but if you're in the neighborhood and craving sushi you can pop by.

I decided to drop in for lunch after shopping at Bealls. I immediately noticed that the booth seating across from the sushi bar had torn and tattered cushions. This is the beautiful bright green cushioned seating that I remember loving after the renovation. It was in desperate need of repair. What made it worse was that I was sat in one of these booths. I picked the side that was least torn. Yes, I could have asked to be seated elsewhere. I just didn't know if all the booth seating was the same way, so I went with it. The service was good. The passion fruit tea and the clear chicken broth soup were all good. It was the sushi rolls that left a lot to be desired. It wasn't the same quality that I remember. The rolls were small and falling apart. I'm sorry to say that nothing about this experience was happy. I just hope that the BYO poké bowls haven't changed. I'll order one the next time I'm in that plaza.
