Overall, the food was a miss, though the pizza was a bright spot: thick, flavorful and balanced. The waffle fries were so overcooked they were mostly inedible and the Brussels sprout salad was one-note and overpowered by the overabundant blue cheese crumbles. After a while, we left it alone. So, beer and pizza it was. And the sriracha chicken bites, which packed some flavor and subtle heat, but they felt a bit lonely without the fries.
The portions are so small unfortunately. The burger shouldn't even be offered at the teeny measly size it is for $17. It was like eating a slider! :( I love the pizza and all but everything else on the menu is overpriced and not filling

After a long 5-mile run on the beach, I was craving protein and carbs, and the fact that this place is connected to Santa Monica Brew Works was a bonus! The Food: A Major Letdown I grabbed a pint and sat down, and while the QR code made ordering easy, the meal itself was a bummer. I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich with a side of Waffle Fries. Including tip, it cost around $26--definitely "Meh Value" for what I actually got. The Sandwich: The chicken was pounded thin before frying, reminiscent of a schnitzel, but it was completely flavorless. There wasn't much sauce, and there was a very off-putting taste in either the breading or the sauce--something cinnamony or like nutmeg that just didn't belong. I had to force it down just to recover from my run and not waste the money. Also, the menu said their sandwiches and burgers were made on pretzel buns. This one was served on a regular bun. The Fries: The waffle fries were actually the highlight. They were seasoned well and came with ketchup, though I wish they offered other dipping sauces. Vibe & Service The service was Good at least it was quick and efficient thanks to the QR system. The space is nice and clean of course it's likely Santa Monica Brew Works' space, but I'll allow it--oh and being able to pair the food with a brew from next door is a great concept. I saw some people eating the pizza nearby and it looked decent, but the sandwich experience left such a literal gnarly taste in my mouth that I'm not sure I'll be back.
Came to grab some drinks at Santa Monica Brew Works, and Emma Squared Pizza is connected with them. Easy to order food and have it brought out to your table. We were with a large group so ordered a bunch of different pizzas and appetizers to share. First off, deep dish pizza is always delicious. Very hard to go wrong, and they did the pizza so right. They have such a wide selection, and I wish I remembered the name of what we ordered. But there was a hot honey one that was delicious as well as an incredible mushroom one and, of course, the classic pepperoni. Plus they vegan pizzas, which are also great for people who can't have dairy. Their fries and chopped Italian salad were also the big winners. The big downside is the price - definitely more expensive at about 25-30/pizza. So just something to be aware of if you order. Overall, though, delicious pizza that goes perfectly with a fresh beer at the neighboring brewery.
Oh. My. Gosh. This Emmy pizza was to DIE FOR. I already can't wait to come back! We came for a friends birthday and forgot cake so we ordered 4 orders of brownie and they made it into a cake for us and even gave us candles, shout out to Bridget from their staff she even lent us a lighter! Made our day!!! But seriously this pizza was so amazing, come hungry this place serves vibes and good food!
Emmy Squared Pizza is located near Santa Monica Brew Works, and this is the nearest bite that can be ordered by QR Code. It is neatly organized so that it is brought directly to your table at a reasonable cost. Between the Matt Burger, Fried Chicken, and fries, I have to admit that the food in general was fairly salty. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of chicken, though.
Guys - got the Bodega Burger... best burger of my life I'm not just saying that. It's like a smashed burger, melted with cheese, so good. It was 10/10. It took probably 25 minutes and we came too close to closing time, but it was well worth the wait and worth $25 with tip and a small drink. Would come back. So good.
I recently met up with a friend at Santa Monica Brew Works and we decided to try Emmy's Squares Pizza. Each of us tried a different type, I had the MVP (which was not bad). The service was fast and they bring it out to your table if you use the QR code to order, the ambiance isn't bad, but it's chilly if you sit outside these days! The pizza had a nice flavor to it, I always love a good mixture of marinara and vodka sauce, especially with a pesto drizzle - so it's not surprising. However, at about $25 per personal pizza (only way they sell it) it's really not worth it at all. I don't think this is a bad choice if you're craving pizza and already at Santa Monica Brew Works, otherwise I would try one of the other amazing pizza spots on the Westside or elsewhere in LA. Pizza is solid. After a long day of work this gooey, cheesy wonder hit the spot. Crust is nice and crispy. Peppers were overpowering and the honey was just right. 5/5. Getting again when I travel back.

Their Margherita pizza is a standout--simple, fresh, and full of flavor with mozzarella, basil, and a rich tomato sauce. The laid-back atmosphere and great service make it an easy favorite. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit.
Food: EXCELLENT. The pizza options were wide and the options for adding to your pizza were decent. I really enjoyed the Nashville hot chicken pizza - the pizza was absolutely worth the money, filling with enough left over for a quick snack, fresh, soft and delicious!!! Service: fast and direct to the table you order from in a to go box. No complaints here. Ambiance: Love the outdoor patio attached to the Santa Monica Brew works. This makes the entire establishment a great place to go relax and chill and have some delicious pizza and beer or wine. Can't wait to return!
Return visit. Have had pizza and these eggplant sliders. Great food. Updating to 5 stars because coupled with Santa Monica Breworks it's a good pairing. Captive audience. Sliders were very good. Enjoyed immensely. For the price of their offerings I was surprised there was not alternate dips included. Ketchup is simple(for the fries), A flavorful ranch or flavored ketchup would go a long way.
Helio there Was super excited to finally try this spot as I've eaten at Emily in Brooklyn, NY - home of the BEST burger ANYWHERE, EVER...the Emi Hit this spot on a Thursday early afternoon to get a Le Big Matt and some Waffle Fries...served hot and fresh!!! I'm not a waffle fry guy but DAMN they were bomb!!! Great, friendly service. Managed to avoid crowds and ya gotta love the Emi sauce and the pretzel bun...EFFING DELICIOUS. Now, because my yardstick for measure is the OG Emi Burger in BK (which gets 5 stars all day every day), this burger was delicious but not as perfect as the Emi. That said, this gets a 4+ ... I'd happily return for these items and to try a few other things on the menu as well. Decide for yourself...
The pizza is really solid if you like baked deep dish style but without the crazy crust. If you're eating there it's attached to the brewery but easy to do to go as well. It can be crowded on weekends and evenings but still chill. They are very quick and helpful. Suggestion: cheesy pizza sticks and Cesar salad read more

This was our first time at Emmy Squared, and we were really impressed. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the portions were generous. It was a beautiful summer afternoon, so we grabbed a table outside under one of the umbrellas. It was a great spot to relax and enjoy land early dinner with a few beers. We ordered The Founders ($25), topped with red sauce, Ezzo pepperoni, pickled jalapeños, and honey, along with the Angel ($26), featuring Truffleist mushroom cream, ricotta, mushrooms, and truffle. Both pizzas were excellent with great flavor and a perfectly crisp, airy crust. We also shared the Brussels Sprouts Salad ($17) with pickled red onion, cashews, blue cheese, dried cherries, and miso dressing. It was fresh, well balanced, and paired perfectly with the pizzas. Ordering couldn't have been easier. We scanned the QR code on our table, placed our order, paid right from our phones, and the food arrived surprisingly quickly. It was a simple, seamless process. Our total for the food was $68, and we thought it was a good value. Dining out isn't cheap these days, but the quality, portion sizes, and overall experience justified the price. It was more than enough food for two people, and we had plenty of pizza left to take home. We'll definitely be back. 5 stars! read more
Ive heard amazing things about Emmys and i was so excited to come try the pizzas but ngl i was kinda disappointed. The big ang (pickled jalapeno and hot honey) was my favorite of the two but it was super greasy and the jalapenos were pretty overpowering - i barely tasted any hot honey. Also the pepperonis tasted overcooked and broke apart into gritty pieces as i chewed (sorry for the graphic description lol). But the hot honey flavor was good and i lOVEEE the crispy crust and pillowy dough. I just wish i got a different topping. And the founder was vodka sauce based but i swear there was no vodka sauce to be found. We didnt taste it or see it - it was literally just cheese and meat. Also this one was BEYOND greasy because of all the cheese and the meat on it was very charred and almost burnt. Probably went through like 4 tissues eating a slice of this one. Would not get again. We also got the zia fries and those were good! I didn't have much of those but the fries themselves were super crispy and fluffy and perfect but the toppings on the zia was a bit much for me with the pizza! Would get the fries again but plain :) Overall, love the dough and concept of a detroit pizza and i think they have a good variety of options on the menu so i'd come back to try something new. Alot of my qualms are with the greasiness and heaviness but thats to be expected lol so i cant complain!! Service was amazing, i love that its connected to santa monica brewery! First time here, at the brand new LA Live location across from The Crypt. Positive experience overall - they made my pizza well done, like actually burnt well done - Bravo ! The 6 slice pizzas are enough for 2 people . Service was right on point and ambience decent - its in the old Lawry's and not much was changed. Only thing is they need a smaller side salad on the menu . Only two $ 20 entree sized salads on the menu but otherwise I'll return ! read more

I came back on a crazy busy Friday night just for The Emmy Pizza, and it was every bit as amazing as I remembered. That crispy-edged Detroit-style crust, the perfect layer of sauce, and the blend of cheeses that somehow stay light but flavorful, it's pure magic. Even with the Friday night rush, the service was spot-on. The staff kept the line moving, tables spotless, and still made everyone feel welcome, that friendly "where everybody knows your name" neighborhood vibe you can only get from a truly local spot. I stuck with my usual tradition, pairing great pizza with a cold local brew (because beer deserves its pairing moment too!). There's just something about a pint from Santa Monica Brew Works and a slice of The Emmy that hits all the right notes. If you're debating whether it's worth the trip, it absolutely is. Emmy's Square Pizza has the food, the energy, and the heart that keeps you coming back. read more
The pizza here is undoubtedly fantastic. I didn't realize they were deep dish, which I am not usually a fan of (go thin crust!), but this was truly stellar. All the ingredients were on point, even the sauces (coriander ranch, anyone?) were pretty tasty. My only gripe is that there is an 18% service charge automatically added to your order. The way I feel about this business model is the same way I feel about hidden hotel "amenity fees" or cell phone "service fees", it sucks. As a customer, I'd prefer that the restaurant simply increased the prices so I know how much I'm paying. Nonetheless, the food was good. And if you pair it with a cold one from the Santa Monica Brew Works next door, it's perfect for a bite after work with friends. read more

I finally tried Emmy Squared when I was with some friends at Santa Monica Brew Works. I ordered on my phone via the QR code on the table. The wait was a bit long (or maybe it felt like that because I was hungry!), but once my pizza arrived, I was very pleased. I got the MVP (which has house-made vodka sauce, red sauce, garlic parsley pesto, and a sesame seed crust). It was really, really good and it was a nice size -- and after I took home my leftovers, it was just as good the next day! read more

This is a good place is good when you're in search of food to pair with Santa Monica Brew Works. The pizzas were pretty good, and I especially liked the Colony pizza as the spicy from the jalapeño paired with the sweetness from the honey was a good combination. Because the pizza is square shaped, there's not a whole lot of crust, but I thought the dough was soft and chewy, and the toppings were fresh. There's a lot of outdoor seating outside of Santa Monica Brew Works (need to be 21+ to enter), and there's bar codes to scan to order the food directly to your table. read more

Really good pizza!! Got the gluten free pepperoni with honey and it was delicious. Wish the dough was cooked a little more but overall was good. Also ordered the fries with queso and bacon which were also good. Attached to the Santa Monica Brewhouse. I'd recommend to anyone especially those who need gluten free options. read more

Emmy's Squared is attached to Santa Monica Brew works - you order from the QR code on the table. The Caesar salad is great - be sure to get it chopped if you don't want a full head of lettuce. The pizzas are large and great to share. It is very overpriced for what you receive. read more
Emmy Squared is originally an NYC-based pizza restaurant that opened a pop-up location inside Santa Monica Brew Works! The pizza is Detroit-style with a thick crust, crispy edges, and sauce over the cheese. They have burgers and other food besides pizza too, and you order using a QR code on the tables at the brewery. The pizzas start at $18 and come with 6 slices. They can easily feed 2 people each since the slices are pretty thick and filling. It's super tasty and great quality pizza for anyone who likes a thicker pan crust. An 18% service fee is included but that's basically just the tip. There is a free parking lot but it can get a little crowded evenings and weekends. read more

Emmy Squared is a pop-up serving Detroit-style pizza in Santa Monica Brew works. Emmy Squared and and its sister restaurant, Emily, were some of our favorites for pizza when we lived in NYC so we knew we had to try it while it is in LA. We ordered pick up late on a Sunday afternoon. It was about 4:30 when we came to get it and the place was busy. We ordered The Colony pizza, cheese garlic sticks and the Brussels sprouts salad. The Colony pizza is their signature pizza with red sauce, honey, jalapeños, and pepperoni. It's always one of our favorites but admittedly does feel like a fast food pizza. The cheesy garlic sticks and the Brussels sprouts salad were both good. The garlic sticks came with a carton of pesto sauce. These sticks were tasty but not something you could eat a lot of. Would recommend this place if you're in the mood for Detroit-style pizza. read more

There's street parking in the area or a lot at the brewery but it fills up at peak times! This location is part of the brewery. You order off of QR code menus that lead to their online order platform, and they link back to your table so your food gets brought out directly to you. Service was fast and easy!! I'd been to Emmy squared in Nashville and this locations food was the exact same in the best way. The pizzas were all SO good and I love a Detroit style with a little crispy edge so this hit. Good vibes and good pizza 10/10 will be back read more
