Think Before You Opt-In To Send/Receive Confidential Info Via Klara…read more This review only applies to the Klara messaging web app used by the Fertility Institute of Hawaii / ARMG. As of May 2026, Klara is active on the FIH website (www dot ivfcenterhawaii dot com). If you call the main phone number, you will be directed to receive a text message which is a link to Klara. Or a patient might start using Klara directly on the FIH website. Either way, once a patient opts-in to the Klara service, you basically lose control of any information that goes through Klara. Klara is easy and convenient to use. Most people will not realize they are powerless unless later they want to delete Klara messages that contain confidential information. People may also become aware of the risk of data breach from cyber attack on Klara servers or hacked individual accounts. The Klara security measures for patient accounts are paper thin. The only barrier to accessing messages in a Klara account is a patient's date of birth and phone number to receive a one time code. The Klara platform is a data breach waiting to happen unless the Klara company implements stronger security measures. What can people do to avoid this trap? Make every effort not to use Klara in the first place. Use phone calls, fax, paper mail, and email. If someone already used Klara and wants to delete messages with confidential information, you have to contact FIH/ARMG. There was a former FIH/ARMG manager named Robyn whose email address is listed in numerous replies to Yelp reviews during previous years. To the best of current knowledge, Robyn is not at FIH/ARMG anymore. When contacting FIH/ARMG, ask for the general manager, business manager, office supervisor, or similar title. Then request for FIH/ARMG to permanently delete your Klara messages or better yet delete your Klara account entirely. How about an alternative to Klara messaging? FIH/ARMG also uses another portal through the eclinicalweb domain (mycw30 dot eclinicalweb dot com slash portal13083). Eclinicalweb appears to be a complete electronic medical record system; however, FIH/ARMG may only use it for billing purposes at the time of writing this review. The eclinicalweb portal allows patients to make strong passwords and enable 2-factor authentication for logging in. The eclinicalweb portal has the all the functions you would expect from a modern online medical portal. Based on intuition, the eclinicalweb portal has stronger account security than the Klara web application. How can people encourage FIH/ARMG to change to a more secure platform than Klara? Vote with your words, actions, and money. If FIH/ARMG will only agree to communicate with you via Klara, then decline and take your business somewhere else.

Me (being my impatient self) wanted to explore other possibilities. I'm still young and relatively healthy, so I was looking for a naturopathic option. I truly thank God for this man. Dr. Kosasa is, by far, one of the most brilliant and compassionate doctors out there. We are blessed to have him here in Hawai'i, contributing to our community by helping women and families expand our village through conceiving and carrying new life. There are so many women and couples out there who lose so much time (and hope) trying [often, unsuccessfully] to conceive on their own. After six months of trying for my 2nd baby with my husband, I got so disheartened and frustrated and was encouraged (by my mom, no less) to seek Dr. Kosasa's help. He had helped her conceive in 1995 with my brother and he helped her maintain an *EXTREMELY* high risk pregnancy with me in 1985. I met with him in early 2020 for help to conceive my 2nd child. He evaluated me, diagnosed and treated my main issue affecting my egg quality, production and release (thanks a lot, PCOS!). In less than a month of his treatment, I had a healthy, beautiful egg! Dr. Kosasa administered an HCG shot to provoke ovulation and instructed us to "try" for the next three days. We successfully conceived and over the next 6 months, he checked on me every single week and gave me progesterone shots to maintain the pregnancy. I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl! In early 2022, I sought Dr. Kosasa's care to maintain my natural pregnancy with my 3rd baby. It was, yet another high risk pregnancy with sporadic vaginal bleeding, polyhydramnios and on top of that- at 14 weeks along, I had an emergency surgery to remove my appendix- a laparoscopic appendectomy. Dr. Kosasa cared for me and my baby so well that come that September, baby girl #3 was born safely. In December of 2023, we had a miscarriage and realized that we really did want to try for another child afterward. This was our third miscarriage to date. I wanted Dr. Kosasa to be a part of every step to address any issues and perhaps to repeat the same treatment we had with baby #2. We discovered in the ultrasounds in baby #3 that I had polyps in my uterus, which, per Dr. Kosasa, was most likely the culprit for the irregular bleeding and miscarriages. We scheduled to remove them via polypectomy (outpatient procedure) and within one month, we naturally (and unexpectedly) conceived our 4th baby. This was the first pregnancy with no bleeding, no complications, no issues whatsoever. I did have polyhydramnios again, but no one can prevent that. I gave birth to my 4th baby, safely and naturally in November of 2024. Dr. Kosasa has enriched my life and the lives of my family in such a tangible way that we get to see and love and care for every single day in our four babies. His care and expertise kept my life safe, helped my brother be conceived and born, helped three of my children be safe in the womb... I don't have better words for this man except that he is a gentle and caring prince.
