You guys are horrible. You don't return calls. All the staff that answers the phone are rude except one lady. The head ivf nurse never called me back despite me leaving three messages for her. Shame on you guys. read more

Everything went well. We have been waiting for baby for a long time. We did IVF and was able to follow doctors orders and recommendations throughout the entire process. If we were uncertain about any phase of the process, someone was available to answer our questions. There was a plan for each obstacle and we overcame it with guidance. Everyone on the team is so helpful and encouraging throughout. We wouldn't trust our IVF process with anyone else. Now we are happy to say we overcame a lot of barriers and have a healthy baby boy. read more

My husband Chris and I had been trying for a baby for a decade without success. When we finally got to IVF Hawaii and Dr Chun our hopes were pretty low. This all changed once meeting Dr. Chun and his office. Dr Chun was very professional and also very caring. During our losses and finally with our win. Lorene was always very helpful and caring to me. I'm so blessed to have such great care. Even more blessed to have my baby. My IVF baby was born happy and healthy on July 1st and I'm forever grateful. read more

Find yourself a doctor that you're excited to go see and that you fully believe wants to see you succeed. For us, that's Dr. Chun. From the first phone call with Lorene, meeting with Lorene, and consult with Dr. Chun, we knew Dr. Chun and IVF Hawaii would be the one that we would choose to guide us through our IVF journey. We had gone through one unsuccessful cycle at IVF Hawaii that resulted in a miscarriage. After that try, we were taken aback to hear two simple words from both Dr. Chun and Lorene, "I'm Sorry". Two simple words that meant so much to us, knowing they tried everything, and I did get pregnant, but miscarried. After that try, Dr. Chun tested the embryo and found out it was due to an anomaly. With that proactive approach, he made changes to the next cycle. We ended up undergoing another few cycles with another miscarriage and finally a successful pregnancy. Throughout the whole time, Dr. Chun stayed so positive and invested in our journey, even during times when we ourselves were less than positive given the obstacles and losses we faced and eventually overcame. We recently went back to IVF Hawaii and have now welcomed another baby. It is all thanks to him that our dream of having a family has come true. Infertility is such a rough journey and we really needed the guidance of a clinic that treats each patient as an individual and not as a number with a protocol tailored to our unique circumstances. From the expert guidance and explanation of Dr. Chun, Lorene explaining and instructing us every step of the way, Cyndi lending her knowledge with answers to technical insurance questions, and the warmth and friendliness of the staff, Gen, Kristy, and Marcy, IVF Hawaii became our family during our challenging journey. We are very happy with the care, compassion, and individual approach we received and highly recommend IVF Hawaii. read more

I had gone to 4 other IVF clinics before seeing Dr.Chun. His bedside manner is 10/10. He was able to help me conceive my first baby. He took the time to understand my long standing health concerns and tailored a protocol for me. My husband was also happy with his bedside manner as other IVF clinics we didn't have that experience. The staff here are all very friendly and help keep your mind at ease during procedures. Dr. Chun is the best and I would recommend him to anyone looking to get IVF treatments. read more

Dr Benton Chun, Dr. Beair, and Dr. Leung, and all their staff are wonderful. They are very patient and will support you through your journey. I have been an OB and fertility patient with them for six years. They always give clear instructions and support my husband's and my decisions. Dr. Chun is the Dr. to see if you are having trouble conceiving. We were having trouble due to various male and female factors including a genetic issue and consulted with various clinics, including another that was referred and highly recommended to us by my Ob-Gyn. We ended up going with Dr. Chun and IVF Hawaii due to his individualized approach, knowledge, professionalism, care, and optimism. Going to his office was always a pleasant experience since he and his staff are so warm and friendly. IVF HAWAII: Where dreams come true! Everyone has their own journey and here is ours: My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for a few years and we didn't have any luck conceiving naturally so we looked into getting some help. Our friends told us about IVF Hawaii and we decided to go this route. Dr. Benton Chun is strict, professional, caring, and very knowledgeable in this specialty. He will let you know step by step what is going on every step of the way. My advice is to "trust the process and trust him and his team" and do not rush because Dr. Chun will do his best to give you a successful transfer. In our case, our process was lengthy, but it was worth the wait, because our ivf took on the first try. You can't have a great doctor without his great team! The staff at IVF HAWAII is awesome!!!! Shout out to Lorene, Gen, Christy, Marcy, Carol and Cyndi for all your friendly conversations, great patient care and endless support. Let's not forget to mention Dr. Jennifer Beair, our awesome OBGYN that delivered our beautiful healthy baby boy. She is fantastic, personable, skillful and very caring. Overall, I recommend IVF HAWAII to any couples out there who is longing for a child but can't do it naturally. You'll be in great hands and the staff at IVF HAWAII will take great care of you. Don't be afraid you are not alone; you have the whole ivf Hawaii team. IVF Hawaii - Our family has grown by two tiny feet. Thank you IVF HAWAII for making it possible. - Obstetricians & Gynecologists Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

I really want to give them six stars! Because they are the best on the island! I am a foreigner and my English is not very good. When I first tried to call the IVF facilities on the island, IVF Hawaii provided me with the most timely and professional response. Even if my English expression is not good, the doctors and nurses are very patient. Dr. Benton Chun is the most professional on the island! He is also very gentle and takes care of the patient's feelings! I am already 36 years old and my body is not young anymore and I had very few eggs, but the doctor made a suitable plan for me and ultimately I got pregnant! Loren is very kind and patient ! She arranged all the details! There is also Dr. Leung, a obstetrician of mine in the IVF Hawaii. She is very charming and quite trustworthy! Thanks to her, my delivery was very easy and smooth! Believe me, the team here is the best! Thank you for giving me a lovely little baby! read more

Imagine being on a ship, sailing along to one's destination until rough waters are hit and the voyage encounters stormy seas. One of the first things that may set in is panic. Then the captain, through his experience and expertise, along with his crew, smoothly and swiftly quells the fear that sets in by gently and expertly navigating the ship through the storm and the warmth of the crew is able to help calm one's fears. "What happened" were the first words Dr. Chun had said when we had our consultation with him. Being taken aback by his statement, I said "I don't know." This was the honest truth because we had a convoluted past history with our prior clinic and nothing was explained to us. With IVF Hawaii, it was different. Dr. Chun and Lorene explained everything, breaking it down to be understandable. It was this hand holding that we had never experienced our first time around and, quite frankly, needed. If we had questions they were always there to provide answers when we had questions. After having been safely navigated through stormy waters and taking a lot of blood and tears to get to this point, we can say that we've finally reached our destination and welcomed our rainbow baby boy. We recently returned to IVF Hawaii for our next cycle and are now expecting a little girl. Our only mistake was not choosing the right captain to begin with. Thank you Dr. Chun, Lorene, Cyndi, Gen, Kristy, Carol, and Marci. read more

Why IVF Hawaii? Three words. Because he cares. Dr. Benton Chun is a miracle worker who truly cares by relentlessly helping us achieve our dream of having a family. After years of trying without success, we sought medical help. We initially saw another well-known doctor referred to us by my wife's OB-GYN, with whom we've wasted two years with. We have finally achieved our dream of having a family and now have two beautiful little miracles thanks to Dr. Chun, IVF Hawaii, and his staff. For anyone starting off on the IVF journey, it can be long, arduous, confusing, scary, and downright frustrating. It's a complicated process that involves many known and unknown factors all of which have to be dealt with in order to have a successful outcome. Finding the right IVF doctor and team is THE MOST crucial factor in achieving that success. Having IVF Hawaii to guide us through the journey is what made all the difference for us. First of all, he truly cares. He tells us, "I am sorry" even though he did everything he could on that cycle but for one reason or another the try didn't work. Secondly, he's always very optimistic and encouraging, no matter how daunting the issues we faced may have been. And we did have various male and female congenital issues making our case complex. He took all of our issues one by one while keeping us optimistic for the positive outcome and tailored a protocol to our unique circumstances. Lastly, whenever a try failed, he would always be proactive by trying to figure out what went wrong and he would change the protocol for the next try in hope of a better, more positive outcome. He never gave us a "one size fits all" protocol although our first doctor did that for all his patients, regardless of their unique circumstances. His tailored approach worked and we have our two beautiful, healthy little miracles today. Everyone in the office was also very supportive and friendly. No matter what our needs were, they were always ready to help out. We were like family. Please give IVF Hawaii a call and meet with Dr. Chun and his nurse Lorene. We are so glad we did! read more

In addition to Dr. Chun, Dr. Beair and the entire staff at IVF Hawaii are excellent, personable, understanding, and go above and beyond and made us feel like family. My husband and I feel nothing but gratitude and we are truly blessed with our baby boy. Thank you Dr. Chun, Dr. Beair, and the entire staff at IVF Hawaii. I've been struggling to conceive for a few years and after meeting Dr. Chun we are now parents to a beautiful baby boy. Dr. chun was the best thing that could ever happen to me & my husband. Dr. Chun is so knowledgeable, sweet & caring along with his staff. Everyone at the office is so warm & professional (I'm a little sad I won't see them for months) but I'm glad it's because we have our miracle. Not only is Dr. Chun amazing but so is Dr. Beair she was so calm, understanding & professional throughout my pregnancy & during my delivery. I'm so glad Dr. Chun has an OB Dr. Beair in the office who works along side him because he is kept in the loop throughout your whole pregnancy not just during the ivf process but All the way until you deliver. I highly recommend IVF Hawaii if you are struggling with your fertility. You definitely will not be disappointed! Thank you Dr. Chun, Dr. Beair & staff for being so amazing & helping me bring our baby into this world. We love you guys!! read more

My husband and I are so thankful to have gone with IVF Hawaii. We were recommended to see Dr. Chun based on multiple success stories from our friends and acquaintances. The entire staff is amazing, nice, professional, and accommodating- Gen, Marcie, Lorene, Christie, Carol, and Sarah. Gen is awesome at instruction for the injections. I found it helpful to film the instructions. Lorene is informative, writes out a calendar of everything and answers any questions that I have; if she cannot, Dr. Chun always calls back later that day. Everything was explained clearly in terms of procedures and the costs. If ever I had questions of costs, Cindy always broke it down for me. With all healthcare services, you are your strongest advocate...so if you don't know something, ask; if you are unsure, ask again; write everything down too-with different supplements, hormones and emotions, it's easy to forget the details. Dr. Chun also explained different options of IUI vs. IVF and broke down our percentages and possibilities of getting pregnant. He's also very straight-forward, honest, and realistic, which...for IVF...I didn't need things sugar coated. Dr. Chun also had excellent deductive reasoning to our issues with pregnancy, identifying that I had endometriosis, thyroid issues and other hormonal imbalances. Thus, his screening is very thorough. It does help if you are a good historian of your medical history to help him conclude how to get your body to be the most fit environment for the baby. Also, just an FYI, he is not a fan of his patients eating sugar and advises and restricts your diet to optimize a healthy environment before and after the transplant. Believe me....he'll scold you and give you that Asian parent look of disappointment if you eat a donut!!! I think in general, when doing IVF, even though insurance covers one, you just have to go into this path knowing you're going to invest in a lot of money. You can't complain over a higher cost of one procedure or maybe paying a copay when you thought you didn't-this causes unwarranted stress which your body just doesn't need-Because in the end, isn't it worth it once you get your miracle baby?!?! Some of my friends went to other IVF clinics, which on paper were rated higher, got better social media reviews or didn't charge for a consultation and unfortunately they did not have success. I recommend people to do the genetic testing of the embryos if they have the financial resources. My husband and I did and we are grateful to have done it since we found out only a few were rated high; if we didn't do it, the chance of implanting a "bad" embryo could have been high and to deal with the constant miscarriages could have been more emotionally challenging. Yes the test is expensive....but it's worth it. After I was in the "safe zone" Dr. Chun transferred me to Dr. Jen Beair's care, who he said would be delivering my baby. At first you have a little bit of separation anxiety like "what Dr. Chun?!?! You're not going to deliver my baby!?!?!" But Dr. Beair is amazing-very sweet, professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable. I love that she's very evidence-based and rational. Because she is a part of IVF Hawaii, she also has the convenience to discuss with Dr. Chun anything about your case. Thanks again IVF Hawaii; I look at my beautiful son everyday and thank you folks for this lil blessed miracle. read more

Dr. Benton Chun is exceptional in what he does. Not only him but his staff as well. They are on top of everything for your prenatal, OBGYN, IVF needs. I was referred to him by my primary care physician to get the usual girly check up. He basically told me that I either am going to like him or I'm not. From those words alone I was scared to meet this guy. But why in the hell would my PCP refer me to this guy? He continued to tell me his first encounter with Dr. Chun while completing his residency. My PCP is very serious and straight to the point and tells me with his serious, straight face...."Dr. Chun is the best in the state". My interpretation, Dr. Chun is the Master. Finally the meeting and check up time had arrived. Not knowing what to expect by hearing my PCP's story I expected him to come in breaking down doors barking all the things I should not do. It was totally not what I expected. He quickly made me feel at ease. Fast forward to 4 months.... I took a home pregnancy test and it came out "Pregnant" Whooo!!! Dr. Chun confirmed the pregnancy and took care of me throughout the whole entire prenatal care. Another doctor works along side Dr. Chun named Dr. Kelly Yamasato, MD. The day of my C-Section I was fortunate to get a package deal of both Dr. Chun and Dr. Yamasato which took AWESOME care of me. I was told that when Dr. Chun gives orders people don't jump, they run. Knowing that and go through my monthly to weekly prenatal check ups made me feel that I was in good hands. He definitely took care of me. Oh! and btw...He is listed as 1 of 397 Best Doctors in Honolulu Magazine's June 2011 issue. Now that should be a confirmation as a GREAT doctor. http://www.honolulumagazine.com/Honolulu-Magazine/June-2011/ read more

First, let me start by saying that Dr. Chun is a highly respected expert in his field, and I have the highest respect for his medical skills and knowledge. We had a highly satisfying experience at IVF Hawaii from a purely medical point of view. Dr. Chun himself is the only reason I give this clinic two stars instead of one. This being said, unfortunately I would not recommend this clinic to anyone, because of the following reasons: 1. Disorganized nurse and staff: - Overall, we thought that many things regarding the procedure were not explained clearly to us, and the nurse kept forgetting to mention important aspects. For instance, on the first day of the IVF cycle, we realized that the nurse forgot to write a prescription for an antibiotic that I had to take. In fact, she completely forgot to mention that I had to take this antibiotic at all. As a result, we had to bother Dr. Chun on a Sunday morning. 2. Unprofessional behavior from the nurse and staff: - The nurse was being very pushy when she asked us to sign the consent forms. I told her that I wanted to have a copy of the forms and read them at home before signing them, and she seemed quite upset about that. - The nurse kept insisting that I sign a form consenting for genetic testing of the embryos, even if at the time we hadn't decided to do it. I told her that I didn't want to sign a form agreeing to something we weren't sure we wanted to do, and she told me in a rather rude way that I had to sign the form but I could change my mind later. Tell me, would you sign a form saying you have to buy a house even if the seller tells you you can change your mind later? Enough said... - After the procedure, I left a message at the clinic for the nurse to call me back because I had a few questions. I was then told that the nurse did not want to speak with me because she was upset about the fact that I ask too many questions. (?!?) In brief, I strongly recommend to go to a different clinic for IVF procedure. read more

We are grateful to Dr. Chun, Dr. Beair, Cyndi, Lorene and the staff at IVF Hawaii for their professionalism, care, support and love in our journey in welcoming our little one into the world! She just turned 3 months and I realized that I haven't written a review. We want to share our experience with others so they know how amazing they are! We feel that they are part of our ohana because we endured a lot and their concern and attention got us through it. We were successful in our goal of starting our family. Prior to IVF Hawaii we were unsuccessful with another clinic and suffered a miscarriage. Our family experienced the pain, struggle, and heartache that goes along with infertility and endometriosis. Dr. Chun's expertise, knowledge, honesty, and humor was refreshing and so needed. At our first meeting, my husband and I knew that his confidence, candor, and strictness were some of the reasons for the favorable referral we received from a friend. She herself didn't see Dr. Chun, but others she knew did and they all swore the same thing - that he is the BEST! After feeling comfortable sharing my story with family, friends and some colleagues, I realized that there are so many people that have seen Dr. Chun and have such wonderful things to say. His questions and observations were on point and shows why he is a leader in his field! He will be strict with you about no sugar in your diet. LISTEN and don't ask for any exceptions like I did!! Dr. Beair is sweet, caring and competent. We always feel at ease with her. Such a compassionate and attentive professional. After seeing Dr. Chun for the IVF process, I was hesitant to have someone else deliver our baby. However, he and Dr. Beair work so well together that we felt the constant care from both of them during our entire pregnancy. It's great that they are in the same practice/office so they can easily consult and confer with each other. Dr. Beair was so calm during the delivery that even though it was a stressful time, I can recall her smile and encouraging remarks and demeanor. Cyndi and Lorene were excellent in explaining the processes, calendars, costs and answering our questions. They were also very helpful with my doctors notes for work. I especially appreciated the attention they gave to us when we were in front of them. I know and have experienced other doctors' offices where I felt rushed or a bother. I had some bleeding at about 22 weeks and was recommended to do a cerclage which we did. I bled again 2 weeks later in which I was admitted to the hospital. Each month after that until I gave birth, I went to the hospital for bleeding. I was recommended to do progesterone shots which both my husband and I feel was responsible for us making it to 35 weeks. We were scared and anxious when the neonatologist came to have a conversation about the reality and risks if we gave birth that early. However, by the grace of God, prayers, continued care of all the staff at IVF Hawaii and Kapiolani MCWC we were able to give birth at 35 weeks and able to bring our little one home four days later! We highly recommend IVF Hawaii! We know the emotions that you are going through. Every family has their own journey to take but we wholeheartedly believe that IVF Hawaii is a wonderful team and hope that others will be able to experience the same guidance and blessing that we have. Our sincere appreciation and gratitude to IVF Hawaii! read more

Coming from a spouse's/father's point of view, IVF Hawaii and their entire staff are hands down the best at what they do. The entire process of in vitro is as complicated and specific as you can imagine, but IVF Hawaii makes the process manageable for both husband and wife because there was no way my wife and I could remember everything we needed to do. They answered all my questions with sincerity, gave me the best possible advice, and most of all never gave up on us. My wife and I had numerous failed attempts but with every failure, the staff comforted us as if we were a part of their own family. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Dr. Benton Chun made every effort, and I mean EVERY effort, to be there for us for the entire process and through the birth of our child. He has a great way of balancing being strict and comforting at the same time. My wife and I always knew he meant business, but would always have time to hear our concerns and make us feel at ease either with an opinion or with a laugh. Last, but not least, the staff was Outstanding! We personally dealt with Lorene, Cindy, Genevieve, Pauline, and Marcy, but they have more personnel and they all have a part and they all do their part well. They make IVF Hawaii run like a well oiled machine! After 4 years, numerous IUI's, and numerous attempts of in vitro, my wife gave birth to a healthy baby girl this past March...and of course, Dr. Chun was there to deliver her! And, if we ever have another child, we will definitely choose IVF Hawaii to be a part of that journey with us again! read more

Our journey with IVF Hawaii has been nothing but loving. From the very beginning Dr Chun has proven that he really cared about our success in expanding our family. IVF is an emotional and stressful process that can be debilitating (remember in my first review I said that I went to another clinic. That's how I know it can be debilitating). Dr Chun proved to me at every visit that I could not be in better hands! All the staff are just a wonderful bonus to the experience as well. No matter how busy or what is going on, they always greeted us with a smile, explained everything and answered our many questions with care and patience, and made us feel like family. This is extremely important, as I am a firm believer that you increase your success rate if you decrease stress. I could rest assured that I was in the best hands from the start. It is due to all of this, that we have a wonderful, healthy, and sweet baby boy! We always knew that everyone cared but it was furthered confirmed when our baby came with me to my appointment after birth. You could just feel the overwhelming joy and happiness that they had for us that he had arrived. We are so ecstatic and love our experience with IVF Hawaii. We tell anyone and everyone about our wonderful experience and recommend IVF Hawaii to anyone looking to expand their family. The only thing that makes me sad now is that I won't see Dr Chun and the wonderful staff at IVF Hawaii as often. I saw and spoke to everyone so much that it feels weird. Thankfully Dr Chun introduced me to Dr Jennifer Beair (my OBGYN who is awesome and delivered our son) so I'll have an excuse to see them at least once a year! read more

Thanks to Dr. Benton Chun and his team, we are finally parents to a beautiful little boy! We tried everything under the sun to have a baby during the past five years...yoga, acupuncture, herbs, relaxation trips, etc. No luck - until we sought help from Dr. Benton Chun. He was highly recommended by a friend who got pregnant with her first IVF procedure. It didn't happen as quickly for us. It took 4 IUI and 4 IVF procedures before we got our precious little blessing. Throughout the whole process, Dr. Chun and his staff were extremely professional and efficient. They were warm and friendly at the same time. They always made us feel comfortable and accommodated our scheduling needs. From the office visits to the delivery room, we knew we were in good hands. We could've gone to other specialists after our failed attempts, but we stayed with Dr. Chun because we believed in him and we had faith that he would be able to help us. He did such a great job that I switched doctors and he is now my OBGYN. I now go to him and Dr. Kelly Yamasato for "regular" OBGYN matters. To anyone looking to start a family, call Dr. Chun and his IVF Hawaii team right away. They are the go-to fertility experts. Our only regret is that we didn't call them earlier. read more

I will begin this long overdue review by saying DO NOT select a fertility specialist by the reviews you see on Yelp. Initially, I did exactly that - I selected the IVF clinic that seemed the have the greatest number of positive Yelp reviews, and that led me down a difficult and exasperating experience. What did that teach me? To do my own research on assisted reproductive technology (ART), to search the CDC's website for ART success rates per fertility clinic, as well as to seek stories from friends about their own infertility experiences, and to hear what their experiences with their doctors were. That research, my friends' recommendations, their anectodal stories, and my own experiences at another clinic is what led me to Dr. Benton Chun and to IVF Hawaii. I anticipated someone stoic, strict, and judgmental, but the man I met was stoic yet warm, firm yet encouraging, and very, very patient. This medical professional, his practice and his staff all deserve the highest of praise. So I say again, don't select IVF Hawaii based on its glowing reviews on Yelp. Research ART, its processes and how it relates to you, your age and your circumstances. Look at the CDC's website for fertility (ART) success rates and compare ALL the fertility clinics in Hawaii. Look at the statistics with a critical eye (all statistics can be manipulated to a certain extent) and how the facts relate to you. Apart from success rates, look for education, experience, patience and compassion in your doctor. Don't let the flash of a fancy office or fast, slick talk confuse you. I said in the beginning that this review is long overdue. Sorry, Dr. Chun. I'm just too busy with a 10 month old to be writing timely reviews on Yelp, except when it's 1:30 am (right now). read more

Dr. Benton Chun and his staff are the best. From the day we entered his care, we knew we were in the best hands. In our struggle to become parents, we could not have trusted a more professional and caring staff. We knew we were well taken care of from his receptionist to nurses. Lorene walked us through each step of IVF, Cindy kept us updated and Dr. Chun ensured I was at optimal health. (He has the best staff!) It is because of his knowledge, care, and professionalism that we are parents of a healthy toddler today. Dr. Chun, while strict, knows what he is doing and thanks to his knowledge, we were blessed to be parents with our first round of implementation. IVF can be tasking, but IVF Hawaii made the process easier and each staff member was with us every step of the way. We cannot thank them enough and recommend no one else to our friends and family! read more

Dealing with infertility is not easy, nor is going through an IVF cycle. My wife and I spent months at three different infertility specialists before going to IVF HAWAII. There is no description for the pain we experienced; no one should have to go through the pain. We spent 18 months with IVF HAWAII and our TWINS turn 18 months next month. Words cannot express the feelings that we have today, though without Dr. Chun and his staff ay IVF HAWAII, we would never be experiencing the joy which we have today. read more

Dr. Chun and his staff are the best! He provided me with the best care, support, and told me the straight truth on things I needed to do for the best chances of getting pregnant. Dr. Chun is very well known and for a reason. I have been his patient for quite some time. Because of this it made me feel more comfortable to begin trying to conceive with their team as well. All I can say is, if you want your dreams to come true ... see Dr. Chun. He has always been caring, but when you also get disappointed he is understanding and encouraging when you need it most. I could not explain how much that mattered to us, when things didn't always go as planned. When we finally got pregnant, Dr. Beair took over and she was just fantastic! She was very calming and always calmed my nerves throughout my pregnancy. I can honestly say, I have a beautiful baby because of these two amazing drs. The whole team was amazing and was very happy for my husband and I. I cannot say it enough, if you are trying to start a family please see Dr.Chun. He will guide you and you won't ever regret it. My heart has grown and is filled with so much love with my little one. I am so appreciative to them because of this. So grateful. read more

My husband and I were referred to Dr. Chun by my regular OBGYN. We had been trying for some time to get pregnant. We were very nervous about our consultation, so scared we would hear bad news. Why were we worried?? Dr. Chun and his staff are AMAZING!!!! From the moment we walked in the door, we already felt better. His staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. At first, I was a bit nervous in the check up but, Dr. Chun is very funny and quickly put us at ease. Your first consultation will probably be with Lorraine, who is just as awesome. With all the shots, raging hormones and the hope that goes with it, IVF is not an easy thing to go through. We always knew that we were in good hands at IVF Hawaii. A friend of mine is going through IVF at another clinic and they do not inform or take care of her the way IVF Hawaii took care of us. I know of a few others who have gone through IVF Hawaii and they all love Dr. Chun and his staff. We had to go by the office after my daughter was born (such a blessing and so lucky!!!), this was at least 8 months since the last time we were there, and everyone remembered us. Dr. Chun, Lorraine, Cindy, Marcy and Akiko are who I regularly saw on my checkups. I thank them so much for our miracle. read more

We are grateful for your help and support. read more

My husband and I decided to visit Dr. Chun and his team after we've read some good reviews on this site. We couldn't see him on the first consultation but Lorene explained very well about the steps we are going to take to get pregnant trough IVF. After that we decided to try IVF since that is the only way for us to have a baby. His team was always nice and had smiles on their faces every visit we had. But since Dr. Chun is one of the best, his office gets busy and sometimes we had to wait for a while. So I recommend you have enough time to wait just in case. We tried IVF once but I couldn't get pregnant. Then, we tried Embryo transfer and got pregnant. Now, we have a perfect little girl who just turned one years old. Simply, without Dr. Chun and his team, we wouldn't be here with our baby today. They have complete schedules to follow and take many supplements to get your body ready, so some people say he is a perfectionist and I thank him for that. Sometimes those schedules and all the supplements or injections could be stressful. However, it is worth it. Just to hold your own baby in your arms in the future. When I got pregnant, Lorene and Dr. Chun looked truly happy for us and I'll never forget the warmth that I felt when he said " look at the little gummy bear's heart beating during the ultrasound and It was a long way to come and congratulations" while he is holding my hand. To me, he wasn't the most talkative or enthusiastic doctor at times and he only spent short amounts of time with me which made me nervous or question stuff sometimes but both times that I couldn't get pregnant and I got pregnant, he was very supportive and caring which showed who he really is. I truly recommend Dr. Chun and his team to whom considering having a baby but having a hard time to get pregnant. Not only did they give us the cutest and healthy baby but they also gave us hope and a dream. read more

Our fertility journey has been a very challenging one and such a roller coaster of emotions over these past 8 years. Just 6 months before my 40th birthday, we decided to try IVF one last time with Dr Benton Chun after referrals from friends, and all we can say is that Dr Chun is a rockstar! After a previous IVF attempt with another doctor, we had given up on all hope of having children together. Dr Chun was able to help us to make my dream come true of becoming a mother and on 5/12/16 we delivered healthy preemie twin boys!! The infertility road is a hard one that challenges your relationship, your spirit, your physical and emotional health, and most of all forces you to cling to faith (no matter your beliefs) when all hope seems lost. Luckily for my husband and I, it has made our relationship stronger and has prepared us for the new adventure and challenge of raising twin boys! Dr Chun and his staff made the journey so much easier and were friendly faces that we looked forward to seeing on a weekly basis - and frankly we were sad to leave them when we became pregnant! He has a different approach and philosophy, so definitely make an appointment to talk with him and see how he can help you! My husband and I can't thank Dr Chun and IVF Hawaii enough for helping us on this miraculous journey of parenthood! read more

I was referred to Dr. Chun by my PCP because I am having a hard time getting pregnant. My very first appointment and we were late! When we walked in I thought they were going to say "I'm sorry but you missed your appointment." it was nowhere near that! The staff is extremely friendly and one of the nurses even scheduled my next appointment a little later because she also comes from mililani and understands how the morning rush hour traffic is. Awesome! I nervously waited for Dr. Chun. When he walked into the room he automatically says something which makes me laugh! He's such a great doctor, easy to talk to which is important in cases like mine and he eliminated all my anxiety. I'm hoping he can become my regular OB/GYN. My insurance plan (HMSA HMO) at the moment restricts me from going where I would like to go...I only have 1 year with Dr. Chun since my PCP put in a request with my insurance provider. I'm hoping there's something else we can do so I may keep seeing him. The regular OB I was seeing seemed so careless the last time I went there. He was miserably sick and 3 hours late!! read more

Dr Chun, Lorene, and all the staff members are exceptional at what they do. After a lot of disappointment prior to visiting IVF Hawaii, we were nervous and scared about the entire process. We were greeted with warmth, sincerity and professionalism which lead to our beautiful miracles. Dr Chun is so calm, comforting and genuinely caring. I could not imagine going through this sensitive process with anyone else. We truly feel like we're forever part of the IVF Hawaii family. read more

My wife and I had tried to get pregnant on our own; however, we were unsuccessful. So, a friend recommended that we go to IVF Hawaii and meet Dr. Chun for a consultation. From our first visit to the last, Dr. Chun and his staff were very professional and extremely helpful. They helped us in every aspect possible (e.g. processing paperwork for our medical, helping us get the necessary medication). To go through this process is not an easy one (emotionally, financially, mentally) and Dr. Chun and his staff helped us though it all. Without the help of IVF Hawaii we would not be the proud parents of a baby boy (6 lbs. 14 oz. 20 1/2in.)! Thank you! We are forever grateful! read more

My wife and I have been trying for a couple of years and have gone through two ectopic procedures together. When we decided to go through Other means we were looking between IVF Hawai'i and another company. We decided to go with IVF Hawai'i because Dr. Chun and his staff were very informative, thorough and thoughtful. During the whole process they kept us informed of everything and what to expect. Dr. Chun always put us at ease and made us feel very comfortable, knowing what we have already gone through he really showed his expertise and compassion towards my wife and I and took away my wife's nervousness through the whole experience. We now have a very healthy, beautiful baby boy! For those that are going through the same situation, I highly recommend IVF Hawai'i for their professionalism and compassionate care. read more
