Well craving for Spanish paella and took my neighborhood friend to try it for the first time. He his Mexican and likes it. Overall it was okay the pallet was delicious. I went with a lot of traditional stuff the only disappointment my four stars is because certain tapas that they serve in Spain was not on the menu. Our waitress Adriana was great and entertaining. They were playing music up in front with the guitars but it wasn't flamenco. Some of the tapas were probably new twist to traditional ones but I really wanted traditional tapas. Food was delicious as much as I wanted more traditional Spanish food from Spain that I remember. A bit overpriced but I guess I was celebrating with my friend trying and then I might start a new career as a tractor making more the following week after. That's four out of five stars

Fantastic service, quaint, adorable restaurant, interior centrally, located outside of Chicago. Excellent food.

I really enjoyed the decor, the service and the food. This was my second time being there. I had stuffed mushrooms, prosciutto wrapped dates and a sandwich for lunch with my son.

It's a large restaurant with closed patio. And lots of tables to entertain the guests. We had grapefruit cocktail and the sangria. Clean and service was nice. We had paella, dates and bacon and shrimp in some butter sauce and potatoes bravas. Everything was great, we were looking forward to dessert but we were too full. In reply to the owner's question- we were hoping for more flavorful paella. We had great paella in Spain and potato bravas but the restaurant didn't quite make it the way we expected. The rice was baked but not crunchy on the side. The potatoes seemed more saucy than we would like it unlike our trip. That is the reason I give this restaurant a 3 stars.

What a cozy little restaurant with so much attention to detail on interior decor. There's plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Waiters/waitresses are super friendly and helpful. All of the food was excellent and extremely delicious, cooked to perfection. My recommended dishes: Bacon wrapped dates: Your typical sweet baked dates wrapped in bacon but with a unique creamy tomato sauce that takes it to the next level! Free tuna salad on bread: Dont actually know what this is but it was on the house and I enjoyed this very much. It was light, flavorful, and so refreshing. Gambas A La Pancha: Extremely soft and juicy shrimp with much roasted garlic in lemon garlic Platanos con Helado: Ugh so good! Sauteed banana thats fragrant and soft, drizzled in caramel served with a side of vanilla ice cream. In love with this dessert, would come back for it. Overall had a wonderful experience and 10/10 would come again and recommend!

So old school and yet so good. Happy Hour in the bar was perfection. Sangria flights, small bites, yummy dessert and great service

This was a great place for dinner especially if you have a group. We were a group of 6 so we ordered a ton of tapas to try out. Cost per person wasn't bad since we divided everything by 6. Service was very good. They took care of us and food came out fast. There were way too many tapas to go through so I'll just summarize it. Each tapa dish hit the mark, didn't remember any that failed. I would definitely come back for dinner. Parking was sufficient, you can easily find a spot.

Went here for Valentine's Day, I usually come to Thai restaurant at least 3 to 4 times a year and the restaurant use to be consistent, the taste were always the same. EXCEPT today. The food was quite bland, service was okay, we had a 530 reservation and stayed until 745pm but as soon as we closed the tab were immediately ushered out. Granted it was Valentine's Day but there was about 8 other tables open. As we left the restaurant we spoke to the daughter of the now RETIRED owners, they have sold the restaurant to a non Spanish company. Now it makes sense on why the restaurant's taste were off par. The new company doesn't have an authentic Spanish chef, where as the ownership prior was from Spain and the owner actually was the chef. I gave it a 3 star due to the friendly waiter and that the daughter of the previous owner was there. We spent $600.00 and I'll try it one more time in the future to see if it remains the same. Check it out for yourselves. Let me know if you notice the difference in tastes too. I would gladly pay for authenticity, but not for non authenticity. Shame on you for not stating that your Under new ownership!

Food was decent. The reason for the poor review is the end with the bill. All I have to say is check over your bill carefully.

Our server suggested putting the order in early, and we were so glad he did. I ordered the Gambas al Ajillo and Chicharrón de Ribeye, and both were absolutely delicious. I loved being able to enjoy a little surf and turf and try two completely different dishes. By the end of the evening, we were far too stuffed for dessert--which I now regret! Smells amazing the whole time. Staff was great. Sean helped us out and gave some solid recommendations. We went with the pepperonly pizza. When it hit the table, the presentation looked amazing. First bite... that was it. The crust had that perfect crunch on the outside but still soft inside. You could taste that wood-fired char, just enough to give it that smoky edge. The cheese was melted just right, stretchy and hot. The sauce had a nice balance, a little tangy, a little sweet, not overpowering anything. The pepperoni was the best part. Crispy on the edges, a little oily in a good way, and full of flavor. Every bite just worked. Thin, balanced, nothing too heavy. If you like pizza, this is one of those spots you gotta try. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and we enjoyed what we ordered. The Buzzkill pizza was delicious, and the appetizer platter was a great option for the table. Unfortunately, the service really took away from the experience. It took about 10 minutes before anyone came over to seat us, another 10-15 minutes before someone took our order, and when our Snap Into It salad arrived (for a party of three), it only came with two pieces of bread, so we had to ask for a third. At the end of the meal, we waited around 20 minutes just to get our check. The surprising part was that the restaurant wasn't busy at all, so the slow service was hard to understand. The food was definitely the highlight, but because of the overall service experience, I don't think I'd return.

The atmosphere was fantastic, our server struck the perfect balance between attentive and giving us space, and both cocktails I tried were creative and delicious. The truffle fries were pretty mediocre, but even that wouldn't have stopped me from giving Arbella five stars. What did? Discovering afterward that a 5% "service charge" had been added to the bill. I really dislike this growing practice of restaurants and bars adding percentage-based fees rather than simply pricing their menu accordingly, and it was enough to cost an otherwise excellent experience two stars. Ambiance: 5/5 Arbella absolutely nails the atmosphere. I came here on a date, and it was a great choice for that. The music was good, the lighting and decor created a really intimate vibe, and our booth was comfortable enough that we could settle in and actually enjoy the evening. There was energy in the room without it being so loud or overwhelming that we couldn't have a conversation. Even the menu design and presentation fit the experience. If you're looking for somewhere that feels elevated, interesting, and still comfortable for a date, Arbella definitely checks those boxes. Service: 5/5 Our server was fantastic. This was one of those rare occasions where someone found exactly the right balance between being attentive and not constantly interrupting our date. We never felt forgotten about, but we also had plenty of space to enjoy ourselves and talk. I especially appreciated the recommendations. Whenever we had a question or wanted guidance on what to order, our server was knowledgeable and genuinely helpful rather than simply pushing something on the menu. Excellent service from beginning to end. Drinks & Food: 4/5 The cocktails were easily the highlight. I tried the First You Take The Graham and the Trankilo Melon, and both were really good while also being different enough from what I would normally order to make the experience more memorable. This is exactly what I want from a cocktail bar: drinks that make me curious enough to try something new and then actually deliver. The truffle fries, however, were mid at best. They weren't terrible, but compared with how impressive everything else felt, they were forgettable. I'd absolutely come back for the cocktails, but I'd choose something different to eat next time. About That 5% Service Charge... This is unfortunately where Arbella lost me, and ultimately why I cannot give the experience five stars. I didn't notice until reviewing my bill afterward that a 5% service charge had been added. I strongly dislike this increasingly common practice of restaurants and bars adding percentage-based fees to the bill. If operating costs have increased, I would much rather an establishment incorporate those costs transparently into its menu prices so I know what I'm agreeing to pay when I order. Calling it a "service charge" also creates unnecessary confusion, particularly when customers are still expected to decide what to tip their server. At a cocktail-focused establishment, where you may be ordering multiple drinks throughout an evening rather than paying attention to every line of the check, I think fees like this need to be extremely clear and prominent before ordering, not something a customer discovers afterward. For me, it feels like an extra charge for simply using the establishment in exactly the way it was intended to be used. Overall: 4/5 The frustrating part is that without the service charge, this probably would have been a five-star review. Arbella gave us a genuinely great date night: beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, creative cocktails, and a space I otherwise would have happily recommended and returned to. Instead, that 5% fee left a sour final impression on what had been an excellent evening. It may seem small, but transparency around pricing matters to me. Arbella did so much right that I want to come back, but the service charge is significant enough that I would think twice before doing so.

Le P'tit was the first to pop up on my feed and immediately caught my attention due to its unique menu, historic building, and secluded outdoor oasis for the fair weather seasons. When asked where I wanted to have dinner on my birthday, the answer was easy, L'ptit! We were greeted by the Chef Chopra outside, who welcomed us and asked us to choose the seat that suited us best in or outdoors. We chose a seat outside as it seemed most guests were enjoying the nice weather in the garden. Chef Chopra introduced himself and explained the complimentary montadito, and presented the current specials. We loved that he took time to ask what brought us in, and when we said that we were building a new home in Bartlett only minutes away, he shared that although he has been all over the world he always misses good old Bartlett, IL. This is the kind of connection and service you won't find at franchise restaurants! We enjoyed cocktails, myself a dirty tini with bleu cheese stuffed olives, and my husband the traditional old fashioned and the P'tit old fashioned - both of which he enjoyed. We ordered the hummus for an appetizer - my husband never orders humus. Not a drop was left. It was so flavorful, and since I am intolerant to gluten we loved that it was served with cucumber "chips". We will definitely order this again! Our entrees were both specials - mine the steak and shrimp tower and my husband's the Birria. We could t decide whose was better. The shrimp and steak were so flavorful and beautifully cooked, and the beef and consommé of my husband's was out of this world. My takeaways from Le P'tit: We will be there - regularly, before we move into our home, and after! Have a cocktail, they are fabulous. Talk to Chef Chopra any chance you get. He has seen the world and loves to see his guests enjoying his menu and the atmosphere of his establishment. This is what supporting local is about! Enjoy your time at Le P'tit. Savor. Take a moment to slow down, disconnect from the outside and connect with the ones around you and enjoy the wonderfully and thoughtfully prepared dishes on the menu. We can't wait to be back!

The menu has a fun mix of elevated comfort food and café favorites. The MilkStop Chilaquiles and the shaved prime rib sandwich both caught my eye, ended up choosing the staple which was so delicious. I also really liked the location. It's in the West End of La Grange, a little farther from the main restaurant cluster, so it feels like you're making a little neighborhood discovery rather than just stopping at one of the obvious places downtown. Overall, I love the concept and the personality of this place. Cute atmosphere, good food, and a nice spot to slow down and actually catch up with someone. Definitely worth the walk/drive a little farther out!

Apparently, someone at Milkstop looked at a regular BLT and said, "You know what this needs?…read moreAvocado and apricot." And somehow... they were absolutely right. I stopped in for lunch and immediately liked the atmosphere. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and has this great old-school-meets-modern feel. There's a beautiful dark wood bar when you walk in, vintage-style penny tile floors, a pressed-tin ceiling, globe lights, and rustic wooden tables and chairs. It feels classy without feeling stuffy--the kind of place where you can have a relaxed lunch and coffee in the afternoon or come back later, grab a seat at the bar, order a drink, and stay awhile. I started with the French onion soup, which isn't exactly playing by the traditional rules either. It arrives with that glorious blanket of melted, browned cheese you want from French onion soup, but underneath you also find bread topped with pieces of steak. Because apparently onions, bread, broth, and melted cheese weren't decadent enough. The soup itself was very good. Mine leaned just slightly toward the salty side--not enough that I wouldn't order it again, and definitely not enough to overpower everything, but enough that I noticed. Overall, though, it was rich, hearty, cheesy, and exactly the kind of soup that makes sense once Chicago-area sweater weather arrives. Then came their take on the BLT, and this was easily the star of lunch. Bacon, lettuce, fresh tomato, and avocado are already a pretty solid team. But then Milkstop throws apricot spread into the conversation. On paper, I wasn't entirely sure where we were going with this. Then I took a bite. It works. The salty, smoky bacon plays against the sweetness of the apricot spread, while the creamy avocado and fresh tomato balance everything out. Add the crisp lettuce and really good toasted bread, and suddenly a sandwich you've probably eaten a hundred times tastes completely different. This wasn't just a BLT with random ingredients thrown onto it to make it sound fancy. The flavors actually complement each other. I would absolutely come back specifically for this sandwich. I ordered mine with the side salad, which was fresh, simple, and nicely dressed. You can also choose fries, beer-battered onion rings, and other sides if you're feeling considerably less responsible. I briefly considered the salad my healthy decision of the day and therefore assumed it canceled out the French onion soup. Nutrition experts may disagree. And finally--the coffee deserves a mention. Simple, but genuinely delicious. Sometimes restaurant coffee tastes like it has been sitting around contemplating its life choices since 6:30 in the morning. This did not. Overall, Milkstop is a really enjoyable La Grange find. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the menu takes familiar comfort foods and gives them just enough personality to make them interesting without trying too hard. Come for lunch. Grab a coffee. Sit at the bar. Get the French onion soup. But whatever you do, don't let the words "apricot on a BLT" scare you. Trust the process. I'd order that sandwich again in a heartbeat.

Great food. Terrific service Nice menu…read moreCool restaurant Construction around restaurant is a pain

Getting to Rustico during construction (the street is closed) can be a challenge. Our biggest…read morechallenge was our GPS taking us to the alley behind the restaurant. That was nice, I suppose, but there is no entrance in the back. We ended up parking just down the street and walking, unfortunately in the rain. Some of that is important for as long as the construction lasts. Our GPS issue has nothing to do with the restaurant. It's just a friendly FYI in case it's your first time. The place was cute, but kind of ordinary. I was surprised when trying to find the restroom there is another big room of tables behind the bar. Servers were attentive, but they mislead us just a bit. Our friend asked about the paella and was told it was, or maybe could be (?) a single serving. Well... no way. It was massive. I believe he enjoyed it, but didn't come close to finishing it. I'd say it's easily a two-person meal. We were also told pizzas were individual size. The pizza had eight slices and could easily serve two. Mark enjoyed it. He ordered the four cheese pizza, which included blue cheese. I took a bite and definitely tasted it and didn't care for it. I think the blue cheese might have been one reason Mark DID like it. I ordered an appetizer, PULPO A LA PLANCHA from the Hot Tapas menu. It was quite good. I also had the soup of the day, which was mushroom. It was delicious! I finished all my food and was perfectly satisfied and full.
