Also a huge fan of Emerson Knives. The Emersons... Mary, Ernie, Megan, and the rest of the staff are wonderful, wonderful people. They're pretty much rock stars in the custom and tactical knife world, but they are very down to earth and treat every customer with dignity, respect, and give you the benefit of the doubt. Their production line is fantastic... I have many friends with Emerson Knives and I've enjoyed trying out each and every one of them. Their custom line is just a step above the rest. Difficult to acquire, a closed order book, requires you to sign up for lotteries and shows in the hopes that you acquire one at the reasonable table price of between $650-$850. Otherwise, you will be paying a premium from a third party dealer of between $900 to $3000 depending on the knife in question. In fact for some of the rarer customs the prices will skyrocket beyond that upper limit I just mentioned. One day I will win a lottery custom...and I will be ecstatic. =)

my Emerson CQC-7B w/ the wave feature.

I am a BIG fan of Emerson Knives. The trademark design of the "wave shape feature" is such a simple design yet HIGHLY effective in rapid deployment. My first Emerson knife was the infamous CQC-7B with the wave feature and I am happy to say that I will not go anywhere without this knife. It could very well be the last brand/model/style knife that I will ever own. Their knives are impeccably sharp and the rapid deployment of the knives with the wave feature is none comparable. You literally pull the knife out of your pocket and as it is retracted.. the knife's wave feature catches the edge of your pocket and unfolds open in one swift action allowing the user to be at the ready in a moment's notice. In the time it takes someone to rapidly deploy a standard folding knife.. the Emerson knives with the wave feature can be deployed in less than half the time. The knives are solid, durable and simple in design. A lot of military, law enforcement and government agencies are being turned on to the Emerson knives with the wave feature simply because of how great a knife it is. The joint in the knife has a smooth and fluid action when being opened.. the locking mechanism is a butterfly-style lock made of aerospace grade titanium (which I'm usually not a big fan of butterfly-locks, but the ones used in Emerson knives are very solid and have no play when fully locked open -- which I am satisfied with). The grip is a simple flat textured G-10 epoxy/glass laminate that's highly resistant to scratching and damage. The knife is overall fairly light-weight but has a very solid feel to it. The blade itself has no play on the vertical or horizontal plane when completely folded, locked open, or partially open. I couldn't be happier with a pocket-sized folding knife. Although the price tag is a little high for your average folding knife.. it is WELL worth the $. It has become one of the best investments I have ever made for a knife.. and the most important tool in survival gear and general use.

    My new mini roadhouse.

After me and my husband were in Los Angeles we realize we had some time to kill and since my husband collects and uses knives we decided we had to go and purchase a knife directly from Emerson. It's quite embarrassing to say that we collect knives however this was our fist Emerson, originally my husband wanted a cqc-7 but when he saw this od green roadhouse he had to have it! The knife itself is FANTASTIC! Feels good in his hands and looks and feels extremely durable, you can definitely see the quality, the g10 is very grippy, the waive feature works like a dream, faster than an auto. We would've loved to meet Mr Emerson, however he is hopefully enjoying his vacation. Prior to purchasing this knife my husband did read about Mr Emerson and we both truly admire him and his work! We could not have been happier and we will surely add more Emersons to our collection.

Awesome guys here. I came in for a sharpening and they had it done it ASAP. I have a combat karambit and it is razor sharp again. I carry it religiously. It's a beautiful knife and it works flawlessly.

As he went through the paperwork validation, he said he can see if he can find more information on it for me. He went to the back and also looked at a list on the board and searched on his computer. He looked up and told me that he found it and could order it for me. I immediately jumped on it since I was looking for it for a while. I finished up my pickup, paid for the additional ammo Joseph suggested and went to deposit on the firearm. Samantha was helpful both times I went in and always greets everyone as they come in when she's working. Fast forward to pickup day, Derek helped me out and went through the pickup process fast and was very knowledgeable and friendly. Before I left he offered me related items, but I had everything I needed from my previous visit. Overall I had a great purchasing experience and their level of service is the reason I go back to this specific location. Prices are always good and the elevated level of service adds more value than other big box retailers. Definitely recommend this location and these three individuals for all your needs from Turners.

While he was deciding and waiting for his turn, the clerks behind the firearm counter were speaking very loudly about "day drinking" and hoping to clock out in time for happy hour later that evening. One individual in particular (bald/sparse hair with glasses, someone I had not seen there before) seemed especially vocal about it. Hearing employees openly joke and talk about being intoxicated while working behind a firearm counter immediately raised serious concerns for me. Firearms require a high level of responsibility, awareness, and professionalism, and hearing staff casually discuss drinking while actively assisting customers was alarming. What made it worse was how loud and proud the conversation was. They were laughing and hyping each other up about drinking while customers were standing right in front of them. Whether they were joking or not, it reflects extremely poor judgment and creates a very bad look for a business that sells and handles firearms. It gives the impression that safety and professionalism are not being taken seriously. In an environment where safety should be the absolute priority, hearing employees casually talk and laugh about drinking while surrounded by firearms is incredibly concerning and completely unprofessional.

This store is huge and had a lot of merchandise for different sports. There were 2 floors and we were assisted by a friendly associate who pulled our online order. We assumed the item might've sold out, no longer in stock, or just bad inventory all around. We decided to go in the store to get what we needed. We asked the cashier what happened with our order and he had no idea. We asked if they had it in stock or if another location had it. They went to check and luckily there was one Betts Jersey left in my size. We also signed up to get $20 off purchases of $100 or more. We did all that at the store and when it came to checking out, it turns out the coupon wasn't available until after a few days or something. We ended paying full price, no problem. The manager explained to us, if we wanted, we could bring the jersey back and repurchase after we got the coupon to get that $20 back. I didn't get the coupon until a week later which was to expire in 2 days. I went back to the store with the coupon forgetting that the $20 was actually NOT a free $20 off anything. It was $20 off ANOTHER purchase for $100+. So basically, a trick to get you to buy more, which I didn't end up using. The coupon wasn't quite clear and tricky to be honest. Beware of those marketing schemes and ads you see online or in store! The only upside was that the staff were very understanding and helpful. We went back looking for another shirt but they didn't have it in stock and they were nice enough to call the El Segundo location to hold the item for us. We went to that location, picked up the item easily, and there were no issues. Just keep an eye on the sales and ads -- and know what you're really getting. Another suggestion for this store is to keep better inventory. There had a ton of the same stuff but limited in other areas.
