It was a quiet Thursday afternoon and the cashier was able to meet with me right away to discuss my jewelry. She showed it to the jeweler, Mark, who was able to determine that the old clasp could be easily removed and replaced with a nearly identical clasp of the same sterling silver. He did the entire process in less than 5 minutes and the whole repair cost a very reasonable $10. This necklace has a great deal of sentimental value and I was thrilled to have it fixed with such speed and professionalism. I'll be sure to recommend Nulton to anyone who needs jewelry repaired. This time we went for Tungsten, which allegedly is hypoallergenic. My hubby's profession requires an inane amount of hand-washing so we are hoping he will have less of a reaction to soap buildup on his finger. He's worn it for a week and loves it equally. The staff at The Source is professional and kind. I wish they were a little more welcoming, and had a bit more enthusiasm, but that's somewhat trivial. They are typically older than those that are found at the mall jeweler's, which makes me feel like they have more experience and knowledge. It appears that they have a much longer turnover rate, so you may see the same employee -- even if you haven't visited in a while. I believe the prices to be reasonable and feel that's due in part to location: they're not paying the high mall rents. They are also not spending large amounts on flashy advertising campaigns. And again, I cannot overemphasize this enough: it's a locally-owned business! Gotta support the little guy whenever we can, but especially when they sell quality merchandise at an affordable price.

Jerry was the son of an Italian watchmaker who has been formally trained in both Switzerland and Italy. I've had multiple watches services here, and now I have friends from metro areas sending me watches for Jerry to service. He completely overhauled the movement on a 1999 Rolex while keeping the vintage feel. My friend says it runs better than it did buying it in 1999. Jerry used to be an authorized dealer for many great watch houses. He restored the Chronometer back to its COSC certification at a fraction of the cost of what Rolex would charge. Currently he's working in an Omega for a friend from Miami. He can just as easily repair Seiko movements as well as Citizen. I've bought jewelry here to and always felt like I got a fair price from people I consider as much friends as well as merchants and craftsmen.

I had come in to receive a service, and he was huffing and puffing when he took a look at how much it was going to be and kept making comments about how it's going to be expensive with the amount of stones on my band. He offered me a discount, which I very much appreciated. I had thanked him and explained to him that my family had been coming to this place for years to which he responded, "yeah but you didn't buy the ring from us". There were some other comments made, but I didn't process what had happened to me in the store until I got into my car. After talking to my parents and friends, I realized this was not acceptable behavior. The other man that had walked up to me was very sweet, but my experience as a whole sucked.
