Oh Dado how I miss you on Park Avenue, now I must drive all the way to Pittsford to visit you!…read more Dado Boutique is a trendy little boutique located at the intersection of Clover and Monroe avenue in PIttsford and though its no longer just steps away it still has the same charm it did when it first opened. Owner Dalida Atallah has really brought something special to Rochester with Dado. One trip to her store and you will understand her aesthetic, the girl has impeccable taste. If that's not enough the store is impossibly clean with each of the garments hung perfectly spaced apart while center tables hold accessories. A type A personality who understands the importance of presentation? Whats not to like?! Be warned: Though Dado is just minutes down the street from Marshalls and TJ Maxx, it is expensive. The store carries high end brands like Elizabeth & James and more popular brands like French Connection but don't let that scare you away, Atallah has great sales (Up to 30% off) often so its worth a visit. Perhaps some holiday money could buy you a fabulous New Years Eve dress. It's possible you've gotten a glimpse of what Dado has to offer if you've attended any of the local fashion shows. Most recently a Dado show raised over $100,000 for the Wilmot Cancer Center. A small business helping a local charity makes my 8 minute drive to Pittsford worth while. Dado is fashion and class all rolled in to one.

The store has made a pandemic-inspired switch from monochromatic going out and professional clothes to a more varied gifts, wearables, and home goods boutique! I absolutely adored Salty 1.0 and am even more in love with Salty 2.0. I stopped in over the weekend and grabbed two adorable dresses, a makeup case with butts all over it, and a nice "at-home and chillin" sweater. The price point for many items has come down, and I am confident you will continue to find literally anything you're looking for here. The cute shoes and jewelry wall are still here, and there's now space for local maker popups and more! Quirky candles, fun and upscale gifts, pillows, glassware, all take up the park ave-facing side of the store. Same staff still crazy helpful and there to help make the experience fun. So far, I've picked up a couple high-waisted skirts (one navy velvet patterned, the other black lace), both $89. They were running a sale that day so I ended up getting up to 40% off. They only supply a few versions/sizes of each piece, which is nice since it feels like you're getting a one-of-a-kind piece. The space is attached to Thimble Tailor so during busy hours (post-work) the changing room can get crowded with folks trying on their own clothes to get tailored and others trying on clothes from the boutique as there are only four changing rooms. It wasn't bad, just some people had to wait. Most of the brands were new to me, but Fatima hand picks what's featured in the store so I trust. Also, they're beautiful, quality made clothes so it's nice to add some newbie items to my wardrobe. It's a lot of gorgeous flowy tops, knit sweaters, great tailored jeans/pants, patterned skirts and dresses. A good mix of classic, but trendy items plus some professional wear, along with jewelry, clutches, and handbags.
