I walked by Statement with my pup the other day and was so wishing I could stop in and take a look at some of the gorgeous jumpsuits, accessories, and goodies they have out! Statement is an incredible boutique located in the heart of Park Ave. I have purchased my favorite sunglasses ($10!) and my favorite jumpsuit from this trendy storefront. They are still posting on social and selling goods via call, text, and social media! Just write in if you see something you like at this time, and they will ship or deliver for FREE! Such an amazing service. This is one of those businesses I am just fired up about returning to once this chaos has ended. I always feel so welcomed when I come in here and always find something beautiful to take home with me. Even the way the store is laid out brings me joy! Courtney is so wonderful and great about giving honest opinions on what works and what doesn't. The dress came and is perfect! Length is just what I wanted.. I'm 5'2 for reference and it hits lower calf ... the bust is also perfect.. I'm about 42 around and it fits and flows nicely. The material is very nice. I was thinking it was more toward denim... but this is very stretchy is a flowy way NOT clingy..n9t at all heavy like pur denim would be. So excited to see this boutique on Park Ave. Courtney (formerly of Thread) opened this spot with Ashley (Knotty Owl). Always love to catch up and chat with Courtney while shopping! She's great about recommending cute options to try on. I picked up a gorgeous leather bracelet by Carrie George (local) for a gift. I also found the perfect summer tank (Michelle by Comune brand) and a cute peach bralet (Anemone), one of my faves because they're comfy, lacy, and look nice under any top. The rompers are adorable, as are the accessories. They have menswear too. They regularly update their inventory and I keep tabs on their Instagram feed for the latest items they have in stock. My favorite retail store, Thread, shut down this past summer and it made me so sad. However, you will be excited to know that Courtney, who used to run it, now has opened up her own shop on Park Ave! I went in for the first time today and was assured Courtney brought her great sense of fashion with her. A few girls were in the changing rooms and one came out wearing the most fabulous army green wool-ish trench coat. She of course bought it, and I was very jealous because it was the last one. Much like Thread, they only have a few of each item so the inventory moves quickly and is then replenished with new items. Courtney told me she was headed off to Vegas this weekend for a retail convention and would be stocking up on new Spring and Summer clothes. I personally love that because I like to shop regularly and there are only so many boutique stores here in town. The store had a good mix of fashionable clothing, jewelry and some home goods, stationary products. I picked up a cute pair of leggings for $7 and a fun color blocked top and will be sure to head back in a few weeks to see what else has come in! read more

Statement really brings it. While primarily a Woman's clothing store, there is some Men's clothing. There's also some finely crafted jewelry there from their in house jeweler, The Knotty Owl. If you're not in the know, go check her out! Courtney was a force to be reckoned with at Thread, and she's back at Statement. I have no background on the owner or whatever he or she owned before. It's a cute store off Oxford on Park Ave. others have said they carry larger sizes which I think is great. Can't just have 2,4,6,8 not all sizes read the same on others. They have cute cards, carry Voluspa Candles and have other interesting accessories and cool fashion forward prints. I think it's a cool store but I think certain items are a bit high. A turtleneck top is over $50? A one piece printed sleeveless pant suit is $130? Ok I'm down with supporting local and what not but I can't in good conscience spend that much. Certain things I have no issue spend $$. Sorry can all blast me.. I'm sure you can find something really cool for you and I saw they have a sale rack. Unfortunately for me I've been here a few times and not bought a thing. I'll come back again to check them out. The staff is friendly and helpful that's a plus. I don't doubt they will do well. I think a lot of people may not know about this place and that may be an issue?
