Following a big lunch, the mission here was a beer, football and a light dinner. This might be a tainted review as it wasn't a full meal. But it was good. Drink: Sam Adams Draught Oktoberfest. I wish I had room for two. View: College football, UGA vs. Old Miss. Food: A surprisingly large wedge salad with a cup of excellent gumbo. The salad was fresh with just about everything, including half a hard-boiled egg and avocado slice. Only complaint: more of both. Plenty of everything else. Service: excellent. Ambiance, too. Price: probably $50 for a non meal meal (with tip) but very good. read more

I was recently in the area and quite hungry. I was really craving a big steak, but I saw Emeril's Coastal, and I thought "I've really wanted to try this place." I'm sure you're thinking, big mistake. This is probably the sort of place that you would see a lot of vacant plate. But no indeed!! This place did not disappoint. The service was excellent, the entrees are very well prepared and beautifully plated and seasoned. I hade the baked oyster appetizer followed by an andouille crusted redfish. The serving was huge and excellently prepared. The restaurant has indoor and a beautiful outdoor serving area with a great coastal casual atmosphere. Well done folks. I can't imagine you being disappointed here. read more

If you come to Emerils get the fried chicken! Fried perfectly and a huge portion served with 3 biscuits. The hamburger is juicy and everything on the burger makes it great. The cocktails and charcuterie were average and not worth the price. The service was great, and they were highly attentive. Try to sit inside if you can as the porch gets extremely sunny when the sunsets! read more

What a beautiful place! Elegant yet casual. Loved the open kitchen concept seeing it in "action" second time coming but it's been a while. Got an early reservation for the high top bar area which was fine, we are able to watch our college baseball game while enjoying a fabulous meal! Started with the cornbread appetizer, omg it was amazing a must have to start! And we both ordered the Redfish with a gravy of sorts (I can't remember), but it was delicious as well! Definitely a place to try if your in the area read more

Tiramisu cake was good. Nice portion size you could share. Staff were great. AMC is right next door so perfect for dinner and a movie. We made reservations but had to wait a few minutes. Not much. When we got to the table, the chairs were and table were wet (it was folded in half but the under side was still wet to the touch). The floor was filthy so we had to ask staff to assist. I thought they would get a broom but they grabbed a towel. Hey whatever does the job. read more

I had no idea who this guy was until I heard about this place and im glad I did. Emeril's is incredible. From the atmosphere of beautiful interior design with wall pieces and art around. To the open kitchen and fresh fish visible to the dinning room and upbeat music to tie it all in just sets the mood for delicious dishes that await. The service here was great and able to seat us without reservations (I recommend) and were tentative to the table. We had a party of 4. Now why you're really here, the food is absolutely fire here. Seafood in florida can old quick but Emeril's flips the script on my tastebuds with some of well prepared dishes. The upside down pineapple cornbread is something I could eat every week, you have to at least try it. We also had the BBQ Shrimp that I really enjoyed but the sauce wasn't entirely there for me. My wife had a Ceaser Salad which was one of the best she's had. Our mains consisted of 3 Fresh Catches, 2 Mahi's and 1 RedFish with crab added on the side, everything was delicious and nothing was left after. My wife had the stuffed shells which she really enjoyed. Whether you planning a nice date, celebrating an occasion or just want a some good food Emeril's the place to go. Oh and the drinks here look amazing, maybe next time. read more

Tuna poke bowl was sooooo good!!! We came in here pretty late on a Friday and the service was a little slow but understandable for a beach restaurant that was packed!! We all really enjoyed our meals. The appetizers were good- fish dip was amazing! We had a group of 8 and a baby and had a great time. Place is a little full of tables so hard to move around with a stroller but we made it work! read more

We came to Destin to celebrate a friends birthday and she chose Emeril's as she wanted a classy restaurant with a nice ambiance for Sunday night! I was very pleased with the restaurant and the staff made the experience even better! Everybody ordered a little bit of everything (Stuffed Shells, Steaks , Seafood platter) and everybody enjoyed their meal! The service was 10/10. The staff were very friendly and the chef came out to greet us and wish our friend a Happy Birthday! The waitress even met my friends request for skittles as his dessert (Total Jokester) LOL. I'd definitely visit again. Some items were ok like the gumbo however other items were amazing like the Stuffed Shells! This was very saucy/tasty and served in a Sheek All Clad pan. I'd recommend this restaurant for sure! read more

It hurts me a little to give this place 3 stars because I love Emeril (the chef). But I went this past weekend and while service and ambiance is all fine, the food is where I'm rating. We always go to Tommy bahama whenever we are in Destin area. Their food is always on point and service is usually great. It's rare for a restaurant to always deliver, but Tommy bahama had done that for us. So we can't help but to compare since it's right in the same shopping center with a very similar price point. We are a big family so we ordered many things across the menu. The oyster and crab claw app was good. The crab soup had good broth but was missing something. Gumbo was something I would have really liked at Emeril's!! Though it wasn't terrible, it also wasn't very good... it was discouraging since I knew his style of food to be creole. Do not get the sushi bowl if you are Asian or if that's your go to usually. The rice was ice cold and overcooked. The fish was fresh, but flavor was lacking, fettuccini Nero was good! Probably the best flavor we had that evening, but was overly salty. (And I like salt!). Fish and chips was also good, but for me it was lacking in the dipping. I prefer a good home made tartar sauce, and not flavored aioli. We usually finish our meal by ordering a few dessert for the table, but we decided not to because the meal was mediocre. I hate leaving a negative review but since our meal at Tommy bahama (with drinks and everything) was slightly less than our meal at Emeril's: with two from our party missing that night, I thought I'd leave a review for someone wondering about this restaurant. read more

I'm in Destin this week for work and I had heard this place was good, plus it's pretty cool that Emeril drops by now and then too, so I checked it out tonight by myself. Very good phone customer service: I tried to make a reservation online and you can't, for just one person. I made one for 2 people for 615pm, and only the patio was available; when I called, they were able to switch me to indoors, which I appreciated. I ordered: -rum cocktail: tasty and came in a tiki glass. However, it took a while for them to bring it to me. -8-oz. filet, medium rare: I asked the waiter which he suggested, between this and the pork chops, and he actually suggested the pork chops, but I was craving steak. It was very good, with a nice char, but unfortunately was more rare vs. medium rare. It came with mashed potatoes, which were also very good, and string beans, but I subbed Brussels sprouts with bacon (at no charge). It was too bacon-y for me so I wasn't a fan. I gave my waiter my credit card before the bill was brought and then I noticed an "A&E tax" on it, for about $1.50 on a $74 bill. I later Googled it and it's an arts and entertainment tax and I BELIEVE can be waived, I'd you ask. Overall I'd come back here but might try the pork chops or fried chicken, the chicken comes with a rosemary biscuit and sounded good. Dessert menu also looked good but I was full and also I have some flan in my hotel fridge to finish. read more

Let us get the elephant in the room stated. This place is very expensive for what you get. That said, it is stall a good place for a special dining experience. Service: Very good but could have been better at the end of the meal. I wanted Keylime Pie and a cup of coffee. I had to ask twice for my coffee and the pie was gone when the coffee arrived. Not a big thing but is was notice able. Ambiance: I loved the way this place felt and looked. Almost like you were not in Destin, FL. A complement to the designer. Well Done. Food: Hit and miss. The baked Oysters were GREAT. The upside down cornbread was a miss. Mushroom Soup was one of the best things I have ever had. It came with bread and that was for dipping. OUTSTANDING. The Main courses were mostly good, not great. The Poke bowls was average, my Fish and Chips was good but my daughters shrimp dish over paste was awful. She did not eat it and the server did not ask if she liked it. I usually say it was not good while at the place but my family would not let me do it. If this was just an average place, at an average investment I would have given it a four star. But this is a high-end place with very fancy prices. That leads to a three star. Eat well, drink well and enjoy life. read more

Long day at an intense and extremely informative net worth lecture by Jay Greier from the Scheduling Institute. The conference was held at Sandestin Beach and Golf Resort in Miramar Beach in Florida. Emeril's Coastal was around the corner and I've to his Vegas restaurant. Reservations are suggested and I elected to grab a seat at the bar. The restaurant was not busy, but it was 5:00 on a Saturday afternoon. The decor is nicely done and they had a ton of staff. I ordered the BBQ shrimp with a muffin and an order of fries. The food was delivered quickly and had a decent presentation. The french fries were good but needed salt. The shrimp had a nice sauce but only four shrimp for $24. The food was good but not remarkable. It is hard to judge as it was more of a snack than a meal. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt with a 4 rating. I will stop back to try a full meal as other dinners seemed to be enjoying their meal. read more

Ugh, I wanted to think this was better than the reviews, but it wasn't a good meal. The place is adorable and service was fine, but the food really wasn't good. The barbecue shrimp and wedge salad were so salty, they puckered my mouth. Nobody is testing this food before it leaves the kitchen. Crab fritters were almost black, so overdone. Should not have been served. Hubs and daughter liked their pasta dishes, I thought they were both too salty also. Disappointing. read more

The restaurant is so beautiful. So impressed when I walked in. Unfortunately, that was the high point of my experience. My food was okay. Small whole fish was good, and seasoned vegetables were good. By my other party's food..... Not good. Stay away from the lobster pasta dish.... not good and smells terrible. The pork chop was fine... but nothing more than what you can do at home; grilling of bbq. A couple at the table ordered the catch of the day prepared in the cast iron skillet. It wasn't cooked in cast iron, just on the grill; you can see the grill marks Usually, I find Yelpers too critical, but I think they got the correct rating for this restaurant. The service was poor; I wanted extra salad dressing for my salad. Sat there not eating it, and they never checked on us. When they brought entrees.... Then they asked. Ceaser salad was uninspiring; very little flavor in dressing. read more

If you love brunch and don't mind spending a little bit more for great food I highly recommend Emeril's Coastal. Reservations highly recommended. We got sat near the kitchen which was nice to watch food being prepared and watching it go out as well. The employees were all very friendly and our Brit went above and beyond her job in spending time with us to find out what we like and then provided recommendations based off that. We started with the special crawfish smear w pepper Jack cheese on garlic toast. I'm not a fan of crawfish, but this was so delicious. If you go and you see this special get it and thank me later. I also had the soup to the day and it was so flavorful and had plenty of chicken in it. I got the Muffaletta Salad which brought me back to New Orleans and Muffaletta sandwiches there. Only difference this is a salad, but lacked a lot of taste. My friends got the crab cake Benedict and said it was the best crab cake she's had since we've been here for over 2 months. My other friend got the fried chicken plate which literally could serve 3 people. She will be eating chicken for lunch the next few days. read more

Last minute drop in...they were booked solid but had room at the bar. I didn't realize how expensive the restaurant was but once I got over that shock the food and service were wonderful! Highly recommend for a special night out! The roasted oyster appetizer was outstanding! Biggest oysters I have ever seen and no sand or shell...perfection! We ordered the lobster tails which were uniquely seasoned and grilled perfectly. Had a side of asparagus and again...just delicious! Had a mock blueberry mojito to finish off a great meal. Service was great at the bar! Our bartender Joe was great! read more

Had reservations, but still waited 45 minutes that Friday night..... For a party of 4, we didn't get out first plate until an hour after being seated. The cornmeal fried oysters were inedible; dry and flavorless The snapper and rice was pretty good, but I wasn't hungry anymore after waiting so long. I sampled the plates around the table which included fish and chips, roasted duck buns, and fried chicken and nothing wanted to back my fly home and slap my mama. Everything is overpriced. Very disappointing; shocking when Mr. Lagasse himself is putting in major work in the kitchen..... I still love you Emeril! read more

The staff is amazing and the food was ONPOINT. We got to try a few off menu items along with our regular entree. It was soooo good. Zach the chef did a great job making our experience one of a kind. I absolutely loved the food and the atmosphere. I haven't yelped in a long time but this one was well worth a mention. I had the fried chicken as my entree with mashed potatoes. I asked for Zacks own sea salt and he delivered. The extra sea salt on the mashed potatoes and fried chicken set it off! I'm on vacation but I will be back! 5 stars hands down. Food was not Emeril standard. Was on point with Long John Silvers I see why it's closing in 3 weeks.

This was our second trip to Emeril's. The first time we went, Emeril was in the kitchen. No such luck on this trip, but the food and service were at the same great level. We ordered shrimp cocktail for our starter, and both of orders mains off the daily specials. I had the andouille crusted tile, and my wife had the cast iron grouper. They were both delicious and satisfying. The service was refined without being stuffy, and our server was "Johnny on the spot" when it came to accommodating my wife's dairy restriction. The food was okay. Nothing special. Our server did a good job but everything seemed disjointed. For example, the opening drinks we ordered came after our first course was served. I had the loaded baked potato soup and it was OK. Luke warm and full of fatty chunks of bacon. The Mrs. had a Caesar salad which had more of a pickled flavor than the standard. I had a few bites and it was OK, just didn't taste like what you would expect. I had the stuffed pasta shells in Vodka Sauce. Really good. Would recommend this dish. The Mrs. had the fried seafood platter. It was a generous size but other than the shrimp, everything tasted like breading. We sat outside on a wonderful evening and it was nice and quiet. Perfect for people watching while you eat. Over all, I'm sad to say, Emeril's was not a good value. read more

Our food was fantastic! Being born and raised in New Orleans, I'm very familiar with Emeril's restaurants. This one certainly didn't disappoint. I was impressed with the casual atmosphere and dining choices. Two of us had burgers, one of us had the grouper sandwich, and my hubs had the grilled snapper. For sides we went with fries, sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts. EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS!!!! My burger was over-the-top yummy. I had a taste of each of the sides and the other entrees. Was able to make a reservation online which is always a nice perk however we ended up arriving almost 30min early and they were easily able to accommodate us. We sat outside on the covered patio where they had plenty of fans. We started off with rosemary garlic biscuits which are more like the size of tea biscuits but they were delicious. The pork chop was very thick and still super moist which is tough to do! Good sauce on it. The shrimp scampi was good. Had a wedge salad with it that was simple but good.
