Where do I begin.......
The team originally set out to take care of an ice dam that was causing some leaking in our house. To their credit they did come out and handle it, but it didn't solve the leaking in our house.
I was told (by one of their guys who came in our house not wearing a mask, btw...only saying this because they say they "adhere to COVID protocol...") that all they'd need to do is patch up an area of flashing and that should handle it.
Okay.
Several days later they finally come back and patch the spot up and are done with the work in less than an hour. Seems incredibly q but okay...there's no leaking so must be okay.
Within 48 hours the leak is back in the same spot and noticeably worse. I reach out to them about it and I am told "sorry we can't do it I'm sick in bed" and "the guys are taking a break today." I tell them I would instead just like a refund solely for the patch job and I'll get another company out because we need this done ASAP. I receive a response via text that yes, they will refund me the money minus the cost of materials which I say is fine.
Now, nearly three weeks later, I'm still waiting on the refund after several conversations with them via text and over the phone. I was told four days ago "I have the money and can get it to you" only then to be told "well we don't have the money." Add on to that that now the phone number they have listed here has mysteriously stopped working and their website is mysteriously down. It sort of makes you think this might all be a shady operation.
I'm kicking myself for hiring these guys, especially because after doing a bit more research, there's a lot out there on their owner (or at least the person we paid), who has had complaints filed against him with the Better Business Bureau. You'll see the name "Sunny Ross" linked to a few roofing operations that are no longer in business.
This could have all been avoided if they were even remotely responsive when I've reached out over the past week. I've been patient and fair, giving them nearly a month to refund what they promised. But providing no time table on when to expect a refund and largely ignoring my messages after promising the refund (in writing no less) has left me in a spot where I need to warn others to do their research. read more
