Go here for drinks before getting dinner at Estelle! They are almost sister restaurants. A lot of their workers have worked at either! Don't be shy. Get the huntress! It's so good and delightfully unexpected! It's definitely very chic! I sat at the bar and talked to the bartenders who clearly know what they are serving up here! I tried the Anne with the E and the pretty in peach. All really good. They also have pretty yummy NA cocktails as well. Try it out!

Emerald Lounge is such a vibe. The space is gorgeous, the staff are friendly, and the cocktails are some of the best in St. Paul. This place is creative, balanced, and just plain fun. Their happy hour is definitely worth planning around. I'd recommend making a reservation or getting there early because it fills up fast (and for good reason). The perfect spot for date night, drinks with friends, or a classy start to the evening.

Unique spot full of character with has a cozy vibe. Oh....the food and service are amazing! First I have to say that the food and drinks are served and plated beautifully! The first drink that we ordered was Anne with an "e". The presentation was beautiful. The drink itself was okay. Expected more flavor so it was a bit on the bland side. We also ordered an Old Fashioned. No complaints, it was done very well. For food, we ordered the Chicken and Risotto and the Rigatoni. I loved the Risotto, creamy and full of flavor. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Also, the portion size was perfect. The Rigatoni was very good. The chorizo was chopped very small so you get subtle morsels of flavor. We finished with the Mexican Hot Chocolate Cake for dessert. Sweet, rich, spicy flavor with a toasted marshmallow on top. Emerald Lounge has a great Happy Hour. Get there early and enjoy the specials from 4-5 Tuesday-Friday. Street parking so it can be a challenge but don't let that deter you. It is worth it!

We made early dinner reservations because the happy hour (3-6, M-F) is an outstanding value. A bottle of wine, already reasonably priced, is half off, and paired nicely with our delicious salmon and asparagus salad. For dessert we enjoyed the basil olive oil cake - perfect! Fresh ingredients prepared well in a cozy cocktail room. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. Great meal at a fair price overall.

This place is a gem if you live in St.Paul area this is a must. Its a neighborhood place, which is always a gem, its cozy yet warm. The menu is minimal but what we had was amazing. We started off with the Fall Burata which was incredible. That could be a meal in itself. I had the Shrimp and Grits, the grits were polenta but they were flavorful and the shrimp was excellent. I would get this again. My friend had the Rigatoni which he lived. We both ordered desserts. We both had crème brûlée. They were excellent. I travel for work and will be coming back to this place.

We came here on a date night and had a wonderful experience! The ambiance is quaint, intimate, trendy, and comfortable. We really enjoyed the cocktails and food! Staff were very nice and helpful with menu recommendations. Side street parking was easy to find even on a Friday night.

Small Lounge with nice variety of mixed drinks. The food was great. I had the Curry Chicken with Lemongrass Risotto and will get that again after exploring some of the other selections.

We had a great experience at the emerald lounge! Vinny the bartender provided excellent customer service and owner Molly was welcoming as soon as we walked in the door. Server Sydney stopped over to say hi, even though we weren't her table, such a sign of great service. The drinks served were amazing. I highly recommend asking the bartender for their recommendations based on your preferences. Intelligent service and kind people! The place could not be more beautiful, very clean, and excellent decorations!

I absolutely adore this cozy little corner pub on West 7th. My friends and I decided to gather for our gift exchange around the holidays, and it was tastefully cheerful without being tacky. For my drink, I tried the seasonal cider, one friend had the Anne with an "e", and I'm not remembering the third drink, but I took a picture! For food, I ordered the salmon and it was absolutely delicious. One of my friends ordered the mussels and noted that they were divine. Our servers were attentive and everything came out in a timely fashion, despite being busy! I'm impressed and will DEFINITELY be coming back.

Very cute place! It is tiny inside but definitely worth the wait, so put your name on the waitlist. I was told it is the same family that owned the coffeeshop next door, Claddagh. They use the same kitchen. We had 6 people total and we sat in the back. We all ordered the same rose drink and it was refreshing, then we later ordered our own drinks. I got my old fashioned, and it was good. I had mussels and the broth was tasty, I ended up taking the leftovers home. Our server was very cool and nice. Service was great! I highly recommend. Street parking.

I love coming to Emerald Lounge. Ambiance is 10/10. I really enjoyed both cocktails I got (Anne with an "e" and Orange Crush). I so appreciated GF being marked on the menu. We got the chips and dips and the shrimp and grits and rotisserie chicken. I can't wait to see what's on the menu next time I'm in town! Definitely recommend this spot

I am obsessed with this little out-of-the-way place that packs a very big punch to my palate and his left a very big impression on my heart. This place is the best for a little late night outing with your special someone or to have great conversation with a friend. From the bar, to the quality of food and drinks to the perfect atmosphere this place cannot be overlooked. You need to get here tonight and have a drink with a friend and enjoy some food as well. I came at night and loved the dark, moody atmosphere that came with it. I will definitely be back!

It's a really cozy moody interior, with *no big lights* aka great low lighting and comfy seating options. When we went, there were just a few other parties there so pretty quiet. I liked that we had a whole corner to ourselves with a sectional couch of sorts and some chairs. They close at 10pm on a Friday night, which felt absurdly early for a cocktail bar. But, we were able to order and drink one drink during the ~45 minutes we had. They closed up shop promptly at 10pm. They had a classics and a "rumors" section of the menu. I didn't think the signature drinks were overly unique, with classics like Paper Plane making that menu side. I had a pomegranate mojito which was good! Consensus was that the cocktails were good not exceptional, especially for the $16-17 price point. We ordered churros for the table which were a table favorite! I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but we enjoyed our time and could see this being a good option if you lived in the neighborhood and don't mind the early close hours.

It is in the Mac-Groveland neighborhood so there is ample street parking nearby if you turn on any of the side streets. The restaurant does get busy at dinner, so I recommend making a reservation ahead of time. They have many unique options for cocktails and mocktails. I opted for the Slaychel which is a non-alcoholic beverage that I think of as an elevated mimosa. It is fruity, slightly tart, and delicious! The service was great! Our water was frequently refilled and never got empty, and our server asked about any allergies and dietary restrictions before we ordered. They were able to modify menu items to fit the different dietary restrictions! Two people in our party (including myself) are vegetarians and one member is gluten-free and also doesn't consume much dairy or eggs. They were able to serve the patatas bravas with the egg on the side and the grilled asparagus with the egg and cheese on the side so we were able to all share the starters. The patatas bravas were wonderful! The potatoes are perfectly crispy but still fluffy. The tomato sauce was slightly smokey and had a very slight kick (think Minnesota spice) and it balanced out well with the creamy tomato. If you're only going to try one appetizer, this is the one to try! The asparagus was also nice. The salsa verde had a slight kick (a bit more than the tomato sauce from the patatas bravas, but not super spicy. Still Minnesota level of spice). The shallots also added a nice crispy texture to the dish! The egg really stood out in this dish, with its runny yolk and batter coating. There were a lot of nice elements and textures. As for pastas, I split the Spaghetti and Radiatore with a friend. The Radiatore was nutty and tangy, and the serving size was generous. I enjoyed it, but I would order the Spaghetti over it any day! I don't even know how to describe the Spaghetti and do it justice. It was creamy, cheesy, delicious. Our server said it was a staff favorite, and I understand why. If you're looking for a vegetarian option, go with this one!! Even if you aren't a vegetarian, give it a try. It's so classic, and it's done so well. For dessert: they give free churros when you're dining in! They are served warm with a chocolate drizzle. We also ordered the Honey Cake which we enjoyed a lot! The cake itself was light, like a mousse. There was some crunch from the hazelnut praline and honeycomb toffee pieces. It was nutty and sweet but not overly sweet. It was a perfect way to finish off the meal! Estelle was delicious and the service was great! I can't wait to come back!

I went here with my twin sister, her husband, her husbands 2 brothers and one of his brother's fiance who were in town. All are foodies. All wanted to experience a good night out to titillate the tastebuds. For I try to impress upon out of town guests that not everyone in MN is of Scandinavian origin! But I digress... The food is just...awesome! Presentation is completely unique, including flaming drinks, an assortment of vessels for the dishes to accommodate the dish with an interesting flare without compromising ease of consuming or taste. Patatas bravas, tequenos, and rompe colchon were excellent. I mean mouth wateringly amazing. Shrimp in the rompe colchon was cooked PERFECTLY and the balance of the sour leche de tigre and mango made the dish interesting for the palate. Broccolini side dish was also cooked perfectly and the cheese foam gave a unique twist to the side dish. I ordered the bollitos pelones and OH MY GOODNESS. Think huge fried (but not greasy) ball of corn dough (like tamale but grains not so fine) stuffed with braised lamb and swimming in a dark, curry and spiced sauce. It was SOOOO GOOD and nothing like I'd ever had before. I also tried the pasta with rabbit and UMAMI! it was tasty. Also unique flavor that I cannot quite identify and the sauce to meat to pasta ratio was perfect. LOVED this experience and will 10000000% go back!

Our Christmas Eve dinner was special not just for what was on the table, but for how it felt: warm, unhurried service, thoughtful pacing, and an atmosphere that invited you to stay awhile. Our table had the pleasure to indulge in: - Seafood Empanadas: calamari, shrimp, white fish & squid ink. - Rompe Colchón: shrimp ceviche in pineapple-habanero leche de tigre with house-made cassava chips. - Croquetas de Chorizo: potato fritters stuffed with leeks, garlic & chistorra chorizo. - Venezuelan Christmas Dinner: *Hallaca (corn dough filled with pork, beef & chicken wrapped in smoked plantain leaves); *Pernil (slow-cooked pork leg in malta & red wine); *Pan de Jamón (bread with raisins, smoked ham, green olives & cane sugar syrup); *Ensalada de Gallina (chicken salad). - Mochima: Mahi-Mahi stuffed with crab, parmesan & herb crust, sambuca beurre blanc, cilantro oil.
