They have an awesome selection of product across the whole range of options. Flower? Edibles? Shatter? They have it all with a friendly, knowledgeable staff to back it up. Also a nice selection of glassware if you're interested. Prices are competitive, not exceptional. Flower quality is good, customer service is sorely lacking. I left the dispensary up the street because their online order function...didn't -- chronicaly. I'm never going back here. I'll drive 2 more miles to the Res and get treated well and spend a little less on some days a little more on others. Every time you go into a dispensary and tell them what you want they pull out options and suggestions for you to look at. That wasn't the case with this tall blonde budtender here, she was extremely unhelpful. I came in asking for a pack of joints obviously not knowing what their supply and stock looked like. I just want to say that the men inside of this shop were wonderful. They made me feel comfortable at a moment when I was completely on edge. They helped pulled up video footage of the perp and even came out to chat with the cops about the incident and what they saw. Walked into the store today on the morning of my 21st birthday and got turned away. Some bald guy there handed my ID back to me and said "sorry, not today." I asked him why and he said I needed to go receive a temporary license from the DMV. I have over a year left until my vertical license expires and there's no way I'm going to spend money on a new license before I have to. I think this guy was just making up excuses because he didn't believe it was my birthday but why the hell would a minor get a vertical fake ID from Washington state saying they turned 21 the day they showed up at the store! If you're on 6th ave, do yourself a favor and walk 2 more blocks to Mary Mart. They wished me a happy birthday and gave me a 10% discount with no hesitation. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I have a very real drivers liscense from Utah and have shopped at this rec store many times but after my most recent visit I will never return. The doorman Sam at this location made the very wrong assumption that my liscense was a fake (even though it scanned, and checked out with the DLD site, because it is in fact a real ID) and stole my Drivers Liscense. He harassed and threatened me for over two hours until I called the police to get my liscense back. I missed work, and had the manager promise that the owner would call with an apology and explanation. I waited two weeks until I called and had the owner say he was not aware that his doorman had broken the law, and seriously inconvenienced me. My harassment was swept under the rug, Tacoma PD highly recommended I file a civil suit due to the crime of holding me hostage by confiscating (illegally) my State issued Drivers Liscense. Not even an apology from the owner. So incredibly lame and offensive. Here's the deal- even if the prices are nice, if the owner is okay with a customer being threatened, harassed, and their employees breaking the law, its not a good idea to buy from them. This might be one of those Mary spots that everybody talk about going to on the block but only out of novelty and convenience. Their real competition on the ave is just down the block at Mary Mart, a recently renovated club that's still catching up. Overall I was not impressed with the lackadaisical vibes at first. Seemed a little to pretentious for my taste despite dealer pricing and quality. I was able to pick up a few grams here and there from some friendly folks but I can comfortably say they are a great place to stop in while you're trying out everywhere else too. read more

Honestly, I have tried all types of good from all different places so I am always looking for the really good stuff. Emerald has some really good sativa. I happen to be in there I guess the same day as the owner and he was mad cool. He showed me around and recognized that I knew my stuff so he kept it real with me and pointed me in the right direction of what i needed. I tried something called Barry White...no lie...its the ishh. They might be strict on ids a little bit, but that's no different than going out for a drink. I selected Emerald Leaves because I saw several people going into the store and I figured it had to be good...right? When I walked in .....WOW!! They had an amazing selection of buds and edibles that blew my mind. The guy that helped me was very knowledgeable and helpful, he just wasn't just trying to sell me weed.
