It is profoundly disappointing to see such a prime location squandered by a staff that treats a…read moreretail floor like a Police Interrogation Room. Customers seeking peace and a respectful, private experience are instead met with invasive, boundary-crossing questions. When I explicitly refused to disclose my personal plans to an associate ringing me up, they used my shutdown of "no plans" as an invitation to press harder--behavior directly enabled by a manager who dismissed my concerns via email as nothing more than the staff's "many communication styles." It is insulting to be told by this store's manager that I should have to police their employees' behavior by announcing when I am "not in the mood for conversation" just to be left alone. When I pushed back on this toxic excuse, management simply ghosted me, proving they have no interest in professional standards. I am not here to train your staff on basic social decency, nor should any customer have to sacrifice their dignity just to make a purchase. I will be happily driving an extra five minutes to a store with class that respects its patrons; if you value your peace, dignity and privacy, I suggest you do the same. (BTW, The store at this address is called Local Roots when currently searching "cannabis" on Google locally, with signage on the building that reflects it's the current name)

My mom went yesterday to get me a few carts since I can't get out anymore and was there last night and again today. The cart the girl specifically told mom "Oh here you have to get this one" without a choice she bought it because she believed the girl. The flavor that the employee had Mom get is disgusting in the cart was not hitting barely. We called last night and we're told if we come back in we could return it and get something else. Today when Mom came, the manager told her she couldn't exchange it for a different flavor just a different cart. The flavor is honestly disgusting. When I called in the fuel told me that her manager would not change it for anything. I'm not posting to get anything fixed, I'm posting this to say how disappointed I am. I definitely won't be back. Which is definitely sad, the employees have always taken care of me. But this experience was so bad it's ruined it.

I have recommended this shop to friends and family. They all said it has been the best advice that they have received about a cannabis shop. I have followed this shop for years from 6th AVE to their current location. I have always felt very safe in their shop and in the parking lot. When I have asked they have watch me walk to my car and they are ready to help me. I have never needed their help. I recently flew out for my vacation unfortunately TSA confiscated a card and I hope the owner will give me a replacement card. The one star and 2 star reviews are not true. I have been there many times and have never seen complaints such as the ones mentioned. I would never go to any other cannabis shop even if I was paid to do so. A few times I have given House of Cannabis too much money for my purchase and they caught my mistake and gave my money back!

I was then told the money was fake. I explained that I had just withdrawn it from their ATM and had no other cash on me. Staff said they would check the tapes, but later told me the money did not come from their ATM and accused me of bringing fake money with me. They kept the cash, refused to reimburse me or offer any resolution, and then refused to sell me anything. I was told to take my "fake money" elsewhere. The entire interaction was humiliating and deeply distressing. I was treated like I had done something wrong when I hadn't, and I was left with no money and no recourse. This was by far one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I left in tears. A business should have clear procedures and treat people with basic respect, especially in a situation this serious.

I'll be blunt -- this place was a very disappointing first impression…read more I showed up ready to go in, clearly 21 with a valid ID, but was refused entry just because my license was vertical. No explanation, no attempt to understand, no verification beyond the orientation of my ID. Meanwhile, my friend with a horizontal ID was allowed in with no problem. It didn't make any sense and felt arbitrary and unfair. What frustrated me most wasn't even being denied -- it was that they couldn't be bothered to explain why. If you're going to enforce a rule that literally turns people away, the least you could do is communicate what that rule actually is. Instead, I was just left standing there confused and bounced. Service wasn't helpful or accommodating in this situation, and it definitely didn't feel welcoming. If your policy is going to discriminate based on the format of someone's ID rather than their age, that's something customers deserve to know before they make the trip. I get that venues need to check ages, but what happened here felt bureaucratic and unnecessary. Until they explain or fix this policy, I won't be coming back. Would not recommend based on experience.
