Shopping for gym equipment is an expensive undertaking and so glad Daniels knowledge of fitness and machines has made the transactions smooth. And a huge plus for their used cardio equipment. Don't be nervous buying used, Precor takes great care in maintenance or their equipment before selling.

You see, I went in to return a pair of work/tactile boots and some of the workers looked at me a little weird. Aside from that the older gentleman accused me of coming in regularly to return things and this would be the last time I can do this. So, I said in reasonable defense "I have not ever done this, this is only the first time I returned anything at big 5. Anyway, he said well, someone who looks like you keeps doing this. (By the way, I'm a black woman). So he reluctantly does the return and warned him not to judge anyone this way, but he just kept arguing with me. And the other employees were just standing there just simply not caring. I'm writing this review in the hope that NO ONE, especially a person of color has this experience.

There is usually a good amount of employees working but they seem to always be in weird spots, like if you're wanting to look at a gun they usually always have to call someone over to help. Getting help is also sometimes annoying because most of the employees just walk by you because what they were doing was more important than your possible money. One lady stopped because I made eye contact and she made sure what I wanted they had and she checked to see if there was any other styles to choose from for me I think her name was Valerie, she was my cashier as well and was very nice. Buying shoes you seem to not get any help, I noticed two guys that just stood there and didn't even come over to ask if I needed anything. Before leaving because I could not find anything, I checked out the deal section and I noticed a nice pair of shoes that were about 50% lower than the retail cost but the shoe box had no lid because it was ripped off. The employee that briefly answered my question almost made me decide to not take the offer but I did. It just seems that no one wanted to ask me for help and there was plenty of employees to help, what made me happy was the one lady that did help me and the deal I scored on the shoes.
