There's a little pier nearby where people are seen fishing and crabbing, and you can see the ferry arriving and departing. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean with great water pressure in the shower. The room I had offered a partial view of the waterfront and had a cozy gas fireplace. There is also free covered and uncovered parking. BUT I'm also rating the food! There is a complimentary hot breakfast offered with breakfast burritos (and of course salsa, avocado, and hot sauce), scrambled egg, breakfast strata, sausage/bacon, and potatoes. Of course, no breakfast is complete without a waffle maker with both standard batter and a rotating flavored batter. There's also yogurt, breakfast cereal, milk, juice, coffee and tea. There is a huge selection so there's something in it for everyone! And the views are just amazing just from the dining area. I would stay here again!

The Dutch Cup really tries hard to present itself as a nice motel. In all honestly, it's probably the prettiest motel I've ever been to. I'm picky, but my bed was great. -Large room. -Phenomenal location. Location is the only reason why you should really pick this place. -Convenient parking. They have a parking garage attached to the hotel, which is a huge plus especially considering the location. -Nespresso in the room, and in the morning, coffee in the lobby. The lobby coffee isn't very good, but fortunately, there's a great coffee place nearby (Valentina's) and many others with a slightly longer walk (but still short). -They had Top Pot doughnuts in the lobby on Friday & Saturday morning. None on the other days though, but again, there's plenty of places nearby. Negatives: -Customer service from the front desk was middling, at best. I interacted with several different employees during the course of my stay, and none can be described as particularly friendly. I'd loved to have learned more about OAC and how to leverage it during my stay. I'd also would've liked a copy of receipt, but despite saying they'd email me a copy, they never did. -As others have mentioned, the hotel hosts different events and that means it gets loud. -Crowded shared areas (lobby, elevator, etc.) due to the events. They even hosted a formal event in their small lobby, complete with catering and waiters. It was literally shoulder-to-shoulder. -Security isn't great. Guests from the events wandered throughout the hotel. Elevators and corridors with room entrances didn't require keycard access. -Locked staircase from the lobby going up to the rooms. I'm guessing it's locked due to security concerns, but access should be enabled for guests. The elevator is slow, and especially with the events being hosted, it gets busy & is often slower than the taking the stairs up.

ILLEGAL PRACTICES??? The facilities are great but…read moreunfortunately the management is sub par and their policies are vague at best and perhaps illegal at worst. I've been a resident of the park since Oct 2019 when I began working as a nurse in Everett and was there only part of the week so I bought a camper and moved in during the week to have a home away from home...I have a house in Whatcom County. I moved the camper recently to my house because I am leaving on maternity leave and left 2 messages asking for management to call me back confirming they received my message and inquiring about a pro-rated month. I never received a return call so I called a 3rd time and spoke with the new manager today. The new manger Amy was incredibly unprofessional and rude when I informed her that I had moved my camper out on 6/11/22 and requested a pro-rated refund for the remainder of the month that was paid in advance. Her response was that they don't give refunds. When asked if there is any paperwork that their customers are given to review or fill out that states they understand that Lakeside RV does not give refunds her answer was "no, we don't have that information anywhere". This doesn't seem legal and is clearly unprofessional. She said I could go ahead and have my attorney contact her but refused to give me her last name. I can't decide between the Better Business Bureau to help prevent future guests from getting robbed or an attorney I have yet to hire. Perhaps both.

I would not recommend renting from Seattle Vacation Home under any circumstances…read more We booked a home called The Autobahn through Expedia for our family, based on its layout, features, and photos. Just before our trip, the property management company told us the home was suddenly unavailable due to "maintenance issues" and moved us to a different house without our consent. That's where the trouble started. The replacement property was dirty, unsafe, and misrepresented. There were stained carpets, a smelly basement, peeling deck boards, filthy bathtubs, and no AC during a heat wave in Seattle. Many rooms had no way to ventilate safely -- windows were sealed shut or lacked screens. Worse: after visiting the original property we booked, we discovered it hadn't been maintained or prepared for guests in months. It was never going to be available. The "maintenance issue" excuse was a complete fabrication. This was a bait-and-switch, plain and simple. When I tried to address the concerns, the owner was dismissive and condescending, suggesting that we should have "ignored the lower two floors" of the home (which were filthy). He took no responsibility for the condition of the property or the misleading communication. We've documented everything with photos, a timeline, and communication logs, which have been shared with Expedia and will be escalated further if needed. This company may appear professional online, but our experience was the opposite. If you're traveling with your family or expecting a quality rental that matches the listing, look elsewhere.

This is a complex review for a situation that ultimately worked out, but in spite of the company,…read morenot because of them. 48 hours before our arrival, we reached out to the company after struggling to see property details. We realized the property didn't exist. Seattle Vacation Homes was slow to acknowledge that the property "is no longer in their portfolio." To emphasize - they did not proactively communicate this, we had to pull that information out of them. They did offer us an alternative, albeit smaller. We again had to pull really hard for them to offer us fair compensation for their error and the smaller property, but ultimately the did meet our requests. The property itself was overall good, with one exception. One of the bedframes was broken when we arrived. We alerted the company and they said they would send maintenance that day or the next day, but maintenance never showed and the bed frame remained broken the entire time. We never heard a follow up from them about why maintenance never showed. So, if your property exists and you have no issues, this is a pleasant stay. But if something goes wrong, expect Seattle Vacation Homes to be very challenging to work with.

Brookside is the cheapest motel in Monroe at about $300.00 per week. I stayed there for about two months. A good portion of the residents had been there for some time and most all of them were friendly. The room I stayed in was facing the main roadway which was Route 2 and it was noisy from continual traffic. It took a little getting used too. The bathroom was super small and the lighting was not that good. I had to bring in a clip-on light in order to see while I was shaving. The TV was old and the programing was terrible. Internet access was bad so I had to use my hotspot on my iPhone to get internet access on my laptop. I spoke to the manager about it several times but he was unable to do anything about it. I believe it was because the room out front was not close enough to the router. Either way the internet service was poor. If your going to stay here bring your own pillows. The pillows were old and not that good. Also the bedding is not that good. To stay warm I had to use my sleeping bag as a comforter. Please don't get me wrong, you get what you pay for. One good thing is there is a washer/dryer on the premise, coin operated. The best thing about Brookside was the manager and the price. It's possible that some of the units in the middle or back may have been nicer or larger. The gas station next door has good coffee and plenty of convenience food. The motel is located close to everything in Monroe so getting around is easy. While there were drawbacks, I would stay there again.
