Emerald Best Motel in Edmonds was close to where we had family. Plenty of parking spots. Our room was nice with a small kitchen that had a full-size refrigerator, small stove, good size microwave, individual coffee maker with a good amount of cupboard space. The bathroom was an okay size. Counter space was small. Water pressure was good. There were enough towels but shampoo and conditioner were individual packets. Mattress had a soft mattress top. Very comfy. There were only 2 pillows. Air conditioner worked fine. There was a desk and chair with a small tv on top. Noise level from neighbors was fine. They are just horrible people. The rooms Are disgusting. There's more rodents then renters at this place. Seems as though it never got out of the 1970s. God has no problem taking good care of ppl like this. Note: we have dealt with these demonic people for over 5 years and they waited until I was in the hospital and illegally entered the unit (dump) and proceeded to lock out my 78 yr old Mom. Clean, comfortable, quite. Perfect size for a few days stay. Staff was super amazing and didn't bug us during our stay. Very quiet outside not hearing much if any traffic at all. Very hot amazing showers. Close to coffee, gas stations and WinCo. Down side pillows were really hard, bed was a little stiff, and TV was a little on the small side. Outside of that amazing for just renovating and making the rooms better. Will definitely be staying here again. read more

Low grade accomodations at not the huge discounts 1bed left deals cost more then the next 2 higher priced studio 6 that had breakfast included. The so called $100 deposit forced to pay by card turns into $102.50 with card fee and 5-7 day return wait. I pissed I have bills etc overdue, needed a churches help with gas on drive home and phones getting shut off since the checkout return of the hold takes a week business days mind you. Told me 48hrs at checkout. The kids younger then mine. Definitely rip off taking advantage of travelers and the rooms suck. So pissed Im going to investigate a shut down. I have backpacked through Asia, Africa and the Mid-East, so I'm familiar with low cost places to stay. This motel was comparable to cheap places I stayed in India. This appears to be a cheap place to stay, but think twice. It would only fit fine in Bamako, Mali. They simply have no regard for upkeep or attractiveness. If something is broken, they paint over it, patch it, or ignore it. Zero interest in spending money to keep the place nice, as you will see in my photos. The thin walls mean that you'll hear everything going on in the next room, esp. the TV late at night. Before I changed rooms (at midnight) my first room had NOWHERE to hang clothes, so my wedding clothes hung on the back of a chair. The air in the room was almost unbreathable with the air freshener the maids used, but I couldn't use the AC because it was aimed at the bed 5 feet away and made a huge noise. The 99 is in front of the motel and it is BUSY and fairy noisy. In fairness, the guys at the front desk were friendly and helpful. But I hated coming back to this dingy motel and stayed away til late at night so I could try fall asleep and leave in the morning. read more

Stayed here for one night, was given a room on the upper floor of the 2-story building part of the complex. The grounds were tidy and well-lighted, and so was the room, everything worked and we got a free upgrade to 2 beds without even asking. Other guests appeared to be tradesmen, judging from the trucks in the parking lot. While some others appeared whacked-out we did not experience any untoward events, but it appeared as though the door had been kicked in and repaired in the past. read more

I never have had a problem here in any way... But tonight im not sure what the problem was. Maybe the clerk was having a bad night. Idk. But I went to rent a room. And he tells me that they only have 1 room left and that I need a reservation... So I go and proceed to make the reservation and so I thought I was fine... When i go back the clerk was surprised that I had a reservation.. And so he grabs my ID and has me wait... When he comes back he says that the card I had on file wasn't processing my payment. So I tell him im going to pay cash..he tells me I can't pay cash because the reservation having the invalid card. I have been staying at this motel whenever I am in town, which is multiple times a year for over five years, it's unfortunate how I was treated when I paid for a room at 9 in the morning before I even needed to check out at 11. Not less than five minutes later I didn't need to stay the extra night and they wouldn't refund my money, it's a terrible way of doing business, especially for a loyal customer and I will no longer stay at this motel. Absolutely vile!!! Urine stench and water leaks everywhere. The owners showed no concern, simply catered the undesirables.

So, this place has gone thru a renovation. The rooms are nice and the rates are good. Fresh paint, newer furniture, microwaves and fridges in the rooms (others have a full kitchen). No visitors after hours, so it was much more quiet and felt safer than some of the other places on this strip of road. Close to food and convenience-type stores. Groceries within a couple blocks going north or south. Desk is always open for questions or concerns. Decent towels! Free parking! No bugs, weird smells (rooms are non-smoking), good housekeeping. read more
