We just returned from a visit at Treehouse Point, completing a bucket list item. To say it was an…read moreoutstanding experience is putting it mildly! It was the highlight of our road trip! When we arrived at Treehouse Point, everybody was so professional and kind! We were given a quick tour of all of the amenities in the lodge and other community areas. Then, we were directed to our tree house, Ananda. Just wow! It was cozy as well as spacious, and it was very well appointed with everything we could possibly need! Even though there were other tree houses around ours, we ALL enjoyed total privacy. A great deal of attention has been made in creating personal experiences while still tending to developing a very unique community. All building materials in our treehouse were the best quality available, and the workmanship is second to none! We walked around the grounds, being respectful of others' privacy. Every tree house was unique and beautiful! We then took the trail down to the Raging River. It was beautiful, but our spring has been unusually dry, and the river a little thirsty. Overnight, a rainstorm came through the area. The sound coming from a refreshed river the next morning was breathtaking! I wanted to wake up so I could experience it all, but instead I slept through it. I guess I slept comfortably! (And I am not young.) The bath houses were beautiful and felt like individual spa rooms. They were supplied with wonderful bath products, and the shower offered a pampering experience. Similarly, special products and amenities were provided in our private unit, including coffee and tea. We were going to wash our few dishes, but no dish soap was found, further demonstrating Treehouse Point's intent to pamper their guests. After waking up in the trees, we prepared our own mugs of coffee, tea, and nibbles. After a peaceful start to the day, we made our way to the lodge for breakfast (feeding the fish along the way). Our own breakfast was absolutely wonderful! The chef and souz chef prepared several wonderful dishes. The selections and quality of preparation were both outstanding! Our visit was so wonderful that we truly didn't want to leave! We made the visit to fulfill a bucket list item, but we are already talking about returning again, this time with friends. I could go on and share more, but I want you to delight in your own experience, just as we had. If you've been considering a visit to Treehouse Point, wait no longer. You will never regret it!

I truly can't say enough wonderful things about TreeHouse Point. Our first stay felt like stepping…read moreinto a storybook. Sleeping in a beautifully crafted treehouse, surrounded by towering evergreens and the peaceful sounds of nature, was pure magic. It's such a cool and unique experience -- cozy, serene, and unlike any traditional hotel stay. One of my favorite memories is making s'mores by the fire and enjoying them beside the running river. We loved it so much that we booked another visit -- but unfortunately, we ran into an unexpected childcare situation that meant we had to cancel. It was incredibly disappointing and honestly very inconvenient. We had been so excited to return, and having to change plans at the last minute was stressful. That's where Abbey Rodriguez truly shined. She was so gracious, kind, and understanding throughout the entire situation. Instead of making us feel like we were causing a problem, she stepped in immediately, handled everything with compassion and professionalism, and made what could have been a frustrating experience feel manageable and supported. Her warmth and willingness to help turned a difficult moment into one that actually deepened our appreciation for TreeHouse Point. Exceptional places are special -- but exceptional people make them unforgettable. Abbey's graciousness and care showed us that TreeHouse Point isn't just magical because of the treehouses and the forest (though those are amazing!) -- it's magical because of the heart behind it. We are so happy with TreeHouse Point and so grateful for the way we were treated. We absolutely plan to visit again soon -- and next time, we can't wait to be back in the trees where the magic began.

I can't say it enough, this is one inn you dont want to skip if you're even on the Olympic Peninsula. and wonderful staff will have you feeling like a VIP. The common area is beautifully and stylishly furnished. They will supply you with clean, warm blankets to snuggle up to as you sit by the fire pit for Happy hour, which takes place every afternoon. The breakfasts are very tasty, and it's clear that great pride goes into their preparation and presentation! And might I say the garden area overlooking the sea is a slice of paradise. The grounds are lush and private enough that you're not running into other guests very often. The hubby and I loved the Lavender suite, which has a great view of the garden and sea. The bath was spacious and upscale as well. If you need ideas and suggestions for how to explore Olympic National Park, just ask. You won't be disappointed with the recommendations you receive. Yes, you will pay more than you might at a local hotel. But the experience here at Colette's makes it worth every penny. Don't ever change!

Would have gotten 5 stars except for the following; 1. Each time you come or go you have to get out of your car and manually open/close the gate. For what they charge for rooms they should have an electric gate and give people the code. 2. Breakfast is only served at 9AM, and often you want to get out early to beat the crowds to hiking/scenic places. 3. The ice machine has been broken for quite some time, so if you want ice later in the evening you need to hope the house manager is around. Otherwise it is a wonderful place to stay.

Ashlyn is not only an amazing host, but also a fantastic chef and lovely interior designer. Inside the main house are two rooms for adults to rent, and there's another house/mother-in-law nextdoor that is for families, but it's not a bed and breakfast. Our room was the photography room, which had her old photography equipment and books. There was also an attached full bathroom. She even had cookies on the nightstand. I can't quite recall the other room, but I feel like it was somewhat floral/antique?? with a large tub in the room. We visited a couple years ago, mind you, so I might be wrong. We wandered the gorgeous property, saw the chickens and other animals, hung out on the porch swing, and the best of all was meeting her dog! It was a gorrrrgeous golden retriever that had the reddest fur that I've ever seen on a dog. Ashlyn was great to talk to, and we'd love to stay there again. Oh, and the breakfast was amazing!

Ahh, Whispering Firs. A tale of two sides, if there ever was one. My wife and I stayed here…read morerecently and had some very good experiences and thoughts...but also had some very negative things as well. We had originally booked two nights, but because of the negatives we ended up staying just the first night and checked-out early. Here's the tale of the tape: The Good: - Linda and Vic (the innkeepers) are very nice. Extremely friendly and easy to talk to, Linda made us feel at home straightaway and was great company and conversation during breakfast. - Speaking of, the food was really good. We had blueberry cream cheese pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs for breakfast. Along side juice, fruit, and coffee/tea. Linda was also very accommodating toward dietary concerns too. - The property and view is gorgeous! Located up on a mountain area, Whispering Firs overlooks the valley and you can even see the Sound and Whidbey Island. - The house itself is warm, comfortable, and inviting. There's a beautiful deck on the backside that it multi-tiered and has a walking path around little ponds. This would be great for entertaining and lounging. The Bad: - To get there, you have to drive up a half-mile gravel road that is full of potholes and bumps. It's narrow and not something that a regular car can navigate quickly. Wish we had a 4x4 vehicle. - The bed in our room (the North Suite) was way too high. It sounds weird to say that, but at roughly 3 feet high, it was a struggle for my 8 month pregnant wife to literally climb in and out of. - There were no curtains on the windows...just blinds that didn't block out all of the light and sight lines. So, there was a big lack of privacy seeing as the windows looked out onto the deck. - This room is located right next to the breakfast room, so it is extremely loud in the mornings. Breakfast is normally served at 8:30, but our morning had a group that wanted to eat at 7:00. That meant at 6:30 things got rolling on the other side of the wall and we heard it all. Neither Good nor Bad, Just Depends on You Point of View: - There is a large collection of stuffed animals (the taxidermy type) throughout the house and bedrooms. A hunter's paradise...so may not be up your alley. All in all, this could be a lovely place to stay; but it just didn't suite us and fit our needs. For someone else, it might be perfect. In this review, I'm simply wanting you to be better informed that I was. Hope it helps.

Located on a bluff above Eagle Harbor, there is ample outdoor seating to enjoy the massive expanse of water and sky. A curving set of wood and stone steps lead down to the water where one can barbeque, go kayaking, sit and relax, or walk on the beach. I saw an eagle swoop on some cormorants that were sitting out on a floating dais (they dove and easily escaped him). The view of Mt. Rainier from the beach is unique and if one walks down a ways one can see the Seattle skyline. The place is everything it is advertised to be: the windows overlook Eagle Harbor with the ferries coming and going, the kitchen is well equipped and the stove has gas burners, the bed is very comfortable, the television has more channels than I would ever watch, Wi Fi is free, the bathroom is clean and the showerhead is powerful. The owners were friendly and honored my privacy. Photographers, artists, birdwatchers, couples, small families, kayakers, an individual looking to relax - I could go on - will all find something here. I found true peace and quiet.

My group did a working retreat here, checking in September 30th, 2011…read more Although the paperwork agreed to said we could check in at 3:00 PM, Gina allowed our out of state group to check in much earlier. Thank you! The furniture was all on the newer side, in good shape and very comfortable. One thing somewhat missing from the photos are of the front and back of the property. If there were, you would notice the property is on a really steep hill and there are lots of stairs. From the street level leading to the house, there are perhaps 25 really steep stairs. It wasn't an issue for anyone in our group, but I can see some people with difficulty negotiating stairs having problems and would definitely not recommend this house for you. The stairs don't go away once inside. It is a 4 story house with stairs everywhere. The bedrooms were really hit and miss. All had some kind of flat screen tv inside which was a nice touch, however some were rather "unconventional". For example, one bedroom on the top floor was up against the roof line, losing headroom and made it difficult to walk in around the bed without crouching. But, let's face it... You aren't renting this house to stay in the bedrooms all day. Another thing I thought different from the pictures is the water... Again.. more stairs and a hill to go down, but the water is MUCH closer than the photos show. The hot tub was a wonderful getaway in the evenings when it was misting outside... Great to look out over the water and relax. We did notice a few nozzles on the hot tub were not working properly, but that was minor. The rear yard/ beach area seemed very private. I know there were houses nearby, but the tree lines, bushes etc made it seem very private! This house is spread over 4 levels... So although it is good sized, there wasn't one particular room our group of 12 people could all sit down in sofas together in... or even eat a meal together.... We managed to pull up a few kitchen table chairs to the main room and make due, and ate "buffet style" in two groups.... The kitchen table seats 8 and the sofas in the grand room seat 6 comfortably... so if you are looking for one huge room where everyone has a seat, this house kind of lacks there. I have pointed out the worst about this property... and it isn't that bad. I would go back here in a minute... In fact, we are thinking about a family trip next time we visit!
