It was a rainy weekday evening, and we couldn't help but cozy up with a bowl of Matzo Ball Soup. So comforting and satisfying. Just like I remember. They have a special paper kiddo menu and crayons to draw with. We also ordered the Kid's Chicken & Latke with house made applesauce. Yum! I noticed they have a fun new cocktail menu including a Pickled Martini and Dill-infused vodka drink. They also offer beer/wine, and other classic cocktails. Service was attentive and they were so kind to our kiddo. We didn't get any classic meat sandos this time around, but I was eyeing the Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich and Tuna Melt (if not in the Corn Beef or Pastrami on Rye mood), or maybe even the Adult Hot Dog..I know, I know, but I like what I like! We appreciate the Soup & Half Sando for $17, and brekky options too. They have vegetarian and vegan menu options, and we noticed yummy dessert. Catering and deli to-go avail also. Limited parking can be found in front of restaurant/nearby (but not impossible). Farmer's Market currently on Thursdays.

This is a great grab and go option location because to order you go up to the cashier at front and stand in line to place order and can seat yourself. There is both indoor and outdoor seating which is nice but again gets crowded fast. Everything is vegan which is good for anyone with dietary restrictions and the food did not take more than 20 minutes to come out. The location is feels homey and cafe like. Food wise I would say everything was good but nothing to be absolutely blown away by. Definitely would come back here to grab a quick bite if in mood for American style vegan food or in a rush to get something, but nothing that I would say is a must try or unique for myself at least.

If you like cartilage and fat and pork belly this is definitely the sandwich for you. Personally I prefer more lean cuts in my sisig but the sandwich still had an amazing variety of texture and flavor. There were cuts that melted in your mouth, skin that was gummy and chewy, and the bread crispy on the outside but soft on the inside (similar to a chicken bake) which complimented the softer textures well. The staff were super friendly and service was fast considering how busy they were. After walking in and ordering my food came out in about 10-15 minutes. Their sandwiches average around 17 dollars, which I know is really steep, but the quality is seriously top tier and the portion for this sandwich was insanely generous. Luckily for me it's my cheat day so this visit was definitely a treat. I'm coming back for sure.

Perfectly seasoned, incredibly juicy, and just flat-out amazing. My wife got the bánh mì, which honestly wasn't my style. I prefer a traditional, authentic bánh mì like the ones at Bánh Mì Ba Lẹ, especially since classic spots charge a fraction of the price. Overall, it's a solid spot, but I'd skip their bánh mì and stick strictly to that top-tier chicken sandwich!

This is my family and my favorite Italian restaurant! Everything on the menu is delicious,…read moreflavorful, and refreshing without being overly heavy like Italian food often is. Their bread is especially amazing- perfect texture. The Calabrian shrimp is another highlight- juicy and tender. We found it very tasty, but paying over $25 for this on DoorDash--certainly not worth the price even though we really enjoyed it. The spicy chicken parm sandwiches were not good. The chicken breast was flabby, and came across like it was one of those frozen cooked Tyson jobs. I would be very surprised if they actually breaded chicken breast, fried it, and made the sandwich with that. It was mushy, and the breading was like paste on the chicken. Pretty awful. They charge extra for sauce, which is a little much, given that we paid $21 for each sandwich. But we figured out pretty quickly why they do this: there was hardly any sauce on the sandwiches. And precious little cheese. We each ate half of our sandwich and figured we doctor the leftovers up the next day with a jar of Rao's and a bag of shredded Italian cheese. That helped, but nothing could save that chicken. The meatballs. We paid $15 for four, and we had high hopes, but they were so mushy that they fell apart in the sauce, and I couldn't tell what was sauce and what was meatballs. The only flavor that came across was fennel. Why any meatball should be so fennel-forward strikes me as bizarre. We got what we thought were pretty basic things, and they were fails. If an Italian place can't make a decent chicken parm sandwich nor a decent meatball, that says something. If you go, try the pinsa.

Sometimes it's good to try something different and a place with some interesting character and characters. I usually get deli sandwiches which have deli meats but this place has fried chicken sandwiches . So I was craving a sandwich so I headed to Crave Subs in Downtown Berkeley next to BART station. They have lots of sandwiches available on the menu. On a Summer stroll getting some sun in Downtown Berkeley I landed at Crave Subs. Inside it's like you stepped into an ice cream parlor with a comic book shop and arcade and a deli all at the same time. You will see sandwiches on the menu called the Pikachu, Ned Flanders, and Bart Simpson. You will see Chewbacca fries along with the Spider-Man fries and the vegan Sailormoon fries. I got the Captain Boom Halal Fried Chicken, Boom Boom Sauce, Cheddar Cheese and Crave Sauce on a roll. It was tasty and a bit crunchy and had lots of flavor. It's one of the best Halal chicken sandwiches I had. If you crave a fried chicken sandwich then Crave Subs is the spot. It will "cost "you an extra 50 cents if you want to "floss" with extra drip "sauce" to show off on social media and during OSL my social media feed was stuck in the" Land of OZ" If you want great fried chicken sandwich you don't need to visit KFC or meet the chicken"commanders" like the late "Colonel Sanders" just get a Captain Boom with "Halal chicken standards" or grab a Pikachu sandwich or a turkey sandwich called the "Ned Flanders "
