Smoked chicken!!!!
Molly T.

Wow! We've been here many times! Today was amazing! First, dirty vodka martinis. No apps - we get too full! But our wait person, Chris, was fantastic! Personable, helpful and fun! My hubby ordered the chicken fried chicken and the smoked half chicken. It may be the best smoked chicken and smoked wings I've had in a while! Don't sleep on the prime rib special on Friday nights either! Go there, get some! Life's too short for boring food!

My girlfriend and I, visit today and it was amazing. Caitlyn was our server, she did fantastic. Offer us plenty of options to snack and enjoy, recommended the burnt ends which were outstanding. Also comply to all of our needs, she was attentive, respectful and friendly. She was a 5 star server. Great place to visit too, love the place in general and will come back soon.

I had the burnt ends and the half smoked chicken. The food was great and the atmosphere is good. The bartender was on the spot. It's a great place to watch the game.

Came here for lunch. Nick was our server. Ver7 friendly, nice, and attentive. We ordered the BBQ combo of Brisket and sausage, potato salad and beans. Also ordered the spicy fried chicken sandwich with fries. Great tasting food! Need to come and try more items on the menu.

A friend recommended this place, and it was absolutely perfect. He raved about the food and boy was he correct! They have so many wine, spirits and beers on tap for you to choose from. I went with the jalapeño cheddar sausage, which comes with two sides. I chose the white cheddar mac & cheese, and the coleslaw. When I tell you every single item was delicious I truly mean it. The sausage was so cheesy and flavorful. The mac & cheese was so creamy, and the coleslaw was great as well. We came in on a Sunday afternoon and we sat right away. It wasn't busy. However, there is a ton of seating. The staff was super friendly and we felt welcome the entire time. Large parking lot as well.

The staff was really nice and I appreciated that after a long work day. The restaurant was a packed house on Friday and my party of 4 were able to get a table within 15 minutes. I love the food here! I would highly recommend the appetizer nachos, the brisket sliders, and the steaks. The steaks will meat in your mouth. I am thankful for the portion sizes and also the drink variety. I chose a frozen flight and all the drinks tasted really good. We will be back in the near future.

I like this restaurant and would love for one to be in my hometown. The chicken fried steak is a great deal - on Sundays it is $10...with mashed potatoes and green beans. Service is fast and friendly. Prices are great.

I have heard of meat that falls off the bone, but I never experienced it until I had their ribs.

Food was good, service was impeccable. Not too loud on a weeknight. Reasonable prices. I'd definitely go back.

We were headed in that direction for an errand, so today was the day. We arrived around 2pm on a Saturday and the place was empty, except for two nice gals working the counter. I had already spotted the BLT on the menu and since it is nearly tomato season, the craving had stuck. With a name like "Ultimate BLT," how could we resist? Hubby added a cup of the tomato bisque, which turned out to be a pretty large portion. The sandwich comes with house-made chips. I kind of wish I had splurged on the carrot lemonade, which looked and sounded amazing, but I didn't. Next time. One of the gals let me sample the tarragon chicken salad. It was good but not quite tarragon-y enough for me. The BLT, however, was very, very good. It had a little spicy kick from something; maybe the aioli??...and the bacon was that perfect combo of thick, crispy, and chewy. The sandwich was big enough for the two of us to split, and I left happy. Bonus points for the soundtrack in this place. If you are a former 1980s punk rocker, you will appreciate the Joy Division and The Cure playing in the background. My soul did a little MOSH pit dance.

Fortunately, the daily feature menu provided drink suggestions. When decision making had reached its weekly limit, the Kobe & Crab Smash Burger was ideal. Rather than choose between meat or seafood, the burger is surf & turf between two buns. Fries or onion rings? How about fried onions as a topping and beer-battered fries as a side? While the hatch chili aioli lacked the heat to compensate for the smorgasbord of toppings, it complemented the crab cake.

To be clear, I celebrate the Denton fusion; it's one of my fave things about gems like Picone & Komodo Loco- the cuisine cannot be found anywhere else. Picone's chicken cutlets = mind blowing. The Piccata is my fave, but you really can't go wrong with any of their chicken parms. Their menu is fairly simple - no Cheesecake Factory novel to read. Check their website because they change their menu frequently. I love that they do this. Many things are staples but I've never been mad for choosing something new. Besides piccata, my partner likes the smash burger. I love the burnt carrots. Their focaccia pizza was outstanding. We like the potatoes and the Cesar salad, but they're outshined by the rest of the menu so we rarely get them. My recommendation: get a chicken parm of your choosing & one of their specials. Then share with one of your peeps. (The cutlets are the size of your head). Now let's talk staff and service. I have never ever had bad service there & have thoroughly enjoyed all interactions with staff. I feel like everyone really likes being there & cares about what they do. Go in with joy and joy will be returned to you. Ambiance: You order at the counter when you walk in. They'll give you a number and you sit wherever. It's super-casual, kinda small-ish hole-in-the-wall in the best way. It's always been doing a brisk business when we've gone. Be aware that the back room can get loud because of acoustics so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to it. There is limited onsite parking, but ton of street parking all around. I think that covers it. :) Enjoy!!

People seemed to love Picone, so we went! Interesting place. Small and casual. There is a counter at the front, and on the counter is a board which shows the menu. We were told we could take a picture of the menu with our phones, sit down and peruse it, or just go ahead and order. We ordered, were given a number card to place on our table, and the food was brought to us. MIL and I got the chicken parm, and SIL got the chicken piccata. SIL and I thought our meals were delicious. MIL said her chicken was overcooked and she didn't enjoy it. (She also didn't like that there were no printed menus, but she's 87 and likes things how she likes them.) The chicken parm comes with "Sunday Sauce," which they told me is marinara. To me, it was spicier than marinara, and I really liked it. The portions were very large, and I took most of my food home with me. I didn't notice if they offered desserts or not. In Boston we have great Italian food, and I hadn't found that in Denton - until now. This was surprisingly good food and I would definitely return.
