It's got a wading pool ( currently out of commission), playground, volleyball courts, tennis courts, fields, picnic areas, and it's connected by Blunn Creek trails (easily walkable from one park to the other). Good area for walking your dog, grabbing a quick picnic, playing in the playground, or getting in a game of tennis. My dog is a big fan of the slide. My tennis is rusty to say the least. Though whenever we visit this park I leave determined to take the sport up again. One day, perhaps.

There are two playgrounds that are designed to give a play area to children of all ages. The covered pavilion has picnic benches and is located between the playgrounds and the splash pad which gives you the best view of the entire park while your kids run around. The jewel of this park is the splash pad. I recommend bringing chairs and blankets to sit on as there are not any right near this area. The bathrooms are located right next to this spot which is great for changing your kids in. I suggest wearing water shoes if your kids will be running in and out of here, there are many "stickers" all around. I hope the city continues to bring more to the East Side of Buda. There are communities here that have been ignored but are thriving!

This is a decent sized park that has a lot going for it. Here you will also find some fairly clean and decent public restrooms and there is a gravel trail around the perimeter which leads to other trails in the area. Next to the pool, you'll find a very nice basketball court and on the opposite side you'll find the Heritage House Museum. This park has very ample parking with numerous handicap spots. Currently, it should be mentioned that from 3 to 6 PM on Tuesdays, you'll find a small farmers market gathered in the red barn at the rear of the park. One odd item that is also at the rear of the park is a very large old piece of farming equipment rusting into the ground. Plenty of photos included to add more insight.

The park is certainly geared more towards children, which is great! There's plenty of space in the playground area as well as picnic tables and a pavilion. As 2 adults in our mid 30s, we thoroughly enjoyed the length of the trail, as well as the detail in the sculpture quality, and the plaques along the way that provide historic descriptions of each exhibit. It's a fun place, though, is highly recommended bringing a child along as it would make the experience even better.

And bring a stroller -- it's gravel, most strollers can handle it. I made the mistake of carrying my 1-year-old (in a carrier) on the trail and was super tired. It's a decent amount of walking. Visitor's center has ample bathrooms and they're clean. They also have toys for sale -- lots of toys. Great curation of dino-themed merch. My one tiny complaint is the lack of a trash can on the trail. One mid-way would help (maybe a T-Rex head lid, for fun). I had a wrapper from a melted protein bar and had to carry it. Overall, really fun activity for kids at a reasonable price (2 and under are free).
