There are pavilions available and plenty of areas to sit down. The parking are was really good. There are several jungle gyms for the kiddos. The walking trail is well kept and free or holes or anything that will cause you to fall. I saw wildlife along the way. People were fishing, eating, walking, playing games, and just enjoying life. Good area for walking your dog, grabbing a quick picnic, playing in the playground, or getting in a game of tennis. My dog is a big fan of the slide. My tennis is rusty to say the least. There are two playgrounds that are designed to give a play area to children of all ages. The covered pavilion has picnic benches and is located between the playgrounds and the splash pad which gives you the best view of the entire park while your kids run around. The jewel of this park is the splash pad. I recommend bringing chairs and blankets to sit on as there are not any right near this area. The bathrooms are located right next to this spot which is great for changing your kids in. I suggest wearing water shoes if your kids will be running in and out of here, there are many "stickers" all around. I hope the city continues to bring more to the East Side of Buda. There are communities here that have been ignored but are thriving!

This is a decent sized park that has a lot going for it. Here you will also find some fairly clean and decent public restrooms and there is a gravel trail around the perimeter which leads to other trails in the area. Next to the pool, you'll find a very nice basketball court and on the opposite side you'll find the Heritage House Museum. This park has very ample parking with numerous handicap spots. Currently, it should be mentioned that from 3 to 6 PM on Tuesdays, you'll find a small farmers market gathered in the red barn at the rear of the park. One odd item that is also at the rear of the park is a very large old piece of farming equipment rusting into the ground. Plenty of photos included to add more insight.

Dinosaur Park in Cedar Creek is amazing!…read more I have a little one that is absolutely obsessed with dinosaurs and my social media algorithm has been sending me videos of this place for years, so I was very excited to finally check it out. They are located in Cedar Creek which is south east of Austin (about 20-30min drive from downtown Austin). When you arrive you get your tickets and give you a quick explanation of the trail. The trail with all the dinosaurs was amazing! They probably had about 30 something dinosaurs, mammals and reptiles around the trail. We did the walk in around 45min but we definitely did it at a higher pace since my kid was very excited and kept running from one dino to the next. I like that they had a small description for each one with some fun facts. They also had a couple smaller dinosaurs hidden around the trail and they also had smaller ones that you could take pictures with. At the end of the trail they also have a playground and an area where you can "excavate" for fossils. You can also rent a private area near the playground for birthday parties which I thought was really awesome. The store is huge and has a crazy selection of dinosaurs toys (probably the best I've ever seen). Overall, an amazing experience and I will definitely be back during my next trip to Austin!

The park is certainly geared more towards children, which is great! There's plenty of space in the playground area as well as picnic tables and a pavilion. As 2 adults in our mid 30s, we thoroughly enjoyed the length of the trail, as well as the detail in the sculpture quality, and the plaques along the way that provide historic descriptions of each exhibit. It's a fun place, though, is highly recommended bringing a child along as it would make the experience even better.
