Helpful Staff, Years ago I was able to get an architect quality copy. Most recently I bought a few pens, and watercolor tablets, and ordered a pocket Windsor Newton watercolor set. This time, the woman at the counter was very polite. She didn't need to like me,bshe was helpful, respectful, and polite. read more

Love this place. Art store/engineering supplies/great pricing and fast as lightening turnaround on blueprints. We email them plans and next thing you know they say they are ready for pick up. This is a locally owned small business and the customer service is great. What more could you ask for? If you are in the Humboldt County area there is no reason to go to Kinko's or a big box store again. read more

Proprietor is very friendly and helpful. Store is easy to find @ the corner of Fifth Ave and E Street. Also his dog, I think named Molly, helped me when I was searching for water color paint brushes as she seemed to guide me right to them after I asked her where they were (just kidding a little, but the dog is really lovely and friendly and really did nudge me along to where they were after I jokingly asked her -- worth a a visit to the store just to meet her). I found also the proprietor was well stocked in all the art supplies that I needed @ a reasonable price. I love this place. The people are nice, extremely helpful and know their stuff. I do A LOT of "adult" coloring using colored pencils. Before I found these guys I'd buy my supplies on sale at Michael's. But the custoer service was lacking. The loose pencils were usually broken but i I didn't know it till I bought them and tryed to use them. They would crumble & I would loose 1/2-3/4 of the pencil trying to sharpen them. But not here, their loose pencils don't seem to have that problem. But I think if it happened they would stand behind their merchandise. Great place to shop. read more

Fantastic service and fantastic prices. Think again if you think Michaels has better prices. These guys do and they treat their customers like they want to keep you for the long run. They carry Gamblin paints which I love and a broad range of brushes. All manners of markers, pens, pencils as well as all their engineering and printing services. These guys are NONSTOP AWESOME. They are kind, helpful, and are responsive to questions. If they don't know something, they'll either ask one of their coworkers, or let you know that they don't know the answer to your question, which is actually way more helpful than some random bullshit answer. They will do special orders, and give an awesome student discount, just bring in your student ID. The PRICES ARE GOOD, and easily comparable to big chain box stores (and if you've been to Michaels, the prices aren't that great, and the service is TERRIBLE).
