Just like most people you meet in real life they're fake and so are the damn prices at this store. The price listed under the item on the shelf was more than half of what it is when you finally checkout up at the cashier more than double at the cashier in other words. False advertisement, they don't care, they fake you out and get your money going out. Fine selection and clean store good deals. But the employee was unhelpful and short with me for no reason. Waited in line for a long time, needed help finding something and had the SKU number and it said in stock online but she refused to look on handheld or computer if it was in stock. Just pointed me back to the aisle I told her I was just in, there were none on the shelf and no shelf tag for the product. I understand things being out of stock isn't their fault but poor customer service sucks. Another woman with a gift card issue was dealing with an employee who looked over it before it began too. Maybe they're short staffed. Also when I came back around to check out the same employee that wouldn't help with my question started doing the self check out for me which I found strange. My most recent visit to Michaels was early March of 2022. I was hoping to buy some cake decorating supplies as a birthday gift for someone in my family. I was seeking Rosanna Pansino items by Wilton, which Michaels carries. As I perused the store aisles I noticed many empty shelves, but I understand this could be due to understaffing and/or supply chain issues. However, the small selection of items they did carry was grossly overpriced. While Michaels does carry some wonderful items that inspire creativity, their prices are just not competitive and as an informed consumer who strives to make financially sound purchases, I just couldn't spend the money. I went home and purchased cake decorating supplies online from a different shop and got way more for my dollars. The manager was not customer service oriented. She made this clear by showing obvious irritation when asked a simple question about a product. She set a bad example for other employees working under her. My fiancé and I went for some fun painting supplies while on vacation. Went in, found our stuff, and checked out with a pleasant young woman. However, the three of us (which means even the employee) noticed that the register took a little longer than usual to process our order, but we three chatted it up, so no harm no foul. The employee even said she was going to trust the process so it didn't glitch or freeze completely. We laughed and agreed. We got the car and realized we were charged twice (bank statement and electronic receipt.) We went back inside, the employee realized we were back and asked what happened. We explained and showed her, she was also baffled and asked that a manger come up. The manager, ANGIE, was rude and disrespectful from the start. We explained, along with her employee, what happened. We informed her we're not from town and just wanted to make sure it was a simple computer glitch. Her inability to not give attitude was apparent with her endless, "*annoyed sigh. JUST WAIT, NOTHING I CAN DO". Didn't, at first, offer anything - just kept saying that. I finally said, "no one is blaming anyone, just wanted to get it sorted. I need corporate's number if you're not sure or can't help," to which she pleasantly responded, "Google it," and while I can appreciate the "GTS" statement as much as anyone else... now wasn't the time for blatant disrespect or games. She didn't even want to give us her name when asked. So I let her know we're calling corporate and asked her name only so we can say who we spoke with at the store in case they needed to call them. The employee who helped us had a look of shock and disgust when Angie barely handed us a receipt paper with just her first name. We of course are now annoyed and walked out store. We called corporate and they provided a ticket number and told us to call back in three to five business days if it wasn't resolved. They also said they'd follow up with Angie's ugly, unprofessional, and grotesque behavior. I then get contacted again saying they will look into it and provided an unwanted gift card of $5. My fiancé, who paid for everything and was never contacted even though we made it clear the charge was on his card, then had to continue to follow up with corporate to resolve the double charge. No one contacted him, no one helped, no one cared. Just disgusting behavior and for no reason. We simply wanted to paint and have fun on our vacation while we took in the beautiful scenery. I google ups locations and this pops up, I walk past a giant sign that says we accept ups drop offs. I attempt to drop off an Amazon package, with the standard QR code code Amazon uses for all it's ups returns. I keep getting very rudely cut off and interrupted, and repeatedly she states they only take pre packaged returns. I had avoided the store, given the overall rating, but I was recently in need of some craft distractions for my little one. I'm so glad I gave them a try. I used the curbside pickup option, called when I was out front and was immediately assisted! I didn't catch the girl's name that came out, but she was so sweet! Thank goodness for this store in Eureka... they have everything your crafting heart needs and plenty of cute home decorative stuff. There is always some type of sale happening so make your rounds throughout the place. Big store with a large selection and friendly staff, leading the way is the manager, Phyllis. I buy a lot of yarn, and yarncraft supplies here. I was browsing the yarns, and all I could hear was the manager yelling at a new employee. They were in the restroom. The manager was mad the girl wasn't scrubbing the toilet correctly. I've noticed this manager is a grouch now. What happened to her? She was always friendly before. The employees never seem too happy. I had to use the restroom and there was a lady who i passed, who was working there, and i asked her to put the restroom code in for me and she told me to press the button and someone else would come. First off, she should have stopped what she was doing and taken two seconds to help me out, Secondly i was standing there for like 7 minutes and that same lady came over and was like "fine i guess ill do it". This store is OK. I really like how large it is & it generally has a good selection for most things. Plus the 40% off coupons are great. My problem is it can be hard to find someone to help you, although when you do find someone they are generally nice & knowledgeable. Also, their sewing section is virtually nonexistent, so most of the time I have to go to Jo-Anns just to get some thread. read more

Horrible service. Asked for help finding some paper with boarders for a school project that is due tomorrow and they directed me to the yarn section. Nobody was around to help so I called them on the phone and told them they gave me the wrong directions and I could hear them laughing all the way in the back of the store and they were in the front of the store, so we came to staples and we had at least 3 employees ask us if we needed help from the time we walked in until we got to the back of the store. My last purchases (stitching craft kits) were found to be damaged when I got home and they didn't want to refund me (didn't have exchange in stock, but eventually did give refund). Decent selection for basics in many areas, but not good quality supplies in anything I have looked for. On time I went there to use framing department, it was clear the person helping me didn't know much about art handling and tried to sell a totally inappropriate frame. I drive to here instead of Medford because of the service I receive despite Medford being the larger store. I purchased over a hundred dollars of wired ribbon for Christmas with a long list of additional items for my hurried holiday season. As I migrated through the store with a big craft item list I ran across several store employees but one in particular stood out, Phylis!! Her professional attitude, helpfulness, efficiency, vast knowledge of the store as well as the item I asked for made my experience delightful. This lady is on the ball and knows her stuff! I come back to this store because of her professional helpful attitude. I have dubbed her the "guru" for assistance. If I can't find it she directs me, shows the way, finds the product or offers to order it. Don't waste time wandering the store if you're on a mission, find Phylis. No, I'm not related or a friend.
