Very pleasant. Small town artist feel (but my experience with small town artists are very talented artists. They cut my glass for free, which I didn't expect. (An old family photo that needed a new glass for, which I brought.) The other patron in the shop was so much fun and they were very helpful for her: finding the best frame, color for a photo with many subtle colors in it. Definitely not intrusive but helpful. We had a large vintage batik piece that we wanted to display but didn't know just how. Took it to Art Center Frame shop and discussed it with Monica. It seemed too rustic to have a formal frame, so Monica suggested stretching and attaching it to a plain backing, with wood reinforcements and hanger on the back. She showed me an example of a poster she'd done that way it and I liked it. I think it took three weeks and when I got it back, it was perfect. It displayed the batik so it looked better than ever. It was easy to hang in our house and we are delighted with it. And the cost was quite reasonable. I would recommend Art Center Frame Shop to anyone needing framing. read more

I recently had a couple large paintings framed and this family owned and operated frame shop does very good clean quality work. A solid framing staff that's easy to work with and make the overall framing your artwork a good experience. Good selection of frame corner samples to run the gamut of personal tastes and styles, metals, composites and woods, minimalist to ornate, with color, texture and pattern combinations only limited by ones imagination. This shop carries 100% acid free archival quality mats and fittings as well as standard quality mats and glass. They also carry high end museum quality glass products, when you want to really protect your art. This is a busy frame shop and it may take a while, but the work is clean and high quality. DO NOT USE. I was told it would be 6 weeks. I waited 10 weeks for my artwork to be framed. The original art work was damaged. I stopped by to see when my art work would be ready, the person working there was all overwhelmed, acted put out by my request, and told me it would take her "20 minutes" just to locate my receipt. I was like, 'start looking'. This is important. 10 weeks, 2 days later, I picked up my art work. The framing was so bad, I immediately took it apart, and rescued my drawing from that horrible frame job. I am stunned that they would put thier name on such poor quality work. The original art work has been damaged. The mat is poorly cut. Not even. They did not follow the instructions. I have to go back next week to see about a refund. read more

I am thrilled to have found these folks and their workshop. Couldn't be more confident in their skills. Instead of taking a holiday this year, I decided to buy art with that travel money. Also, over the years I have collected quite a bit of art in varying mediums. None have been properly protected from the elements. Now I that I seem to be in my 'forever home' it is time to preserve my collection the way it should be so all can be enjoyed in their glory. I am enamored with photography. Of course, each picture must be protected. These folks are proficient at their craft. I have had a lot of photos/drawings/paintings matted and framed by them. Each is perfectly done. A few of my pieces are heirlooms and very fragile. The Art Center folks have handled each in the most careful manner. No damages at all. More than being good craftspeople, they are incredibly helpful in assisting me to find the right color matting and frame material. Never have I felt rushed while making up my mind about how each piece is to be finished. Any questions are patiently answered. All processes are fully explained. I highly recommend them. read more

I was under the gun for a house staging and needed a print framed quickly. It was an odd size and had damage to the picture from a failed frame job done by someone else locally. The folks here were so helpful, gave expert advise and even repaired the damage so one wouldn't know it was damaged at all. The sizing of the picture, the nice matching of a frame, and the very nice finishing touches all at a very reasonable cost in lickety-split time was service beyond belief, but it was true. Up until now, I've disliked much to do with social media, but I am willing to do this because they deserve business and citizens will be glad they took their business here. I gave them a tip, but upon seeing the final results on the wall, I felt I needed to do more. Thank you ! read more
