Asked them to change a drain pan and service / insulate my AC handler to stop sweating. In 3 months, drain pan was rusted, AC handler "sweat" filled drain pan with water which instead of draining accumulated and flooded garage roof. Quite a few thousand dollars went down the pipe and they won't return my calls.

We had an AC unit that was over 20 years old. We got about 8 different quotes because we needed a completely new system and duct work. The duct work in our home was under sized and was improperly installed and it was not sealed at the registers so there was a lot of leaks into the attic. We needed new drain lines and new copper as well as a new breaker box outside. All the companies that we had giving us proposals, each left something out or tried to convince us that we could reuse an old component, which made no sense to me, why put it brand new and reuse old 20 year old parts? When Ellington came out, they really did a thorough investigation of the duct work, the inside of the house, they measured the air quality, the air output in each room and designed a system with the correct size duct for the proper air distribution for cooling efficiency for the size of the rooms. So they started to work on a Tuesday, everything was a mess, but they cleaned up both what we had tracked inside and what they were pulling out of the attic every day. They were so polite and professional. By Thursday afternoon we were up and running. Everything looked beautiful. When considering a new AC system for your home, I couldn't recommend a better choice than Ellington. After 8 other companies , none were able to give us the kind of quality, performance or professionalism that we received from Ellington. They are not the cheapest but they are not the most expensive either but I think that this is an important investment. We have been limping along on that old system since last summer and I know we would not have made it through this summer. With our thermostat set on 76 degrees our house was actually 82 degrees. Now with our new AC system, we can set it at 78 degrees and with the correct size duct, It is a very comfortable temperature throughout the entire house. Give Ellington a call, you will not be disappointed!

Earlier this year while out of town on business I was informed by phone that there had been a…read morerather unpleasant occurrence within my residence and suffice to say there would need to be major cleaning done. Making the task more difficult was the fact that my extended family was also out of the country and nobody had access to the residence save one friend with a key who couldn't be there to supervise the work. I called ServPro of Central Brevard since I knew they specialized in the type of cleanup I needed done and was connected with the owner, Raymond, who wound up being a comforting and helpful individual to deal with my issue. Ray took it upon himself to meet my friend at work who had the keys to my residence, after which he meticulously documented the scene in my house with digital photographs that he emailed me and then discussed via phone. He then prepared a rather reasonably priced estimate for the work to be done, and he ensured the work was done in a timely manner. I was able to accomplish this all from out of state due to the great communication from Ray and his staff, and when I was able to eventually get back and survey the work they had done I was satisfied with the great job. I can say with confidence that this company is trustworthy and easy to deal with, even when faced with rather stressful occurrences. A++

I am writing to formally address a dispute regarding the water heater installation services…read moreprovided by Climate Experts. Below is a detailed account of the situation, including the timeline, agreements, and subsequent issues: Timeline and Agreements Initial Quote and Agreement: On 5 February 2025, Climate Experts provided a quote for installing a customer-supplied water heater. The quote explicitly stated: "The replacement water heater can be installed either in the attic space where the existing one currently is (provided it fits in the attic access), or it can be installed in the garage. Either location, pricing valid for either.", "*Installation includes all required wiring & water lines." Pictures and requested information were provided by my realtor to assist in preparing the quote. Additional detailed pictures of the house layout were available online via the property listing. I signed the quote on 7 February 2025 and paid $2,150 on 9 February 2025. Tech Visit and Refusal to Install: The technician arrived at the property and stated that the supplied water heater could not be installed in the attic due to its hybrid nature, weight concerns, and potential condensation issues. I requested that the water heater be installed in the garage, as explicitly stated in the signed quote. Climate Experts refused, claiming the situation was not as expected and that installation in the garage would cost more than the quoted and paid amount. Forced Purchase of Additional Water Heater: Due to time constraints related to the sale of the house, Climate Experts leveraged the urgency of the situation, leaving me with no choice but to purchase the recommended water heater for installation in the attic. The new water heater was installed with an invoice dated 17 February 2025 and signed 13 February 2025. Issues and Concerns Failure to Honor Signed Quote: The signed quote explicitly stated that the water heater could be installed in the garage. Climate Experts refused to honor this agreement, citing additional costs and unforeseen circumstances despite having sufficient information (pictures, listing details, etc.) to prepare the quote. Lack of Due Diligence: Climate Experts did not send a technician to inspect the property prior to providing the quote, despite my realtor offering flexibility to accommodate a visit. This oversight led to inaccurate assumptions and subsequent issues. Leverage of Time Constraints: Climate Experts leveraged the urgency of the situation, forcing me to purchase an additional water heater to meet the inspection requirements for selling the house. Financial Impact: I incurred additional costs due to Climate Experts' refusal to honor the original agreement and their lack of due diligence.

Tech called didn't want to come. Husband said not an emergency, but call center said no available appointments tomorrow. Not sure why review reads I am in San Fran. I am in Merritt Island, FL…read more The duct work installer, Dial Duron, has been out to my house 4 times to install new duct work, replacing the 22-year-old duct work that they suggested I remove. Keep in mind, pictures are the work they did, not the 20 year old duct work to be fixed. Also, wet mastic is 2 weeks after applying. I should mention I turned my AC to 82 for a week in order to help mastic dry. Did not work. I was told keeping my air at 72 when I am at home is too cold. Never had an issue in my other Florida homes. -------------- Work done below. -1st time. replaced all of it. -2nd time to fix many mistakes they did installing new duct work. -3rd time to fix many mistakes that still were not fixed from 2nd visit. -4th time they pulled out all feeder duct work they installed the first time and tried to fix the 2nd & 3rd time. Installed new duct work and mixing boxes. Here we are again with similar issues that the last 4 times did not fix. - Cold air is leaking out of the duct work where it meets the boots on many feeds. - The mixing box is leaking air on one that I checked. I will check all of them soon. - Mastic is not drying because air is leaking out of boots. -Moisture is building up and will cause mold. I was told that I may have to install a dehumidifier in the attic to stop the moisture. If this was true, why on the same mixing box some of the duct work is dry and the one next to it is not. See videos and pictures attached. This is in many areas. Not just one. I also am including photos and videos of items they had to come out and fix the 2nd and 3rd time just so you get an idea of what I am so mad about. One video shows dripping water from newly installed duct work. This was dripping on what is my ceiling. Can you imagine what my ceiling would look like if I did not have them come out and fix the mistake they did. This particular problem was solved on 2nd visit. Another picture shows where they did not apply any mastic. I would not recommend them at all. Wrote this review a couple weeks ago. Update - Mastic still not dry. Air still leaking. After waiting several days, we were told they couldn't find the part, had never heard of our unit brand (iAire), and to contact the manufacturer. When I called iAire, they immediately confirmed the sensor is not proprietary and that generic replacements are compatible. These are cheap and widely available online. Ranger told us they were not comfortable working on our unit and that we would need to find someone else. I'm frustrated that this was not communicated upfront, especially after we waited days in the Florida heat for answers. If the company is unwilling to service smaller brands or use generic parts, they should have told us during the initial visit instead of leaving us in limbo. When I tried to express any dissatisfaction with the situation, their phone rep repeatedly interrupted and talked over me, and I could barely get a sentence out. When I spoke with my fiancé later, he told me he had been treated the same way. I'm not happy with the poor communication, lack of service, and unwillingness to listen. They took our money and dropped us, gave us a headache, and now we will have to pay someone else to come and fix the issue. This was really poor customer service. They justified this by blaming everything on our "cheap, offbrand" unit and have made no attempt to make things right with us. They have not stood behind their own values. You can see from their responses to upset reviewers that they do not take ownership when they let their customers down and find any way to shift the responsibility for their mistakes. Shameful. We will be filing a complaint with the BBB.
